Melati is one of the resort name that I want to come here so long. Room is big and clean. Staff is great and polite. Really recommend it.

The resort is beautiful, especially the vegetation. The beach was nice albeit not long, and there were a lot of waves so swimming in the ocean wasn’t really an option. The location is quite remote so you need a taxi to go to any happening place. The rooms seems stuffy because of the moist and the AC, when it’s on (and it has to be all the time) it blows directly on your head. The staff was helpful and kind. The gym was great, and the SPA was okay, but pricey compared to other options on the island.

The resort is very beautiful and the gardens are also very nicely laid out. We had a private pool villa, which offered plenty of space and was always very clean and well maintained. The breakfast is fine, but nothing special. It is also very nice that you have access to the beach from the hotel. However, what bothered me the most was that the hotel forgot my birthday. Although I had pointed this out when booking and it was also mentioned at check-in. Also my wife told the reception two times that it would be nice to have a small decoration on the breakfast table or in our villa, but this important day was simply ignored. It is disappointing that the hotel did not even show a small gesture or attention to honour this special occasion.

Ideal! Great location; private beach; perfect family rooms with private pool, awesome spa and great food. What else do you want?

The resort is AMAZING. Food is decently good too. Dint like the breakfast buffet spread was the same every day and not many options. The resort .. rooms and everything else is really good.

Charged 5 star hotel price, given 3 star experience. Room was not well maintained. Staff seemed to not want us to leave the premises when we had booked private transport to other parts of the island. Location is far from any other shops or restaurants and the hotel charges very high prices for meals. Food at the hotel was not very nice. It is still cheaper to get an expensive taxi and dine elsewhere. The pool and beach is nice. The house keeping staff were friendly. The spa was nice.

Very nice resort with a kind of jungle style area in the middle with plants, rocks and waterfalls. Could be an Indiana Jones Filmset. Overall very clean, in good shape, service very good. The beach is fantastic, the hotel restaurant really good. We had a very good time here for two weeks staying in a family villa with 2 bedrooms and a pool (Room 503).

My husband and I stayed at Melati for the final stop on our southeastern Asia trip. We splurged for a private pool room and we’re hoping this would be cherry on top of our trip. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the place. It was not what we had hoped it would be. When we arrived we had to wait for the front desk person to find someone to bring us to our room. Despite the resort being pretty busy compared to other places we stayed at in Thailand the upkeep of it was not great. Our private pool didn’t have a working filter so it was dirty. When we checked in our room was missing some amenities we were told should be there; like the beach bag, towels and mosquito zapper. The room also had items left over from the previous guests turndown service. During our 5 night stay we only got the turndown service once. A few other disappointing parts to our stay was the breakfast, they wouldn’t allow us to eat breakfast in our room and when we did go to breakfast my husband got sick from the juice. I had to flag down someone each day to get coffee instead of them coming over to ask. Some nice things about the hotel: the pool was beautiful, it’s right on the water and had lovely views. When the weather was nice we were able to go swimming right at the hotel. The housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean.

We spent a week in the resort. Everything about it was the place was tremendous. The resort had an infinity pool with a swim-up bar (half price cocktails, twice a day) and fantastic views over to Ko Pha Ngan. The food was marvelous too but the best thing about the Melati was the staff; they were all extremely friendly, attentive and professional. My family are keen to return, for longer next time.

I spent 12 days there and definitely suggest this hotel for a family vacation. Any problems that arised at fault of my travel agency the general manager was very quick to fix it all even though was no fault of his own. I loved going to breakfast every morning, as the staff there are very very kind and start nice conversations. I will say they need to put out more vegetarian protein options though. My only complaint would be that the building needs some fixing up, bugs would get in through cracks in the door in the villa but again whenever this was mentioned they were very fast to come and put a temporary piece in to resolve it in the moment.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Melati, we had a great welcome since we landed at the airport with the staff and can waiting to greet us.We booked a family unit, the rooms were nice and clean, and we even had our private pool! Every single staff was very friendly, helpful and very very efficient. Loved the big pool they have there right by the beach. Beach activities were awesome!!! Did kayaking and paddle board. My daughters had a blast!!! I highly recommend the Melati, great place to stay!

The resort is amazing however there is very limited support for vegetarian options in breakfast, despite our request to the chef we could not score much options. The front desk was helpful except for the lady who checked us in. She was not helpful and accomodating. Had trouble checking in. Else beach is amazing, rooms are quite big and room service was quick.

Lovely place to stay with a natural appearance of the whole facility. Awesome cooking - Dinner, Breakfast Buffet and fantastic espresso! All in all you feel the quality of service in every interface.

