A great place to stay if you're spending some time in Knysna, friendly hostess, Katrin, is very helpful & accomodating. They are, as everyone else, affected by loadshedding but there is a decent rechargeable light supplied & a gas hob. The unit is neat, modern & very clean, and the kitchen has everything necessary. Won't hestitate to come again.

This was our favorite bed and breakfast while driving the Garden Route! Located in a secluded area while still being really close to the main road to access all there is to do in Knysna and the surrounding area. Rooms are just a few months old and well designed and equipped (this place actually burned down in 2017 so the hosts have been running Badger’s for a while but the rooms are all new). Hosts are lovely and enthusiastic about giving recommendations. I highly recommend this b+b if you’re in the area.

Recommend for long stays! We stayed in 1 of the 2 apartments with a kitchen. The 2 apartments share a wall so you can sometimes hear the neighbors, but this didn’t bother us too much. Overall a very peaceful and woodsy environment. 5min drive into Knysna Central. Beautiful natural wood construction, with attention to detail everywhere you look. Long lasting hot water in shower (meets EU/North American expectations). Extremely clean with daily cleaning at no additional charge. Bed linens changed every 4-5 days. Katrin is a wonderful and welcoming hostess and her husband is an efficient handy-man! They have been in the hospitality business for 20+ years, you are in good hands! Competitive weekly rate and value for money. We were given the opportunity to stay in one of the rooms on the hill attached to the reception. The rooms are traditional South African style with beautiful circular thatched roofs. Rooms are quiet and private. Being at the top of the hill lends to dazzling views from the windows! We marveled at the beauty of the room! Pictures attached of both the apartment and room. Highly recommend!

Best hosts ever, best lodge ever so magical and they make a lovely breakfast eggs just how you love it 😁breath taking and magical.Best place we stayed at on honeymoon so so nice I have no complaints only compliments.My hubby even walked away with a plant 🙈World Class Service.

Badger's lodge is by far the most hospitable accomodation in the Garden Route. I recommend this accomodation as a central point for exploring Knysna and surrounds.

Lovely place tucked away in a forresty suburb to Knysna. The folks running the lodge are really nice people and gave us many good tips on things to do and places to see.

We had a great stay at the Badger‘s Lodge. The lodges are very comfortable and super clean. The estate is beautiful and quiet. Especially the pool area stands out. A big thanks to our super nice hosts Katrin and Joachim. We‘ll definitely come back!
