Hidden gem in Knysna! Various short trails, great viewing point, very clean and well kept, various benches with some picnic areas.

Quaint little reserve. Very small with about 2km worth of trails. Lots of ticks in the area, be sure to inspect your dog thoroughly if you decide to take them for a walk here.

Our native carnivorous plants are really something special 💚💚. Here are two Sundew species found in Pledge - the taller stemmed 𝘋𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘢 with flowers, and the undescribed Drosera sp. Knysna which is flattened against the ground with tall flower stalk raised far away from the leaves. Notice the sticky mucilage drops secreted from the leaves which lure, trap and dissolve their tiny prey items! 🦟🐜🪰 One can understand where the common name of Sundew comes from. Spot them in wetter pockets along the Fynbos, Cape Ash and Protea trails ☺️ #droseraceae #visitpledgenature #pledgenaturereserve #visitknysna #gardenroute #fynbostrails

What a magical little forest walk in the middle of Knysna. Perfect for kids and I would suggest you pack a small picnic to enjoy one of the benches with a view from the top. We did almost all the paths in about an hour, so really not difficult. Easy and fun walk and only R 20 p/p.

It’s grounds were in fairly good condition but some parts needed trimming back. A wonderful community project that allows some relief from town. Take bug spray because the ticks are BAD!

Nice short hike with a beautiful view of the Knysna Estuary. It's not really stroller friendly, especially when getting closer to the top. If you're going with a baby, rather make use of a kangaroo pouch or just carry them in your arms.

Lovely walk tucked away in the centre of Knysna. Just a few steps in and all the sounds of the busy town melt away to the sounds of nature and birds. Beautiful view from the view pont at the top. Entrance is only R20 person and your permit number is needed to open the gate.

It is a well maintained nature reserve. Entrance in the middle of the town. Great for walking and picnics. Stunning indigenous plants. Lovely view over Knysna and Estuary.

Really beautiful nature reserve. Small yet breathtaking with amazing trails and cute quiet spots hidden on the trails to sit down and soak in the nature. The view point gives you a great outlook on the town and the knysna heads too. Devasted by the 2017 fire it has come back with a remarkable recovery through the hard work of volunteers. Simply stunning and entry isn't expensive. One for the books.... and if you find yourself there on a Wednesday morning be sure to meet up with Nanna and the team and find out how you can help with removing alien trees.

Most beautiful, best kept secret in the middle of Knysna town. A green lung if you will. A lovely space in nature to take a pleasant walk. Safe and clean. Tickets can be purchased at Polvo, Tourism or Wayside Inn for a nominal fee. Highly recommended!!

Park in the centre of the town, maybe private owned as to enter you need to pay 20 rand! Was a rainy day and you can easily do the path in an hour! Some interesting flowers on the way!

The hidden gem right in the centre of Knysna. Amazing work done to bring back the little nature reserve after the fires. Easy walks through the little forest lead you up to the most magnificent views. You can't believe that you are in the centre of town.

This truly is a hidden gem in the middle of Knysna. The reserve is absolutely gorgeous and the hike is short, yet relaxing and beautiful. Reserve does need more signage to find it easily as we drove past it the first time.

Lovely hiking location. Easy climb, and most areas are under shade from the trees.
