I enjoyed a good cup of coffee and delicious avo toast at the Lofts. We sat outside by the lagoon and it was so calm and peaceful.

We just went for breakfast at their restaurant the nest. Very health conscious menu good selection Service was excellent.

We stayed here for one night. One of the best hotels we had on our Garden Route trip. Go for the T1 Room and enjoy the great lagoon sunset views. Very friendly staff and great bakery just next to the hotel. We also did a kayak trip in the afternoon as they have their own kayaks for hotel guests. Would loved to stay here longer.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Lofts Boutique Hotel in Knysna, South Africa. I was absolutely blown away by the level of service and attention to detail that I received from Allan and his team. The hotel is located in a great spot, right in the heart of Knysna. It's close to all the shops, restaurants, and bars, but it's also quiet and peaceful. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The staff at The Lofts are incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that I had a wonderful stay. Allan himself was especially attentive and accommodating. He took the time to learn about my interests and make recommendations for things to do in the area. I would highly recommend The Lofts Boutique Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing stay in Knysna. I would also like to make a special thank you to Allan and his team for making my stay so enjoyable.

I’m not sure how anyone can give a bad review to this place. It was a amazing experience. They helped us with everything. We thought we had lost one of our shawls. Ellen was able to find it cause we had left it in the dining area. They even couriered it to us in Cape Town.

Fabulous location, excellent breakfast, wonderful friendly staff. Close to excellent shops and restaurants. Great deals at the golf shop on Thesen Island. Cross the causeway to Knisner for access to the beautiful town and waterfront. Fully recommend this beautiful boutique hotel with views over the lagoon.

Honestly, this has to be the best place to stay in Kynsna. Incredible location on Thesen island with not only its own bar and restaurant, but right next door to IDP and plenty of other great food joints 50m walk away. No other place to watch the sunset. Special shout out to Allan who was so friendly and attentive in welcoming us and showing us around, as well as giving plenty of good recommendations.

We booked a three-night stay at The Lofts Boutique Hotel as part of a two-week trip to South Africa. The hotel is located on Thesen Island in Knysna, a truly beautiful part of the world. The hotel is set on the edge of the Knysna Estuary and offers stunning views of the water and the surrounding mountains. There were several things that really made The Lofts special for us: the location, the sunsets, and the amazing staff. As soon as we checked in, the warmth and welcome of the hotel team really shone through. Throughout our stay, every single member of staff we came into contact with was nothing short of amazing. They were so friendly, helpful, and genuine. The hotel offers a variety of rooms and suites to choose from, and we treated ourselves to a waterfront room with a balcony. The room was fabulous and really tastefully decorated. It featured everything you would expect from a 4-star hotel. However, the star of the show was the balcony. The view, especially as the sunsets, was really spectacular. The hotel also has a number of amenities, including a small swimming pool, a spa, a guest-only terrace with loungers, and a guest lounge area. You can also borrow canoes and head to the waters during your stay, they have thought of everything! We had breakfast included, and you get a voucher to spend in île de païn or Nest. Both were fantastic, but I preferred Nest as it was a bit calmer. The granola tart was fantastic. We also had dinner and cocktails in Nest Food Bar during our stay, which were sublime. I would 100% recommend The Lofts to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway in beautiful Knysna.

We had a lovely stay here. The room had a beautiful outlook over the lagoon. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful too. We tried both eateries downstairs (Nest and Ile de Pain). Both were nice. Ile de Pain was most definitely our favourite. Their food was very tasty. They had most incredible pastries and cakes too. Not to mention the friendliest staff.

Everything about this place is amazing, we felt really welcome when we arrived and our room was INCREDIBLE! Lots of people book boat rides to watch the sunset but if you are facing the lagoon from your room then I'd highly recommend watching it from your window, it has the best view! You can walk out to the lagoon for a swim and then come straight onto the deck for drinks and food. This was one of the most relaxing places I have ever stayed.

