We’ve just spent a lovely weekend at Simola Hotel. Staff were friendly , they acknowledged our kids and I always love a child welcoming and friendly place! Our apartment was spotless , food was freshly prepared . Loved the croissant & homey banana bread at breakfast, also that they were halal friendly. Scenic views & serene mornings🌳! We’ll be back.

Nothing short of amazing...I am still in awe! The sunset when having dinner on 21 December 2022 in the restaurant was incredible. The service was spectacular and the food divine. Chef Laura and team are world-class. Definitely coming back!

Great course and good service, but the carts do not have GPS as you would expect from a golf course of this standard.

Great Hotel, great staff and services. They may need to seal the windows inside the rooms. Too much winds were coming inside the room and make it very cold Already reported but still the same

Fantastic service! They allowed us to watch the F1 in the beautiful bar overlooking the golf course! We have a great dinner. It is quite a drive to get to, but believe me, it is worth it

Simola, a place for everyone to enjoy. Not being golfers and staying at a golf resort, my friend and I weren't sure what to expect, but we were blown away by all the other activities and experiences on offer. The spectacular views from our room, the restaurants and even the spa were just wow! The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and all the food and wine was delicious. Our room was incredibly spacious and clean with everything you could need and more, including a BBQ on the deck for grilling. While we were there, we got to enjoy a spa treatment, go for a swim and visit the river where water activities like paddling and SUP were on offer. We'll definitely be back and who knows, next time I might even try out the golf course!

This place is stunning, will go again, great value for money and a golf course that will have you wantin more. Only complaint for me is that the hot pool is not hot but rather luke warmish.

Amazing place. Fantastic location, beautiful hotel suites and glorious sunsets. The place is child friendly with a play area. Special mention to Roxanne, the manager, for organising our suite for an engagement proposal (She said Yes!).

Absolutely stunning luxury property situated on a hilltop offering excellent views of the Knysna Town and Knysna Heads. It's a 5 star luxury property, safe, secured and offers good value for every penny spent. Guest suites are just excellent and the fire place in every room adds a charm during winters. Staff is courteous and helpful. Definitely recommended if you are in Knysna.

Very good spot to do a vacation, the rooms and breakfast is fantastic, I only had 1 problem I asked for a place to stay and they help me but my bank card was not working at the time so they say they can't give me the room so a slept in my van ,they must look at helping tour guides because most of the time the clients ask where they can stay on the GARDEN ROUTE then we always recommend Simola and some times we book or the clients book ,well i hope they have a look at that little problem

We were at the restaurant for New Years Eve and it we enjoyed a lot. The food was 5 star and super delicious. Staff very friendly and professional. We also had lunch the next day and it was also very delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Spectacular view from the restaurant and the bar. We will definitely come back. Absolutely recommending this place!

We had a lovely break here as a Family. Our room was amazing but the highlight was the view. We were well looked after and kids made great use of the outdoor pool.

Located in the hills above Knysna, the 5-star Simola Hotel Country Club & Spa boasts a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course and a restaurant with lagoon views. The rooms at the eco-friendly Simola Hotel, Country Club & Spa have free WiFi, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player and a stylish bathroom with amenities. Some rooms have panoramic views of the lagoon or forest and include a kitchen and a cosy lounge with a fireplace. With a bistro-style meanu, Lungalo Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner. Lunch and light meals are available at the golf club lounge. The Simola Spa features massages, face and body treatments. Guests can relax in the heated indoor pool or work out at the gym which overlooks the Knysna Heads and offers state-of-the-art equipment and personal trainers. The centre of Knysna is within 10 minutes' drive and Plettenberg Bay is 39 km away while George can be reached within 1 hour by car.

The rooms are great. The menu at the restaurant is lacking options, I never thought I'd eat a chicken schnitzel at a five-star hotel. One of the towels in my room had a slight odor coming from it and as far as bad experiences go that isn't all that bad. I'd come here again.

Excellent course that relies on its views. Poor service. Poor golf experience and not worth the money they command. Really needs an update and a fresh look.

So this review is off my mum and dad as they stayed here for about a month and me and my wife were up all most every second to third day. The rooms are beautiful and have everything you will need , from the gas πŸ”₯ to the kitchen, everything is provided and they refill your bottles of water every day . The all in one oven/microwave and top plats were a bit difficult to use and you were never too sure if u had the oven on, also the TV had an extremely bad picture while we were watching England vs New Zealand in the cricket, you could see other channels to on the same channel, also the staff would switch channels for no reason apart from that the rooms are beautiful. The balcony was nice and big with a gas braii too , the views were amazing from seeing the lagoon/heads to forest/golf course, you could see lots of birds from sugerbirds to Longtail and more. We did join them for breakfast πŸ₯ the views and breakfast area is lovery , the cold food selection of it is very nice but the hot selection side not so much a lot of overcooked food and dried out stuff , as it was in winter my parents wanted a hot plate but the machine that was used for it was never switch on during there stay and when asked about it the kitchen ladys just laughed and normally the whole kitchen staff would normally just be chatting to each other so clearly they need someone to manage them. In the first week my parents catch coivd so they had to isolate lucky they had that lovery room , they were told that breakfast πŸ₯ would be delivered in the mornings and sometimes it was and sometimes not. Overall from their experience it was decent just the staff seem to be unmonitored and dont really worry too much as they just didn't seem friendly enough and every time they ask something they seemed annoyed that u disturb them. But as said they still had a nice stay and have rebooked again.

Majestic views. Every hole on the golf course has majestic views. Extraordinarily built into the side of a mountain. Jack Nicklaus did a fantastic job. The view to the Knysna Heads are spectacular!

The simola hotel is one of the best hotels in the western Cape. This five(5) star hotel looks down on beautiful land and part of the ocean, there is varies activities you can keep yourself busy with, including a large inside and outside swimming pool and a gym with a spa. There is breakfast included and you can also enjoy a dine in, although that is paid separate. The staff are very friendly and helps 24/7. If you are looking for a luxury Hotel with modern features this hotel will satisfy you.

One in a million golf course, will definitely be back, only downside was we had to walk a fair distance to our balls as the fairways was wet and no access by golf cart... Other than that I would advise any golfer to play it atleast once

Magnificent views of Knysna, luxurious accomodation and picture book golf course. The service of all the staff was outstanding. They did whatever they could to make our stay a 5 star experience!

Excellent golf led hotel. Wonderful views over Knysna lagoon and towards the Indian Ocean in the distance. A few points : you need a buggy to play the course. Several big climbs if trying to walk. And a very long walk from the complex to the town or lagoon. Not advised. Highly recommended.
