What started off as a booking I was looking very much forward to (NB! Payment was made in full by me only 3 days after receiving an invoice), turned out to be very disappointing and being threatened with a lawyer. I had asked for a refund of 1 night due plans of a trip changing, and it was agreed upon via whatsapp. After 6 weeks the refund had still not been done after numerous follow ups and no responses. After 2 months I have now had enough and and had asked for the director/owners contact details, and once I had asked for that, the Manager, Shane, has been putting the blame on me and saying that they are waiting for a group to arrive before my money can be refunded, and giving all kinds of excuses and threatening me saying that he will get their lawyer to contact me. This is absolutely ridiculous that after 2 months I still have not received a refund, and refund policy is refundable until 30 days before the booking (Booking is only for Oct 2022) and it was agreed upon over whatsapp communication.

We were greeted by the gardener (I know it was a bit late ) he asked us to fill in the breakfast menu which wasn't provided then back for a pen then no milk in the fridge. Breakfast was OK. Tiny towels and shower but it was affordable and the view was great . Parking our bakkie was a bit of a problem especially if there was more than one car.

Super friendly owner/operator who did everything to make our stay be all that it could! Nice and very good value B&B with a breakfast of your choice served at your own balcony overlooking Knysna's bay. Uber takes you everywhere in town for a few Rand if you're not keen on walking.

Rooms were nice, amazing views, but service was poor, we ordered breakfast for 8am, it eventually arrived at 8.45 (after we complained) and when it did come it was wrong . Pool was also dirty. My friends room was smelly, people above were noisy

Great scenery, great location, cozy rooms with lovely balcony. Also has a beautiful bathroom with great water pressure. But the rooms are freezing COLD when it’s cold out. The little panel heaters they have are not enough. I came here on a rainy day and they are 100% not prepared to accommodate guests in cold weather. Also the water here is YELLOW. Don’t care if they say it’s “mountain water”, yellow is not pure. It has mud, dirt, or they are just negligent to buy a nice R.O filter for their guests. They should think about getting an RO filter. If you’re fine with yellow water and cold rooms, then you can stay here. If it’s warm out you will be fine. The rooms are super nice, very modern, feature nice full kitchens with stovetop, microwave, utensils, plates, fridge etc. New PVC flooring, beautiful drapes, modern aesthetic and design. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. I’d give it 5 stars but the yellow water and cold dropped down to a 2.

First impressions great. Had noisy neighbours and yellow-brown bath water... Bedding was super soft. Duckegg colour scheme always a favourite. Thank you for the upgraded room.

We choose to stay here for our honeymoon from the beautiful photos and because of the room with a private jacuzzi. When we booked in Shane was unable to work the booking system (blamed it on loadshedding and the system not syncing, but we had booked a month in advance) he then offered us any room and we stated that we wanted the honeymoon room with jacuzzi as per our booking. We were shown the room and promised that the jacuzzi (which was dirty) would be cleaned straight away and went out as our room was still being cleaned. The next he promised again to have the jacuzzi cleaned and "would even throw in a bottle of champagne for our afternoon in the jacuzzi". When we left 5 days later the jacuzzi was still being drained. Our room did not have a key for the duration of our stay and we had to open it by pushing our door on a certain place on the door, while the car gate (next to our room) was unable to close due to the motor that was being repaired on the day we arrived. It was still broken when we left. The breakfast was a joke. A menu is sent to complete but not read at all, extra hard eggs are runny and not once did I get sausages. Toast is served with little blocks of margarine. It must have been instant coffee served in a plunger. I can see how the place was once great but the place has not been maintained and the hosts are full of promises that never happen.

We were not booked at Azure but upon inquiring instead of clarifying this guy confirmed our booking as well as the same studio as we remembered. He kept complaining of the load shedding but since we completely empathise with people having a tough time, as a professional you have to provide the service people are paying for instead of giving excuses like other people did throughout our tour. There were no bulbs in the bed side lamps, the refrigerator had used bottles, there was no hot water to bathe, utensils and kitchen were not maintained well, TV cable was not functioning, there was no light in the porch, and never mentioned the complimentary breakfast either. Even his POS machine wasn’t working and we had to pay in cash. Laid back unprofessional attitude and Ill maintained rooms. Can do much better than this.

Yes, the view is wonderful and yes, the owner offered us a 2 bedroom suite upon arrival. But the place is literally falling apart (Jan 2023). May have been nice under earlier management. Photos from that time paint a picture of a luxury accommodation. But don’t be fooled. Now it badly needs maintenance in all respects. The low light: When we returned from a daytime excursion, to our utter surprise they had put a full family of 4 in our suite’s second bedroom with no way to lock rooms. No explanation, no apologies, and the manager was nowhere to be found.

Amazing place, we just arrived and got upgraded to a better room with a nice view, highly recommended. Only the cold weather disturbance and not enough heat in the room

Don’t believe the photos shown. The place is very run down, a mere shadow of its past best. Manager was full of unfulfilled promises.

Azure house is absolutely amazing. Very beautiful and peaceful and the staff was very friendly. The manager, Shane, he's absolutely amazing, great host and he really went out of his way to assist and to make our stay great. I would definitely recommend this place. I literally traveled all the way from Bloemfontein and hopefully I'll visit again. 😊❤️

A place of beauty, comfort and serenity that has all the comforts of home added with a touch of elegance and total bliss with views money can never buy. The owners are called to such a business together with their outstanding and professional staff who are always at hand to attend to whatever needs one might have. Delicious breakfast and all round excellent service. That is why we made a booking to come back even before finishing up our stay. Azure House will leave you refreshed and rejuvenated and wishing you could never leave. Thanks Shane for great hospitality.