Stayed here in January, what an amazing place! Lovely staff, very attentive and great to chat to, lovely rooms and nice scenery. Right on the Beach, entertainment if wanted, and the food was cooked to perfection! The staff make it even better, everyone is so kind and helpful. Hope to see you all again soon :)

Definitely not 5 stars. Room phone doesn't work, so we had to walk up hills all the time and then wait 15 minutes in the heat for our bags, which made our taxi ride more expensive and our driver understandably irritated. Unfortunately, the place is run down and always empty, so it's a depressing vibe. Not lusg and green like the photos, but rather yellow and dry. Unfriendly service at the front desk, all 3 ladies just stare at you without any real need to make your experience enjoyable and memorable. The rooms are also so far away and resort really far out so you end up spending lots of money on taxi. I would not recommend coming here and won't be back.

Melati is situated on a beautiful beach which is its best feature. The relatively isolated means it's a long walk to go to the local Family Mart, and bike or taxi is needed to get to restaurants. The food at the resort is okay but much better can be had elsewhere. I believe on of my resort meals gave me food poisoning (I hadn't left the resort at this stage) which was disappointing given I only had 7 days on Samui and this wiped out 3 of them. I was happy the resort rooms were comfortable to spend the 3 sick days. Whilst it was a very pretty place, I don't think there is anything special about it that would prompt a repeat booking.

Big swimming pool with bar and cold drinks! Very relax and enjoy the time we spent here. Thai foods are also excellent. Must try at least once before checking out!

What an amazing resort, with some of the most friendly and helpful staff. Though a bit removed from the main areas (Fisherman’s Village, Chaeweng), they are only a short 10 minute drive and the remoteness made the resort quiet and nicely secluded. From check-in to check-out; the experience was top-notch and we couldn’t be happier with our stay and experience.

Our family of 4 (two teenagers 16/17) stayed at Melati and it was beautiful. We had 2 Garden View joining rooms and they were amazing. Our rooms were huge, modern and had everything we needed, they were a real highlight. The shower and bath that look out over the resort are magnificent and spacious as is the bathroom. The beds are Double Kings, super comfy and huge. Our kids had 2 King size singles in their room that they loved. We had an issue with our AC but luckily the joining rooms kept it cool and didn't cause us any concern. When we brought it up with the staff we were compensated and moved as they were unable to repair it without disruption. We felt very looked after and pampered. The resort facilities are superb, I used the gym a few times and it was always clean and cool with bottles water on hand. Each day they offered free activities such as Yoga, Personal Training and Kick Boxing lessons. It was really fun and relaxing to try these. There are two pools to choose from, a quiet adults pool and the beach front, open pool with pool bar. There is a private beach that is away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng beach. The beach is lined with umbrellas and reclining beach chairs, the view of Koh Pha Ngan is lovely though it faces north, and you can't catch the Sunrise or Sunset. The pool and restaurant staff are THE BEST! They made our stay so welcoming and joyful we can't speak highly enough of them. They took time to remember our names and made our stay with them personal, the way they fussed over us made you feel special. The Chef understood Coeliac requirements and was always helpful with GF food. Each morning the breakfast staff would remember my daughter was dairy free and make her a lovely smoothie with coconut milk. The breakfast buffet was the best I've had and really set you up for the day. There're two restaurants to choose from and both are divine. The food is fresh and there's heaps to choose from. The Melati is a private, quiet resort away from the busy Chaweng streets. It is perfectly placed to be away yet close enough to taxi, scooter or shuttle if you choose to see the island. There is a convenient store just a short walk from the resort. The front desk staff are happy and helpful and the guest relations manager is very accommodating and courteous, thank you for your kindness. The gardens and grounds are beautifully manicured with lovely flowers and gardens. We didn't want to leave and would love to come back. All in all, we couldn't recommend it more and had zero complaints or concerns.

Great location away from the busy main roads around the island. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. The hotel is an alfresco experience, which we were not expecting and some of the rooms and areas have thai character but need some tlc. Overall great experience!

Last night of a wonderful few days in this amazing resort. I booked it as it highlighted that it was secluded and relaxed, which is what I wanted. Currently there is not so many people here which again is perfect for me, the staff are all super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very good and looks directly out to the sea with a private beach. There are 2 very nice swimming pools, one looking out to sea and the other inside the beautiful gardens with streams and plants. This afternoon I went to the sanctuary pool and I was alone there in pure bliss. My room was spacious and the bed huge. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back. Thanks

I love Melati, it's an amazing resort which offers a luxury stay. The staff are very helpful and help guide you around the resort. They have made me feel so welcome on each and every stay. The room itself is very luxury, modern and peaceful. Great pool and fitness centre available on site. Private beach area for guests too. Great hotel all round.

Beachfront resort and spa. Very nice, shady garden and small waterfall along the pathway to the rooms. The beach is great for swimming, kayaking or paddling (for free). . We love endless swimming pool with koh Phangan view infront. . Great buffet BF. Very impress lunch and dinner. We also have one great beachfront seafood dinner buffet with a nice fire show.

