Tourist attraction

πŸ‘πŸ‘ An absolutely incredible spot. Highest point in the area. A lil bit rough to get up to the top, you'd definitely need a 4x4 or be willing to take the road VERY slowly. We went for sunrise and were the only people up there. Definitely worth visiting Valley of Ferns (Dal van vaarings) while you visit... People often mention view, road, views,

Spitskop is situated between Knysna and Uniondale on the Port Alfred Pass. It's the highest accessible point on the pass and is 918m above sea level. From here you can see the Knysna Heads and Plettenberg Bay in the distance. A 360Β° view of the beautiful surroundings.

Also a lovely drive from Knysna up to the viewpoint through the forest

A winding precipitous road takes you up to this viewpoint, but it is absolutely worth it as the views are spectacular. Another wonderful place to take a picnic lunch and enjoy the fynbos and the scenery

Stunning views everywhere ones looks, well worth the effort. Road getting here is a tad rough though, if you are in a normal car, drive slowly and you will be rewarded. Area is clean with dustbins, benches and a small picnic area.

This vantage point offers amazing views. Well worth the visit. Access road not really suited for vehicles with low road clearance.

This is a secluded gem just off the Prince Alfred Pass. The access road is quite rough, but worthwhile! The views are stunning, three hundred and sixty degrees, encompassing mountains, forests and coastline. There are no facilities.

It was breath-taking. The first time I went was just after the fires of 2016. Since then, the vegetation has recovered well and the mountains are once again green and the fynbos is once again blooming. It truly is a place where you can get lost and find your inner peace. You are also able to see the Knysna Heads and Robberg from here.

It was a clear day and the views were breathtaking. The road up to the viewpoint was in a dire state at the time but still worth the effort to get there.

Beautiful viewpoint, especially on a clear day, to see the mountains around.

What a view, a 360 degree view of hills and sea. A bit of a drive to get there but the outcome is Great! Take a breath and take it in - view and all ! Don’t leave rubbish behind and view Wild.

Amazing Viewpoint. There area not many places in the world where you can drive to the top of a mountain.

Breathtaking! Clear skies needed to take everything in. I did it with a frontwheel drive car. Careful though: steep at times.
