We had such a beautiful anniversary weekend. Very impressive that they cater so well for vegans. Amazing views… even in the shower! Couples massage on the deck was such a treat and absolute bliss! Staff were super helpful and accommodating…even serving our dinner on our deck. Loved it!

Beautiful place to enjoy the mist amazing sunsets. Very pretty and romantic. The rustic design lends itself well to the environment. The seating on the deck was our go to to watch the sunset. The food was good but the service was slow.

We loved our two-night stay and dinner here. The room was amazing and the girls had their own mezzanine room and loved the two pools. Breakfast was served on the terrace with the birds and dinner was delicious, and inexpensive. Can’t recommend highly enough

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Emily Moon and we were so lucky to have found this place. During our stay the staff were very friendly, the food is so good and tasty. Not to forget the location so close to iconic walking places. I must add the manager Alex was so friendly and welcoming, he came to us many times and proposed various places of interest to visit. I would recommend this place for an amazing experience

Our third time at EM. First was 15 years ago. It still has a magic. The suites are stunning. The location and ambience very special. We did leave feeling a little disappointed though that it had lost its unique personality. Simon and Diana were key to that. Things move on but the genuine personal touch was gone. No special ‘welcome back’. No drink on the house. No recognition at all we had sought out EM once more. Other places we stayed at on this trip as first timers made much more of a fuss over us. Please don’t loose the magic EM?

We had our daughters wedding there and it was a magical experience. Staff were so amazing, management are involved all the time, food is outstanding, organization was on point, and above all it was just the perfect venue. Rooms are gorgeous and the setting is just out of this world

A fantastic retreat outside of Plett. We had a wonderful 3 night stay here, the view from our balcony was unbelievable and so relaxing. The staff are lovely and very friendly. Food is superb, especially the main restaurant. Thanks for a lovely stop on our tour.

Absolutely exceptional! We got married here 2 weeks ago and made it a celebration with family and friends over the weekend. Everything was flawless, all the staff are friendly and welcoming. Alex and Helouise made sure that all our needs are met and that our special day went smoothly. The food, rooms and view are pure top class. Can't recommend this place more. Will be back for sure.

As a first timer to Emily Moon I was blown away by the beauty and the surroundings. We had 3 suites and each was so unique with amazing views. We made use of both restaurants, pool and bar and did not want to leave! The food was exceptional, the staff super friendly. Thank You to Alex and his staff for making our stay so memorable, you will definitely see us all again.

RESTAURANT: Beautiful location, great service, lovely vibe. The only area Emily Moon SLIGHTLY lacks in, is the food. Although delicious, not quite worth the price. That being said, the place is still a must visit! Absolutely beautiful location!!

Emily Moon is the most magical of places and we cannot wait to go back. The team were amazingly kind and helpful. The restaurant food was absolutely delish and our room was beautifully decorated. The outside shower was a hit with the kids! Highly recommend

We stayed two nights here during a road trip along the Garden Route. I only wish we'd stayed longer. Our room was beautiful, quiet, and the staff were fantastic. We were traveling with a 14-month old and everyone was helpful and accommodating. The breakfast team even set up a table with a high-chair and served our little guy a bowl of yogurt each morning. The hotel also provided a french press and jar of ground coffee in the room. That little perk absolutely won me over.

One of our favourite stays along the garden root. The view looks like a painting, food is remarkable, stuff and owner were super friendly and helpful. Worth every penny!

Top notch restaurant serving great food with great service and venue. They should double their prices to (a) make it easier to make a booking (b) discourage parents bringing their winging children who are obviously bored out of their minds while their parents enjoy a lovely meal. The menu was superb choices and the staff were excellent 👌

Was meant to be the pinnacle of our trip but ended up being the worst night of our two weeks travelling in SA. Can't fault the meal itself and the location was lovely, the lodges I thought held serious potential. Unfortunately for the entire night we were kept awake with what sounded like mice scrambling across the inside of the roof as well as up and down the walls. I appreciate it's a remote location however when advertising and charging boutique prices there's a minimum standard that's expected, this definitely feel below par. The lady on reception the following morning (not manned overnight) was sympathetic and said that the manager/owner would speak to us at breakfast, indeed he did. He asked us where we were from and if we were staying another night. Stated that it must be bats and sighed as he told us he would have to lift some of the roof to look (thanks for letting us know). Anyway no apologies or acknowledgement of the sleepless night. I did note orange expansion foam hardened around all the outside walls and caught on shurbs outside our lodge that would suggest that recent visitors had. Flagged the same issue in recent times. Definitely won't be back sadly

