So bring the kids and have a amazing holiday here

This on the beach restaurant offers a wide variety of food while ensuring an amazing view! Not smoker friendly. Dogs may sit below the deck, there are tables where they will serve you. Convenience shop is right next door for a few snacks to take to the beach.

The only way this restaurant has any good reviews must be because they are being paid to give it. This is by far, one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. Food - so average. Service - non-existent. And it feels so, so dirty. The only reason why this place is still open is because of the location. How can the owner take pride in this restaurant?! He obviously doesn’t care, because he still gets his money. Have some pride man!

Disappointed again. 3 out of the 3 things we wanted to eat were not available. Cant have a boerie roll because they do not have rolls. Cant have the breakfast because it's after 12 (not stated on the menu). Cant have ice-cream in a cup because they are out of cups. Service is horribly slow and dismissive even though there are less then 10% of tables occupied.

Worst service I have ever experienced. 5 waiters walked past us loudly talking and refusing to acknowledge our presence, even when we called for assistance. Simply wanted a soft serve as this, unfortunately, is the only place at the beach where one can order food. Give it a solid pass. Do not recommend.

Lunch was great. They can just work a bit more on client friendliness.

Look if you have a Resturant on the beach and you don't allow dogs (especially small well trained dogs) its rather depressing. The manager is completely off with the ferries as he thinks it illegal to have dogs... I just had lunch at Fancourt today and our dog was welcomed with open arms. It's time to change management or wake up🫡

Just love the rustic Beach restaurant. Basic facilities and Very nice friendly service. We just had waffles, ice coffee. It was a very hot day. We thought we were on a caribbean island. Bring your own wine. No alcohol licence.

The service was shockingly bad. We were at the restaurant on a busy day, but our orders were forgotten two times and it took two hours to receive our order in bits and pieces, we also did not receive cutlery or spices. Bottled beer took 45 minutes to arrive after every order. The food was good though.

Had a quick bite at this establishment over the weekend. The pizza was probably the best I ever had. This, together with the cold beer, good service and fantastic setting will definitely see me coming back again.

As usual we ordered the calamari salad and a good bottle of wine. The quality of the salad was the worst ever. My wife ordered an iced coffee as per menu. The waiter indicated that it is a misprint on the menu and that it is not available. As local residents we visit the restaurant at least once a week.

Restaurant situated on the beautiful beach which is connected to Brenton-on-sea Beach with a 5kms walking distance alongside. Very good for surfers and beach lovers. But should you decide to walk one direction just be prepared to return same way because once reaching the end of the Beach, it will take a 20kms drive for a vehicle to fetch you on the other side.

A prime example of a monopoly. They are the only restaurant/store in town, and they abuse that privelage as much as they possibly can. Their food is bang average, portions are small and they are expensive compared to competitors in Knysna and Sedgefield. The owners are rude and disrespectful and their store is overpriced. You'd be better off supporting a business with owners that actually put effort into accommodating you, rather than these bunch of leeches that talk to you like a dog whenever you do anything that don't comply to their standards and regulations

My 5 stars is for the location ,veiw ,the amazing Pink Gin & tonic and our Waiter (Nathan) the food was good(could be better ,especially the prawns, could be more juicier ) fish and chips was nice . but for me it was our waiters service delivery that made our experience memorable ,Nathan was professional & very pleasant ,and the ladies who welcomed us when we entered were so friendly. But the food could be better ,we from JHB so the veiw was amazinggggg . The Pink Gin and tonic was the best I've had . Thanks Nathan for you Fantastic and Magnificent Delivery service. Keep it up !

We love going there and yesterday we went for a platter for two. We were there 17h30 just to find it closed. What a disappointment as we drove all the way from Swartvei as it said it was open till eight. Please adjust your time to prevent such effort and disappointment. We then had to drive all the way back to Sedgefield to eat at Pilipili which was lovely

This must rate as the worst meal we have had in a very long time. We ordered one of the days specials - fish & calamari combo with chips, which was recommended by the waitress. Grossly overpriced and poorly cooked. Unfortunately we didn't ask her the price, which had we known it was R185 each we would have had a toasted sandwich. The fish was the tail end of a hake, overcooked and like leather. Unfortunately it is the only restaurant option available to eat while observing the magnificent beach at Buffels. There are plenty of much better choices with views elsewhere on the Garden Route. Next time, we go to Buffels we will take a picnic!

Was shocked when a senior staff member checked/searched female local workers handbags outside the building as they were leaving for home at close of business. Such an embarrassing experience. Definitely will not support them again

This is a prime location for a restaurant. It overlooks the beach and therefore has a great view to appreciate while you eat or drink something. I can only comment on the service and drinks as I didn't eat there. Service was friendly and prompt and the drink were quick to arrive.

Let's be honest... the only good thing about this restaurant is its view. The food is terribly average, verging on bad. At the same time the prices are ridiculous, even if it was good it would have been over priced. It's disappointing that the owners take advantage of being the only restaurant in town to offer dismal food to customers with little choice. Boo!

Shared a fish platter for two and it was not only well presented but plentiful and delicious. Staff are very friendly and the view is spectacular.

This restaurant used to have the best chips and now they are too big, undercooked and tasteless, apart from the old oil that they'd been fried in. How disappointing. Especially since the restaurant is on such a prime spot.

I would not recommend eating the fish here. Service is also very slow. At least the view is good.
