A beautiful full breakfast is offered on Sunday’s under umbrellas with a view of the lagoon. Otherwise a heart lunch or dinner option is available at The Bell. Beautiful grounds and views with a glimpse into the rich history of Knysna. A really beautiful experience and a regular amongst the locals.

Service on Tap with great Chicken livers at hand. Tucked away in wooded area with shade where required. Great views of the estate and surrounding water way. Can’t wait to try other menu items on a return trip to Africa!

Quaint and lovely. A tavern well worth a visit, their cheesecake deserves all the hype. Special shout out to our waiter Jeff who is a legend in his own right!

Sad day for us .. food was ok. I specifically asked for med to well not bloody. And my meat was bloody. Portions seemed small vrs cost. No table service at all. We had to get up and ask for what we wanted. Even when we were done we had to get up and ask for the bill. No service at all. There were only 3 tables, so not a busy day for staff. We have eaten here many times, mostly when its packed. And have always had a good experience, I've even ordered the same meal I had today, but today made us realise we won't be back.

Sunday roast dinner is reasonable value for money. A spoonful of ice-cream or cup of coffee within the price would round off the roast dinner meal and get us coming back more often. The outdoor venue is picturesque and comfortable.

Sorry guyz but a "tip" is for good service...there was NO service. A very pleasant and smiley young waitress showed us our place and took our order and that's where the service stopped...no options were given on the food order...our food arrived the portions were ridiculously small for the price charged, the chips you could count on 2 hands...no condiments where given we had to source our own from used tables, no one came back to us to ask how the food was or do we require anything and no one refreshed our glasses after repeatedly walking past and smiling at us ( we had to stop her and ask ) No music, not atmosphere? The restaurant had 3 tables including us, not busy? So please don't be surprised when you get a R25 tip on a R500 bill. I blame management for this for not doing their job by checking their staff or not giving proper training, it should be team work? I see this now way too often where establishments are quick to charge top dollar but not give the service or product quality.

We ordered a sirloin and bobotie with a bottle of red wine. Steak was thin and well over cooked, I ordered it rare and arrived well done. The bobotie was dry and unseasoned. Very little atmosphere to speak of and service was slow. Save your money and goes elsewhere!

Sunday Luch like Mum made it. Roast Beef Yorkshire Pudding Veg and Chicken. Meet Jefferey who runs the place and I mean runs. What a character he just makes you so happy. Great mentor to the young wait staff. Please Knysna support this place you will find hidden deli gorgeous grounds and a welcome that will make you feel right at home.

Truly a treat visiting this English-styled pub. The food was hearty and comforting. Thank you Russel and Jeffrey for the spectacular service. We especially loved your spirit and sense of humor with the random ‘standard’ and ‘super-duper’ lines thrown throughout our evening. Looking forward to supporting you in future years to come!

The Bell pub is, for me, a lovely reminisce of the old country pubs back in the UK. I appreciate the 'community' feel and getting away from the 'busyness' of life. Menu is simple, and I enjoy choosing from the daily specials board as it's interesting to try different dishes. Otherwise, recommend their 🥧 pies. Amazing 👏 New Years Eve bagpipes on the lawn beautiful atmosphere ....highly recommend you pencil this in Looking forward to trying out specials in 2023

The fish and chips is the best, beer batter but more thinner like tempura, consistent over a couple of years so recon the have a winning recipe..

Really interesting place, amazing vibe, cool staff, rich history, and you bet you'll pay for all of it.

Friendly and attentive staff. The menu is not extensive but there is something for everyone. I have been here several times. On this occasion the batter on my hake and my friend's prawns was soggy. Batter needs to be crisp. The glazed top on the creme brule was not hard like toffee but soft. Small points which makes this a 4/5 not 5/5 review.

Found this little gem by chance and the timing was perfect as the rugby was about to start! Very warm welcome and friendly staff. Beer great, wine delicious. Food was prompt and hot which was great especially as they also had a wedding going on- and what an absolutely beautiful setting! Loved our experience there. Thank you☺️☺️Sarah and Colin Forrester

Atmosphere, heart, a view of the lagoon, amazing food and super friendly service.. I could not think of a better place for a leisurely lunch than here - where food and service are a top priority and history of this place lingers in the little detail. You’re probably going to eat too much - the food is this good - so take a stroll through the perfectly manicured grounds and around the neighborhood and arrive back for your last drink..

👍👍 Such an amazing experience with top quality service and exceptional food and drinks. Perfectly located just above the beach, you have a stunning view of the ocean and we even spotted some whales doing their thing. Can definitely recommend the strawberry daiquiri mocktail and the chicken burger 🍔

👍 It is a good resturant. The location is superb. It is on one side of Knysna lagoon. It has nice tables with a view to the lake. In front of the resturant a nice and secure childern playground (may be it is the best childern playground in whole Knysna). Friendly staff. The area a round the resturant...

😠 As a local patron, I've frequented this spot often, but December brought unwelcome changes. The surge in prices felt disproportionate, making it ridiculously overpriced. Moreover, the lack of displayed prices on select drinks added to the frustration. While the food remains excellent, the sluggish s...

👍 Unique set up. Although a limited seaview it makes up for it with a sea sand floor and lovely fireplace Live bands play there on weekend. Good selection of variety of foods. Full bar including original cocktails. It is wheelchair friendly but may be difficult on a sea sand floor
