Great location and the view is incredible. Staff is super friendly. Parking is a major issue so make sure you prepare for no spot or someone parking you in. Room is nice and well equipped. Only issue is that the rooms balcony’s are on top of each other with no patricians so you cant dare to walk around naked in your room or even enjoy special time with your partner with the windows and doors open as your neighbors can spy with very little effort

Was treated to a birthday dinner and I must say this was an out of the world experience. Its 5 star for a reason. They have amazing wine selections for wine lovers.

We had an incredible experience at Head Over Hills. The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was an intimate and personal feel. We especially enjoyed the wine tasting and got to pick out a bottle to enjoy with dinner. The food was also incredible. I would recommend to anyone looking for a truly unique, special experience.

This was one of our best vacation stays to date! The hotel is overlooking a view most people would hike to see. The rooms are comfortable with expansive balconies to enjoy being a part of nature. What made this hotel stand above the rest was the owners and team, Martin, Teresa, Webster, and Zizi, who all made the stay top notch. We started in the wine cellar with a private tasting with Martin, that recommended a variety of great selections, one of which we got a bottle for dinner. Dinner was spectacular as we enjoyed great food and a continuation of great wine. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime view, incredible wine selection, or just a luxury stay, I would highly recommend Head over Hills!

The Whale Suite had the best view in the world. We never left our room for two days. Webster could not do enough for us. The meals were absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful. We will come back

I attended for my special 80th birthday/family reunion dinner on Saturday 15th April 2023 together with two daughters who live in SA, my son who flew in from USA and my other daughter who flew in from New Zealand. My eldest daughter who lives in the vicinity spoke to members of staff telephonically and met with the manager, Sonali, to make arrangements this special event. She was promised white linen tablecloth/napkins, glass and candles and extra flowers. The extra flowers were beautiful but all other promises were not kept. We had a very plain wooden table. She were also assured that Webster would be looking after us for the evening. Webster, a lovely, charming and friendly man greeted us at the door. Thereafter we were attended by TC a very surly waiter. When I requested a bowl for my mussel shells, he just said "use your side plate" on which I had some of your delicious bread. Two cases of broken promises from an upmarket establishment was quite unacceptable. The food was excellent and all 6 of us enjoyed it very much. The location was second to none and simply quite spectacular.

Excellent spot. Did not disappoint. Staff were incredible and of course the view was spectacular. Rooms were great. Only down side was the bathroom was a bit outdated but pleasant overall. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic views of the Knysna Heads that could be enjoyed from the pool or our room. The wine selection is amazing and the food was awesome. The rain upset the idea of sunset cocktails so I will be back. 😊

Really beautiful spot however really really pricey for the size of the room and features. You're really just paying for the view. The staff were however wonderful and really warm and welcoming.

Most amazing views and fantastic staff! Swimming in the pool, sipping on a drink is a dream! Actual rooms are a little underwhelming for the price you pay. Still a really wonderful place to visit.