I cannot believe this team and how they cater for weddings. We had our own wedding there 6 years ago and were blown away by the place. We attended a second wedding there this past weekend subsequent to our wedding and was once again blown away by the level of service provided by Grant, Alex and the whole team just as with our own wedding the speeches went on longer than anticipated by about an hour, yet 140 meals were still delivered to perfection. My steak medium well and my wife’s medium rare were spot on. It was delivered with out the usual mix ups of who ordered what and all on the table with in about 15-20 mins of the speeches finishing. The setting decor and dance floor area were magnificent. I highly highly recommend Emily moon for either just a meal or a full blown function. The bedrooms are also well appointed with picturesque views over the river. 10/10 guys 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

We loved our stay at Emily Moon! We were so happy with the package we booked- especially with the included AMAZING meals (breakfast and dinner). The property is quiet, clean and beautiful. The decor is eclectic and yet incredibly tasteful. Grant, the GM, came and gave us excellent recommendations every day. Emily’s is a little peace of paradise.

We visit Emily's regularly when in Plett. As a vegetarian, I've found the menu limiting in the past but our recent trip saw some tasty additions for us non-meat eaters! Much appreciated - thanks! As always the location is stunning overlooking the lazy river and the staff are accommodating and attentive. If time permits, arrive early enough to have a drink poolside, by the fire, or outside overlooking the meandering water. Not to be missed for those visiting, or living in the area. Thanks again!

I loved the place! The lodges are not just very beautiful you also have an amazing view on the river from there. Sitting on the porch with a glass of wine or enjoying yourself in the bathtub or relaxing on the pool or having a massage in your room or going for a kayak tour, all of this kind of activities make your stay even more lovely. The breakfast and also the dinner is awesome. 😊 Really enjoyed the place and would love to come back some day.

This place is just fantastic. My partner and I spend two nights at Emily Moon last week and we completely loved it. The rooms are neat, spacious and comfortable, the location is breathtaking, the staff is amazing and the food experience was the best! Very good food for a fair price. It’s even more beautiful here than the photos show! Our visit was amazing from start to finish. Friday nights are such a vibe at the pizza lounge and the fancier main restaurant was a treat. All the staff are so friendly and professional, and the owners really make it clear what a genuine family run place this is. A weekend is much too short!

This is one of my favorite stays in South Africa! This place is magical. The room is just beautiful. Big, clean, comfortable bad. The shower is huge and the tab facing the view is just breathtaking. The service is implacable. The food was so good that we decided to eat dinner there in our both night staying there. Hopefully I can come back again soon.

Emily Moon is a piece of heaven on Earth for me. It is so unique and romantic and the food at the restaurant is sublime. The rooms are elegantly furnished with alluring photos to compliment the decor. The staff are friendly, kind and efficiently helpful. I wish I could live there forever. Beautiful view, food was amazing! Service was friendly! The design was rustic, but in a chic homey style. Would happily go back!! We had a drink looking over the River and then went inside for a delicious meal! I would suggest booking to avoid disappointment. Food is a little pricey compared to regular restaurants but well worth the experience.

Emily Moon was an absolutely amazing experience - we stayed for 3 nights during our honeymoon in one of their superior luxury suits. The room had everything you would want with amazing privacy and views. We really felt welcomed and the owners stopped by on a number of occasions including at breakfast and dinner to give personal tips and recommendations for the local area and restaurants, which was a really nice and personal touch. The food and drinks at Emily’s restaurant and pizza bar were outstanding. Overall we would definitely recommend Emily Moon and look forward to staying again in the future.

We stayed at the family suite, with a fantastic view of the river. Very spacious room with a great bath and a nice outdoor shower as an extra. Sad to be leaving, hope to come back!
