Lots of rare and unique bikes. Really cool guy who explained us a lot about the history of the bikes and the place. You definitely should visit if you are in Knynsa, even if you aren’t a bike guy/girl 😀

A must visit for any motorcycle enthusiast, see the last KTM RC8, Wade Young’s Roof of Africa winning bike and Noraly’s Savanna from Itchyboots, possibly the most famous Honda in the World.

Chanced upon this amazingly restored place on our way to Knysna and Plettensburg. Was surprised to see it at this quaint and peaceful holiday destination of Knysna. Just saw a board and i was like i need to be here. Left my wife shopping while i toured this place in detail. These people are curating it bike by bike. Their tally is growing with each passing day. This is the place meant for bike lovers and these guys cherish sharing each and every detail. Right from as soon as you enter, where there is a map of there Pan African Continent biking adventure starting from Egypt down South to indigeneously modified bikes. And the best part these guys enjoy indulging in discussions ranging from about these bikes to your travel experience in South Africa.

We loved the motorcycle room. The Yamaha XS 850 took me back. I had one in my youth. Fond memories.

Brilliant. If motorbikes are in your blood or were part of your life, or part of a relatives life, or if you just want to visit a man cave. Okay, covered everybody. Then you MUST visit. R100 per adult!

What a gem in the town of Knysna! Over 150 motorcycles restored and showcased in a warehouse on Thesen Island. And "Savannah" of Itchy Boots fame's trusty Honda has arrived in her new home. We were so excited to see her after watching the final stage of the Kalahari Rally on YouTube the night before. The Motorcycle Room is definitely worth a visit - Norman has so much knowledge about the bikes.

Very cool. Great to see all the motorbikes they have. Nice guys and they answer all your questions and have always the time to talk a little. It was just amazing to be there. If you are addict to motorbikes you have to visit it. It was a big pleasure for my girlfriend and me. Tamara and Bastian from Switzerland.

The Motorcycle Room is closed on Sundays despite all platforms showing that they are open - very disappointing after a drive from George

I could hang around here for hours. If you're a motorcycle lover, it's worth every penny and every second. So much to see and drool over. Also allowed to take pics. A bathroom inside the showroom is a bonus. Plenty of parking outside and friendly reception. I can't remember how much the entry fee was but I can say as a motorcycle lover, I didn't mind it but my 2 companions who aren't into motorcycles felt it was steep. Overall, I'll go again and alone this time so I'm not rushed

Such an amazing experience! All bikes are kept original as arrived, not restored and keep their othenticity, and bikes that are one of a kind and super rare. Norman (the person in charge), provides great background on the bikes and stories of them that make you appreciate seeing them. Definitely recommend this as a stop off for a reasonable price as well

A must visit for all adventures and motorcycle enthusiasts, so glad i went and the people that are here are very helpful and all the motorcycles have a story to tell and a history. One of the bikes is from a very fames you tube vlogger from the Netherlands Itchy Boots and i think its a real honor to have her bike here in South Africa .

  • 5/5 Hedi G. 4 months ago on Google
We had an absolute blast looking at all the motorbikes and reading the stories attached to them. This is a private collection of over 150 bikes and just amazed me.

If you enjoy your motorbikes this is a “must do” in Knysna. A wide collection of bikes that will take you back down a happy memory lane. The presentation is excellent. Norman was hosting and was an absolute pleasure to meet and listen to. He has a fantastic knowledge of the bikes and also the history of Knysna and South Africa. Will visit again.

is not a real museum... is more like a nice collection of motorbike, quit expensive for what it is. There are different kind of motorbikes but nothing precious or important and the explanation is very basic (model/year). Very nice is the space due the collection is set up at the 3rd floor of a parking... is quit original.

Great place if you have any interest in older motorcycles. Not the usual classics but ones the owner has found interesting and collected over the years, so expect many smaller machines from the 80s plus lots of older KTMs. Over all a great place to spend a rainy afternoon 👍
