    What an absolutely awful experience! The server was not attentive and gave us incorrect information regarding the Black Friday specials. She also kept rushing us to place our orders- we were meeting friends and weren't in a rush- and she was visibly irritated with us. Not once did she top up our wine. She also ignored/forgot several requests for ice or water. When we finally placed our orders, we had to repeat them several times because she took them down incorrectly. We then waited 90 MINUTES for our food!!! Had we not been with friends, we would have left. A few other tables did leave. There was no explanation for the delay. The food itself was fine, but in no way justified the wait. A very unsatisfactory 4 hour ordeal culminated with a bill that was almost unbelievable- because we ordered more wine to fill the time. What the charge for what they deliver is blind robbery. Give this place a skip unless you want to be ignored, hungry and overcharged!

    Dreadful service and a general sense of confusion with the staff. Food was completely mediocre and the menu was probably a room service menu. We got recommended to go by the locals as it was supposed to be the best restaurant in Knysna. The pictures online made me book immediately, and I was looking forward to going. I can’t even describe my disappointment. A relic of the past. They should sell to another owner.

    So very disappointed in this restaurant I don’t understand how it has 5 stars. Service was slow. Almost non existent. Perhaps it is an issue to get good staff in this area. When we arrived I asked to be seated away from the kids in the dining room as I heard them carrying on. I was told no kids in restaurant that it was the kitchen staff making all the noise (please keep the door closed!) Ordered the salmon medium. Came out sooo rare. Sent it back. Came back 15minutes later over cooked. My husband had already finished his meal- pasta which had a broken sauce and pasta. The manager -who was very nice- took the dinner off our bill and offered desert on the house but by that time it was too late We took a bottle of wine back to our room and a discount was given. Maybe because it’s the end of season? But we won’t have dinner here again during our stay. Sad

    It's a great place to come and have drinks while watching the sunset. The good is a bit of a hit and miss, the first time we came for dinner it was amazing. I had the steak which was tender and cooked perfectly, plus the starter was good. Our waiter gave us exceptional service. The second time we came was more of a miss, the food was not up the standard as before, some parts of my ribs were very hard and dry, i left a quarter to half of the meal cause i just couldn't go through. The spinach and butter nut sides were cold and we were not offered bread as per the prior visit. The waiter also was just not as proffessional as the one we had before. All in a rather mixed place, needs some consistency

    We were truly disappointed by our experiences at this restaurant. Unfortunately, we found a lack of love, care, and pride in its service. It's overpriced, the staff seemed clueless, and there appeared to be a lack of effective management. We cannot recommend it unless you have very low expectations or are simply attracted to the expensive decor. My husband and I have dined at this restaurant twice, and both times left with a sense of disappointment. Our most recent visit was the worst, and regrettably, we won't be returning. The poor service, or rather the lack of service, was evident despite the restaurant being nearly empty, with seemingly 10 waitstaff members missing from the scene. We attempted to speak to a manager, but our efforts were in vain. Upon arrival, we overheard another customer complaining about their overcooked steak, which deterred me from ordering steak, given the high price. I inquired about the chicken's tenderness with our waiter, and she suggested cooking it medium for tenderness. My husband and I were taken aback, as we knew you can't serve chicken medium-rare. Unfortunately, when my dish arrived, it was indeed medium-cooked chicken, served by a different waiter. We asked for a replacement, and the chef apologized, explaining that the previous waiter had requested nearly raw chicken for us. Another waiter came to apologize and expressed their understanding of our request. Serving raw chicken is unacceptable. Furthermore, we struggled to find a waiter when needed; we often had to get up or call for their attention. I ordered a tomato and onion salad, which, at R75, was a disappointment, consisting of just a quarter of a tomato and onion, along with the inedible stem of the tomato. Throughout this experience, we never saw a manager.

    We had booked a table for our holiday a month in advance. It was a struggle to book because they hardly (almost never) answer the phone. Upon arrival, there was no one at the concierge table and we spent some time figuring out where to go. We were sent from pillar to post. When we eventually arrived at the booked private room, the table was underwhelming prepared. It took 45 minutes to get something to nible on whilst waiting for our orders. The chef really saved the day as the food was delicious and turned out to be worth the wait. We had lamb shank, lamb curry, grilled fish and salmon dishes. Everyone was happy with the meal they ordered. Thank you chef for saving the day, I could just come back just to taste your food again. Due to bad service, we decided not to order dessert as we didn't want to be kept waiting again.

    What a lovely place and Kids Zone was really a fantastic venue for the children. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to make it fun for my grandchildren. Although the prices were a bit steep the milkshakes were delicious. I highly recommend this venue for Parents who want to relax while their children have fun playing on the equipment safely. A bonus is it's indoors so rain or shine you can enjoy the facility.

    WHAT A TERRIBLE RESTAURANT. Sat down and ordered food. Was then told the restuarant is for hotel guests but they would try to help us.The manager Daniel was extremely rude and "couldn't accomadate" us despite an empty restuarant. One of the worst experiences ever at a simple breakfast restuarant ever!

    Great setting, great service. I had the lamb shank and it was amazing! The balance of the group had 300g sirloin which was not great and not value for money. Overall, a great experience and place to spend time at.
