Sad state of affairs. I booked a trip there with a longboat - it's a beautiful island with a clean ocean, but unfortunately, the beach is covered in tourists, litter, and a lot of very thirsty pigs and stray dogs. Our tour guide was an absolute sweetheart, but nothing can really disguise what seemed to me a proper dystopian tourist trap. The pigs are clearly overpopulated, rely on hoardes of tourists to feed them, and are seen as a means to attract money. The only beach bar there needs serious patching up, and the toilets are a no-go. Wouldn't do it again. Hope they can invest in proper housing/care for the pigs and clean it up.

Awesome atmosphere on pig island, for the only bar on the island the beers and food are really cheap and ice cold. They pigs wander around you while relaxing on bannana chairs or swimming in the water. I will 100% visit this place again.

Otherwise known as Pig Island for the 40+ pigs that roam here. You can buy pig food (and puppy food for the many puppies and dogs too). There is a surprisingly large menu to eat and snack on. There are also an assortment of beverages. There is some water toys as well. It is worth a couple of hours to visit here.

Small Island with shallow calm water and white fine Sandy beach. Prices are reasonable (Beer THB100,-) Very dirty and not well maintained, depending on what you pay it’s not the wow trip. Nothing to do there besides relaxing and watching some pigs (2 in Total) Jet Ski THB 2000,- 20min

Actually quite gross. Novelty of the pigs wears off quick and then you’re left with their urine and poop scent lingering in the heat. Wet sand is urine. Poop everywhere. Squealing fighting pigs. Walk through a manure slurry to the disgusting toilets. A few steps away is a mountain of trash burning. Makeshift restaurant is nothing more than a cash grab for the “snorkel boats” Typical Thai tourism. The locals are doing a great job of destroying what could be an incredible tropical island. Exploitation at its finest.

Beautiful beach. Funny pigs. Very busy. Still enjoyed it. Come early to avoid the crowds.

Unfortunately, this is a very blatant tourist trap. It's actually a pig farm (they aren't wild) with an overpriced bar and nothing to do except buy drinks or food for the pigs. Our tour stopped here for 2 hours, far longer than you need to see a lifetime's worth of pigs. Most of the pigs are nice enough, but a few aren't and will bite hard enough to draw blood if you're holding food. The toilets are the worst I saw in our entire trip to Thailand, and if you stray round the island a bit you'll see mountains of garbage along the shore. At least you'll get some nice pics for instagram. And maybe a 200thb coconut drink.

ALOT of pigs, and puppies - Food is purchasable from the bar but be careful as the pigs can be quite aggressive as they fight for the food. Well worth the visit

The only restaurant we saw on Pig Island so the prices are a bit higher than usual. I would recommend going here early because by lunch there are alot of people here. Plenty of small and big pigs, and dogs to pet, which means alot of poop in the sand also. A place to take some nice pictures for the holiday, but the restaurant is more for drinks than food.

the beach here is beautiful. They do food and drinks and you can buy pig food and dog food . They have toilets too . everyone buys the pigs food and don't see many buy dogs food so please buy the dogs food if you go and feed them away from the pigs as they take there food

Located on Pig Island. Can be very busy but plenty of pigs and dogs to feed if you want. Bar is just a small hut selling drinks. You can hire jet skis next door.

We were on the piggy island tour! Fantastic place and we’re lucky enough to have a few hours here to enjoy the food, beer, pigs and dogs.

This is the bar on Madsum Island (pig island) and it offers a great selection of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). You WILL need cash, and the lines are manic and all over the place so just pick a line and go with it - they get through everyone very quickly. You can buy pig and dog food to buy both. The young coconuts were delicious to drink and add to the vibe of the island. Plenty of chairs and tables and right on the water. Feeding the pigs was fun & the dogs are not feral they will sit and sleep at your feet. If you don’t like animals hen don’t go as ru can’t avoid the pigs and dogs.

I know this island from 10 years ago. At that time it was still very quiet and beautiful here. Today just overrun by tourists. The pigs that have been released here make this island a tourist attraction. You've never seen pigs before.

We came here on an organized excursion and loved it. Great food, beautiful beach and lots of space to lay, sit and relax. The pigs are super cute and very friendly.

Unfortunately, this "Pig Island" is a tourist trap. They have also brought many pigs also dogs which are dependent tourists, buying food. The water bowls are near empty and dirty for the animals. This is not their natural habitat. I feel this is a way to make money without caring. The animals condition is unethical. There are better islands to visit, and this one is not.

sad place! if you love animals you will not have a good time :( booked a tour for snorkeling and pig island. at the snorkeling spot was nothing but dead reef and dirty water, disappointing and not worth it. at the pig island you see a lot of pigs, which were very overfed by tourists but very thirsty. there are also a lot of dogs, wich were underfed and thirsty. a lot of those animals had wounds or were sick, some had pus bubbles bigger than tennis balls. the dogs had ticks on their bodys. these animals would need medical attention, but they are just for touriat attraction. i think nobody cares if some die as there are enough. in addition to that, dont have a false picture on what to expect: THERE IS PIG AND DOG PISS AND POO EVERYWHERE YOU WALK! apart of this sad tourist attraction the island itself looks quite nice.
