One can see very beautiful "big cats" such as serval, caracal, lion, leopard and cheetah. We expected to visit the rehabilitation facilities and how local employees/volunteers take care of wounded wild animals but this is unfortunately not possible. The concept is actually to exhibit big cats to raise money to finance the rehab center which is not open to public. Our guide was good.

Didn't expect to be able to see these animals so up close. A worth while experience.

Excellent tour with an informative and passionate guide. They do great work here - sheltering some animals temporarily while they recover and then releasing them when they're better, and looking after some animals permanently which can't be released for whatever reason. They need support to keep going which means visitors and donations.

We spontaneously stopped here and had a really great time. We were given a private tour of about an hour and a half by Mzizi since we were the only visitors in the afternoon. I didn't expect to get so close to the animals. However, it’s always ensured that visitors behave respectfully towards the animals. Mzizi was a superb guide who passionately and humorously shared his knowledge. Highly recommended!

Stunning .. once in a life time experience that we will repeat if we ever return to this area of the world, the genuine compassion and caring for these animals by everyone involved shines through, a real privilege to have stayed here in one of the lion cabins .. and a great evening meal and breakfast outside provided by Davidson (not forgetting his lovely wife) ..

Peaceful and beautiful place. There are wild cats and birds(including meerkats). The tour is an hour long on foot and the tour guides are knowledgeable. A very beautiful and peaceful place. If you love nature or the wild , this will definitely be for you

Had an amazing guide and would definitely recommend visiting. They have quite a variety but didn't really like that you get that up close in the animals personal space.

It is a brilliant institution that informs greatly and helps injured or bad-treated animals! I can highly recommend it. The wildcats are fantastic animals that are almost extinct. The guides are very well informed, friendly and should be supported! Many animals are released back into the wild if this is possible.

Super time. We had a private tour in winter. Guide was lovely. Its so good to see how They care for these animals. We even went in to Some cages to see them really close by. Do go there and help them preserve the animals.

Amazing whay they do to rehabilitate the animals. You enter the cages with the smaller cats, just not the Lion, leopard and cheetah. Our guide was super nice and knowledgeable and we truly enjoyed all he said.

My family enjoyed seeing all the animals and learning about them. For my American children, it was challenging for them to follow along and understand the accent since this was their first time in South Africa. We selected the EcoKids family challenge, but my kids were nervous about being quizzed and not understanding. That being said, it was a unique experience, especially going into a cage to feed the servals. We enjoyed seeing a wide variety of animals here too that we hadn't seen before.

We stayed in the manor house. It was clean and neat. The staff was friendly, but unfortunately the owner was very rude. He walked in and around house and entered it without permission. There was no privacy. He also yelled from outside the cabin where our friends were staying, telling them to shower quicker. He complained about the lights that were left on throughout night. Although the accommodation was great, it was an unpleasant experience overall.

Just a 20 minute trip out side of Plettenberg bay. It was a great experience. Very informative tour. You are able to get as close as possible to the animals without invading their space which I appreciated. The enclosures are huge and kept up very well. They do very good work in their rehabilitation section also. Worth a visit!

Amazing work being done here. We stayed in a lion Lodge and did full behind the scenes experience. Including feeding the animals! Good food. Friendly professional staff. Great ethics.

If you want to spot some wildcats in South Africa we can recommend coming here. You will only see animals which can’t live on their own in the wildness again. The other rescued animals are kept away from humans. For 260 ZAR you can book a tour where a guide tells you a lot about the animals and helps you spot the animals.

Epic experience close up with the cats unlike any other. Not a zoo experience of seeing them in cage which makes it unique. Better than other option in the area at a fair price (book online for better prices ) Guide very informative and sense of humour too. Friendly proactive staff who go out their way for customers, really refreshing

Love the experience! Animals are well taken care of, you get to see all the wild cats, white lion is impressive.. guide was knowledgeable, if you have 1h-1h30 Id definitely recommend to drop by

Very special place, definitely worth the trip. We were lucky enough to have a 1-hour guide to ourselves, so we experienced a very informative and personalised tour, spending more time at the enclosures that we found the most interesting. That animals are very well taken care of, their habitats aren't small and the guides have extensive knowledge.

Very close up interactive experience with the cats

From small beginning to an amazing impact. This establishment funds the rehabilitation and permanent wildlife through the guided tours and sponsors. The permant wild life residents are there for various reasons: permanent injuries, saved from trafficking and not being about to be released in their natural habitat. They are all in fantastic health and though I'm not an animal whisperer they all seem happy. There is an on-line booking option with a 10% discount (Dec 2020). So now you have no excuse to not visit!

This is a great place to see the animal rescued as well as the resident birds and animal who will live thier lives here. It's a must to visit in the garden route as the cause, saving these animals is enough and they really need our support so for that alone, it's definitely worth a visit.