Just an absolutely unique and beautiful boutique hotel in a very special setting on Thesen Harbour Town

We had an absolutely amazing time at the lofts. We spontaneously booked two nights and then extended another because we loved it so much. The staff are trained and friendly to an extent I have rarely witnessed anywhere in the world. Especially Allan was amazing. His help in all regards no matter what, was priceless! He had great tips for food, leisure activities and relaxation. He was there when we needed him 👍❤️ The room had stunning views over the lake, was very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Overall we had an amazing time here and will definitely come back when we are around. We are very sad that we have to leave now.

Two lovely nights at the Lofts. Our room overlooked the lagoon so the views were very special. We were warmly greeted by Allan who was always on hand to provide helpful information or just for a good natured chat. Highly recommended.

Oh my word what a find! The decor and the vibe are outstanding. Up market and boutique but not pretentious. The people make the place exceptional. Try the Nest restaurant, fabulous food and excellent service. Josh and Lynsay really set the tone for a wonderful stay. Samuel was so considerate when helping us with our luggage.

The staff ate extremely helpful. During the day its like having a room in a busy shopping centre and at night its like being in a factory, with the constant drone of industrial air conditioning outside. They supply earplugs as standard. I would not return or recommend.

I HIGHLY recommend staying at the lofts if you are in Knysa. It was amazing and so cool. We absolutely loved our stay. It is perfect for a family.

The most beautiful setting, Bali feel inside with loads of amazing plants and outside the view of the lagoon is beautiful. Our room was amazing and they were really accommodating with our early check in, phenomenal breakfast using the breakfast voucher at il de pain- not to be missed!

I worked at the Lofts restaurant while on a holiday in Knysna. I got great service, delicious food and a personal heater (wonderful for the winter cold)! Would recommend 😌

If it wasnt for Ile de Pain restaurant's breakfast, I would have given The Lofts one star. You pay for a room and expect HOT shower water and at least the right round two-point plug for the hair dryer.....oh no

Great location close to the entrance of Thesen Island. Just around the corner from the well known île de païn bakery. Intimate lounge atmosphere that opens up onto an expansive deck with great views of the Knysna lagoon and waterfront complex. Service is excellent. Helpful and friendly. Food options are perfect for the location. Allow some time to relax and enjoy the views.

Great location with beautiful views. We loved our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are modern, spacious and bright. We woke up every morning to the most beautiful view with so much wildlife. You are also steps away from some great oyster bars and ocean odyssey for whale watching .. and don’t forget the cafe il de pain that you’ll get breakfast at each morning 😋

Staff very accomodating. Had 2 different rooms both facing the lagoon. Supurb? Food really good. Reception extremely helpful with bookings to restuatants, parking too, beds awsome. Recommend this. Oh. Modern chic! .

The best from all the hotels we have been to. Covid protocol followed. The atmosphere friendly staff and the stunning rooms with all comforts provided for. Staff went out of the way to accommodate us and beautiful cosy lounge to relax peaceful atmosphere

Lovely place to stay in Knysna. Great self catering apartments and great places to eat nearby, easy walking distance. Breakfast spot next door is definitely worth a visit.

We came here for sunset. This place was a perfect spot to watch the sun go down. Next time I visit this beautiful time I'm actually considering booking a stay here. Loved the view from here.

I enjoyed my stay at Lofts Boutique Hotel. The location of the lodge is amazing. It is directly by the sea. I enjoyed sitting at the porch with a glass of wine during sunset! Further the industrial, modern hotel style was something new and unique to me. kinda nice. The rooms are also very comfortable. Something I didn´t like. I was given a voucher for breakfast, which wasn´t enough to cover whole amount. Also the lunch I had at the place, was not a wow, it was okayisch.

Excellent service by the staff with a great view and clean rooms. The wifi is great and the bagels and milkshakes on the menu even better. Will definitely go back!

I had a truly wonderful time at The Lofts. Watching the sun setting, with a chilled Rose and their underpriced cheese platter was a highlight. It's currently going through a refurbishment and the room I booked reflected a much needed change. Taking the canoe out onto the lake and through the canals was special. Talking with the new manager there are more changes ahead, but please keep the chicken mayo sandwich on the menu... it's the best I've ever had.
