This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at... the most relaxing, peaceful view I have encountered. The inclusive bar in your room is so lovely to sit on your balcony and relax and unwind. The food was the most outstanding we have had (we are massive foodies) breakfasts were out of this world. Highly highly recommended...

We went for dinner at Tsala while staying at Hunter’s CountryHouse next door, hence I can only comment about the restaurant: INCREDIBLE!! Everything from the atmosphere, the decorations, the staff, the small welcome dishes and surprises, and the food was amazing. We had scallops as a starter, followed by line fish and ribeye steak. All the single ingredients of all the dishes were incredible. My real compliments to the chefs and to all the staff!!!

Wow - the team at Tsala truly blessed my wife and I on a special anniversary breakaway! They went out of their way to make our stay special with attention to valuable detail and surprises around every corner. Spectacular setting and setup!

Absolutely stunning! Pure paradise! Incredible views, luxurious tree top lodges. Polite, friendly staff- Lola & Megan in particular! They both made us feel like part of the family. We look forward to returning in the near future. Fantastic from start to finish!

A few minutes out of the busy vibrant Plett, there is a magical luxurious lodge. Staying in the most Serene forest, surrounded by green & beauty, the most hospitable most professional and loving team. The facilities, the amazing food in the Tsala restaurant (conducted by Chef Etienne and his team) was a mouth watering experience. The amenities and the abundance was remarkable. Thank you Tsala team for making an unforgettable stay for us

Tsala Treetop Lodge was an amazingly magical place. Tucked away from every day life, it offered a welcome respite to guests. Food, service, accommodations were all top notch. There's no denying the effort put into making this destination, a place that will be enjoyed. Every inch of this resort, as well as its staff, is excellent.

What a place to stay. The entrance is beautiful and blends into the surrounding forest. Bubbles on arrival is a lovely touch. The walk along the boardwalks to and from your private villa / suite is enchanting. The room itself is incredible, nestled in the treetops with views from your private balcony over the trees in the nearby valley. The hotel feels completely secluded. The in room bar is very well stocked and the log burner is very cosy. The huge bath is also great and the private pool is lovely but unheated. The level of service from the staff is phenomenal and quite literally nothing was too much for them to sort out for us. Dinner in all three on-site restaurants was delicious and again the service was fantastic, and friendly. The spa facilities in your room were also easy to organise and excellent. Also very convenient for the Knysna Elephant Park. A great place for a really special occasion - very memorable.

Be warned... they don't heat the private plunge pools. Our pool was freezing cold -- we would not have stayed here if we knew the pool was cold. Such a waste !! During months (April to Sept), it is NOT worth staying here... The Old Rectory nearby is wonderful and half the price.

I’ve been a bit liberal in the past in giving places I like 5 stars, which does Tsala Treetops a disservice because based on that they deserve at least a 6! The entire experience was sublime. Every detail thought though and curated with care. The accommodation was my ideal of tasteful comfortable luxury without being ostentatious... (no excessive volume, which seems for some strange reason to signify opulence in SA & no bad art :-)), beautiful fabrics, harmonious decor, abundant treats. Spaces blend into forest and garden, none trying to dominate. the communal areas and dining are similarly balanced. Everyone we engaged with from the garden to the front desk was warm, engaging, proud and authentic. Getting professionalism and genuineness together in this way is rare. Our dinner was excellent, Extremely grateful for the chance opportunity to stay

A piece of paradise along the Garden Route! The rooms were always clean and little tokens of appreciation left by the staff, the views were beautiful and made you feel as if you were in the middle of the forest, the breakfast was delicious (my fiancé had his best Eggs Benedict ever), the dinner was also a culinary experience (including vegetarian/vegan options; we also found it much better than Zinzi) and the staff was always extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. We were sad to leave and would always come back if the possibility arises!

One of the most unique settings we have experienced. Beautiful rooms nestled above and amongst the trees and tree tops with gorgeous views. Serenity abounds. Friendly, helpful, efficient staff. Wonderful food. Great gymnasium and yoga room. We will return to this piece of heaven.. thats for sure.

We only went to the restaurant, so this review only pertains to that. . It was excellent in every way. Decor, ambieance, service, food and staff were all exceptional.

They had ongoing construction work on the lodge ground the whole morning which was really loud and annoying to hear from our room/terrace, not what you exoect when you book such a remote and exclusive location; manager didn´t offer any help with it

Good location, but were woken up at 01h00 with loud music on our second night. Manager didn't offer proper explanation or excuse. Not what I expect from such an exclusive and pricey establishment.

Tsala made my 21st birthday so special! Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to spoil me with complimentary bubbles, a meze platter, a gluten free vegan birthday cake, and even a reed diffuser gift! I am so grateful for the immersive forest experience with them, one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

There is not enough words to describe this place. Staff was off the charts friendly and helpful. Food was out of the books. Our room was on another level. They give attention to the smaller details you wont expect but you like a lot. We were here on honeymoon for 2 nights at that was not enough. Can not say enough. Just go there and find out for your self.
