At the reception we were welcomed with drink and pastries. Our suite was a dream, very large bathroom and bedroom with everything you need. The park is very beautiful and you are quickly in Knysna. The best part however is the breakfast: lots of choice of cheese, vegetables and fresh fruit plus pancakes and egg options. The staff is very open and friendly and has tips ready.

Beautiful manor, almost a 100 years old with antique furniture. Loved the wooden floors and bathroom decor.

We had an excellent stay at Parkes Manor and simply love the place. Incredible hospitality, wonderful hosts, great staff, perfectly located, enjoyed the pool, the garden, sitting outside on the balcony and the porch. Had a wonderful dinner.... and of course we love the historic house with it's charme and atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back.... and staying longer next time.

Very beautiful property with a very humble and polite staff. This place lies at heart of Knysna, overlooking a very beautiful view. I had a pleasant stay where the staff went an extra step to make our trip and stay memorable.

What an amazing stay, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were awsome, so friendly, warm and accommodating. We really felt at home. The manager recommended great places to see and eat. Will definitely go back.

We have been there for 3 nights. The hotel and rooms are very clean with a beautiful ambience and remarkable perfection to detail. In the evenings candle lights in the lobby, bar and terrace as well as open fire in the lounge. You don't find plastic anywhere but beautiful porcelain. Breakfast is served with nice view on the water on tables with white table cloth. Breakfast with fresh fruit, joghurt, cereal, etc is complimented with freshly cooked hot dishes served on prewarmed plates. Not to forget the very friendly personnel. We can only give 5 stars in each discipline. (First time ever)

What a magical place! Rooms are beautiful and the bathrooms have all the amenities you need. The is a wide selection of items to eat for breakfast and the staff go out of their way to make your stay relaxing. The kids loved the pool. The gardens are beautifully manicured.

A spectacular Manor House with impeccable service provided by a small, personable team of passionate hospitality staff who seem to add a personal touch to everything they delivered during our stay. We had booked out the entire Manor house for our intimate wedding celebration of 10 guests and the Parkes Manor team went above and beyond to make this one of the most special experiences we have ever had by looking after our guests, supporting where they could with small details and execution of things the bride had not thought of. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms have recently been beautifully renovated, making bath/shower time an absolute treat. The garden is just as wonderful, offering ample space for having some quiet time or enjoying the outdoors of the property. Breakfast was another highlight and our guests were incredibly impressed with the overall experience. Highly recommended. We cannot thank you enough.

The first time here, only for one day, but a wonderful stay. Nice rooms, tasteful furnished, fittingly to the house. Service excellent. We got a warm welcome. We can completly suggest that house.

This place is lovely! The rooms are huge, the bathrooms are just right. The staff were soo accommodating, they served us breakfast after 12 when we arrived back from a race. The gardens look good and there are amazing views of the the lagoon. Very relaxed atmosphere, I would stay again anyday. I recomend this place!

Wonderful place to stay. Very calming, can relax in the gardens with a drink while reading a magazine. Lovely view of the lagoon - great view from breakfast room and front bedrooms. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating - even served us breakfast at lunch time after we ran the knysna half marathon! Definitely going to stay here again!

Best stay ever even our no 1 destination. Most accommodating after we had to change booking. Warm welcome and most amazing room with a view and best food spread even though we were the only guests. You deserve 10 stars

The loveliest little B&B in town! The staff were so welcoming (drinks and home made hot cross buns on arrival), and thought of everything, including Easter chocolate! The view of the lagoon was great and the rooms were lovely and quaint
