This is the main pier for large boat in Koh Samui. You would find the 29 lies traveling to Donsak Koh PangGan. They are called Seatran and Raja. It is a great job for sunset, and also you have a night, busy especially on Sundays. There are also some restaurants around like sushi places shops on the parallel apart to the main road.

Great pier easy access to wide variety of boats, boats have a lot of seating and space both indoors and upstairs which would be outdoors. Can get a bit hot outside but inside is nicely air conditioned, bathrooms and shops also available in many of the ferries. Loads of taxis both private and shared available just outside the pier ready to take you where you need to be.

Seatran ferries leave from this pier terminal. But it is a pretty beautiful Pier to spend time, have some Japanese food and just chill.

Nice beach to walk during sunset. The beach is very wide. With a long walk way. Have some nice restaurants there. Try Krua Savoey Samui, at the corner. It's such a great place for lunch and dinner with beach view.

It's the island's primary ferry port. Various routes connecting Bangkok, Krabi, Donsak and Phuket. Convenient. I particularly like the seafood stalls around the pier with fresh catch of the day.

Good pier with goos communication. From this pier you can travel around all islands near Samui. You can buy tickets online or on pier.

Nathon Pier can be a very busy place so take note of which pier you are departing from as there are 2. One is for quick Catamarans and speed boats and the other is for the SEATRAN SHIP

We arrived on this pier in Koh Samui from Krabi and it the main pier on the island the ferry it was big and had plenty of seating available it had also restaurant inside and also massagist if someone suits a massage. The trip it took around 1h:30 minutes and actually went fast, the ferry had great views also and available seating on the top, a bit expensive to be honest but the unique way to get to Samui.

Good service! Exact departure and arrival. Those who tend to get seasick should take medicine at the wrong weather because the sea is wavy.

Seatran ferry is faster and cleaner with AC as compared to rajaferry, same prices. Book online to avoid queue if you are going by car.

No beach here, but the promenade provides for a nice walk with a few people sat at stalls selling their freshly caught fish. Quite a few little fishing boats moured here. One of the Piers is the departure point for the ferry, which crosses to the mainland, Surat Thani. The other Pier has several day trip boats and a large barge used to transport sand.

Book your boat ride to the nearby islands of Koh Tao, Koh Pang Na and the mainland at Surat Thani. They also do routes to the far south to places like Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi and Krabi and Phuket. For very reasonable price. I believe the arrival times on their route schedule includes the time of van transfer because our actual boat ride was pretty short.

Very, very well organised. Also, the ferries were very frequent, and the staff (including the lady at the ticket counter) were very helpful. If you are towards the pier and staying on the other side of the island, this place always has some transport available. It's a bit far (almost 35 mins from Chaweng and Lamai) from where most of the resort and hotels are (including Bofut, which takes about 20-25 mins). A tuktuk takes about 100 Baht from the pier to Chaweng/ Lamai. But while coming from the other side, it practically depends on your luck. The fare from Lamai or Chaweng to the Pier could be anything from 200- 500 (negotiate well). Baht, depending on the time of the day and availability of transport. This is the main pier that connects the mainland (Surat Thani) and Koh Samui. If you are flying from the Surat Thani airport (or flying in..) buy the ticket from the airport or Nathon Pier (its bus plus ferry - about 400 Baht). One issue at the pier: there are no food stalls or anything. So if you have to wait, then it's a bit of trouble. Bit ferries are very frequent, so usually, the waiting time is not that much at all. Last but not least, like everywhere on the island, Nathon Pier is very scenic and beautiful.

There are many food trolleys and vendors that offer fresh foods. They also have seats and table available. The prices are reasonable as local. The vendors are open from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. highly recommended. My favorite one is Crepes, of course.

Is a nice easy accessible pier. Seatran ferry arrives at this pier and the ticket system is good. For tourists with luggage recommendation is to buy tickets before hand to avoid the busy que for the ticket. It is not a long walk for the ferry too. Sunset view from around the pier is lovely.

Seatran, on time service! Great way to take your car to the island. 1.5hrs on the ferry, not a bad experience. Food and drinks on-board, fairly clean and comfy seating area. Recommended!

Very quiet, not sure it's fully open. Our boat was booked from this pier but upon arrival the company took us via car to Mae Nam pier for departure to Koh Samui.

Servicing koh samui island to Surat Thani…about 2weeks ago we showed up at the port at the 7am in the morning with our car as we couldn’t book online due to not having some type of membership account, and being there early we hoped we didn’t have to wait very long on the queue. We managed to board the ferry only 5hours after a which is a pretty big inconvenience. It could have been an unlucky day for us but no one tells you what’s going on. The positive thing is that there is toilet which you can use for free. Price for car transfer and driver is 610 bhat one way any other extra passenger is 190 bhat person.

I have used both piers. This one is the best of all. No waiting time, very well organized service. Three transit time between mainland and kho Samui was about 1h20. You can even stay in your car. There is even a shop on the boat.

😐 After rainy season, this waterfall is one of Koh Samui's larger waterfalls we have seen. It's very accessible and only a couple minute walk to access the waterfall from the road. However when you are walking into the waterfall, watch for the small trail on the left hand side that goes up, this wi...
