I've been many times, each time enjoying the calm that comes from such a beautiful natural environment with breathtaking views. There are paths along the Eastern Head that allow for views north towards the city and all the way around the the east, to the rocky shores down below. Some parts of the walk can be a little tricky, older people may need to take their time or opt out. Bring a camera to take photos, and there is secure parking looked after by attendants.

One of my favorite view points. You get to see the ocean and place from where the lagoon has actually formed. Must visit place.

I have been born in the Eastern Cape and was fairly familiar with the local neighbouring towns. Knysna is one of those towns that I frequently visited without expectations. My wife is from the Western Cape and wanted to see more of the Eastern Cape. The perfect opportunity arose when we had to choose a Honeymoon destination. we decided to be stationed in George, with its spectacular green habitat, and then visited the nearby places from there. The first day we decided on Knysna but was not so convinced until we saw the Board showing Knysna Heads. In the back of my mind I recalled my mother saying to me that it was something to behold. On our arrival at the HEADS lookout. we were greeted by the breathtakingly beautiful scenery. I always rave about the Middle East, but when i saw what was in my own backyard i was humbled by my ignorance of my own Country. I couldnt take enough pics and filled two memory cards with pics on my Nikon. We are expecting our first born next year, but soon afterwards we will return to the most beautiful part of this magnificent Land.

Probably one of the most spectacular view points of the Indian ocean. Photographers dream up here. One can sit for hours just watching the ocean crashing into the rock formations on the coast line. The different shades of blue are mesmerising and stunning. The entrance into the Knysna heads from the ocean is one of the most dangerous inlets. With dangerous under currents.

Wonderful Landscape. The entrance of the bay. Mixed with the natural beauty, many mansions take advantage of the heights. A typical Knysna View.

There are few things in life that make me aware of the worlds greater purpose...but the view from Knysna Head was one of them! Looking over the scenery, it feels like the entire planet comes to a head beneath you in all its breathtaking glory! Sometimes the wonders of the world are right on your doorstop and as a South African, I think that we should be more appreciative of the treasures we hold in our own backyard. Not a place I ever knew about, and now it is one I shall never forget.

The view is spectacular! You see where the ocean and the lake meet (the mouth). The water is crystal clear and mesmerizing. Definitely worth the trip to see.

So clean . Good for children to see the rock pools and for collecting shell's etc. Also for diving. There is a wreck there that you can dive to.