We stayed in the pool suite villa which is absolutely stunning and great value for money! Cant believe the size of it and the design is so beautiful. The resort is magical, from the gardens to the pool and views overlooking the ocean and koh phagnan wow! Ive stayed in many 5* resorts in samui aswell as private villas but this place is something else. The cocktails at the swim up bar is fantastic, staff are incredible and the pizzas are good too. Its a little secluded but if you have bike it's fine and they have their own taxis to take you anywhere you want to go. My favourite resort in samui by far loved it cant wait to come back :-)

This hotel shouldn't be rated as 5 stars due to their limited communication capabilities and no concierge service. They even forgot to make any arrangements for the second pcr test on 6th day while other reputable 5 stars SHA+ hotels took care of all the necessary procedures for their guests in advance. On a separate note the hotel is in a remote area located 5 minutes away from the main road, if you're planning to use a scooter you will experience driving in the dark when you're coming back in the evening.

We loved the room, the staff, and the pools! We were doing the sandbox program here, so we "quarantined" at the resort, but we were still able to participate in everything that we wanted to. The room was very spacious, but that was what we had paid for. It was particularly humid during our stay, so having such good AC units in our rooms was delightful after a walk around the premises. Nice large, clean beds as well, and daily cleaning if that's what you're in to. My wife was needing to work during our stay via Zoom, and having a separate "living room" area for her to be in while our son and I hung out in the bedroom or outside was helpful. Our room also had a small private pool, which was nice, but the pool directly behind our room was definitely more fun. I have no idea if these pools are heated, but the water was so warm and nice to be in. The main pool by the restaurant is great, and the view is absolutely beautiful. The staff were more than happy to help us with anything we needed during our stay, including a shuttle service around the island. I would recommend getting a taxi if you're able to, though, as the shuttle is a little pricey in comparison. We have a 3 year old, and the staff were ready to make him happy at any moment, including getting to know him and play with him. Everybody that was on the premises working was always really nice and cheerful, it was a really pleasant to have such friendly staff. The breakfast included bread, both white and wheat, pancakes, crepes, croissants, pastries, fried bread, rice, salad, fried rice, and thai dishes every morning. On the weekend there were a few more options to choose from, mostly new thai dishes. A server would take our egg order, with the options of bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, and roasted tomatoes on the side. You could ask for all, or pick and choose. Coffee and tea were also available.

Beautiful view by the beach. Peaceful with the nature. Rooms are nice and there are many types for you to choose. If you love privacy. Here I recommend you !

Nice hotel with an amazing pool and beach. Service was great. Rooms are not brand new and we had issues getting our free upgrade through Hotels.com reward programme. I would rate it more as a 4 star resort than a 5 star. But it’s definitely still a nice place.

We stayed in the room with the plunge pool room was nice but not worth the $120 paid. Service was slow and even paying so much with a private pool and outdoor shower there is no real privacy. Good for families not couples.

Very clean and spacious 2 bedroom room with a plunge pool. Staff that couldn’t do enough for us, fantastic food with service. Beautiful beach with shallow waters ideal for families with small children.

Beautiful resort and a very good pool. Service at breakfast was fine, no more. Dinner at 'the view' resturant was absolutely terrible! To summ it up- Go there but eat outside.

If you are want the one word description of this place it is - WOW! The rooms are fantastic, the beds are super comfortable, the pools are perfect (especially the swim up bar), the gardens are idyllic, the food at 'The View' restaurant is simply delicious and the beach and surrounding landscape/view of Ko Phangnan is second to none. The location of the resort is also top notch - by scooter Chaweng and Fishermans Village are both 15 mins away. However, what really makes this place special are the staff. They are super attentive and want you to have a good time and make sure all your needs are met. Our special thanks go to the amazing barman John (best cocktails we have ever had), the fantastic reception team - Noni, June, Aris - for all your help with any queries we had and sorting any issues we came across. Yaya and Andy in the restaurant for their attentiveness and great sense of humour. Peach for any activities you want to do. Everyone's kindness and attention to detail really made our holiday special. If you are hesitant to book, don't be - this is one of the best places to stay in Koh Samui.

It's just ok! The hotel allows smoking everywhere. This takes away the experience from other non-smoking guests as you need to smell smoke everywhere. Be prepared for lots of Euro-trash. The hotel clearly values smoking customers over non-smoking customers. Unless you enjoy smelling smoke everywhere, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Many hotels offer smoking and non-smoking areas near the pool. This hotel doesn't. The hotel reached out to help schedule an airport pickup. When we arrived we needed to call the hotel because nobody, we ended up getting a taxi. No respect wasting our time setting up the pickup, not even an apology. The reason you pay more for a hotel pickup is that you expect a happy face driver waiting for you when you arrive. Poor quality hotel, definitely not a 5-Star experience. The beach is nice but dirty, lot's of trash. On a bright note, many of the staff are very nice, friendly and kind. Most don't agree with the smoking policy but it's clearly a management decision.

Great location with Urs Eberhardt being a super Host and GM. The staff in the restaurant are very attentive and super friendly. We enjoyed the stay in the beautiful pool villa, which offered privacy and maximum comfort. Definitely a place to recommend!

Wonderful resort away from the chaos of Chaeweng. We really enjoyed the gardens and the seaside restaurant, with a good selection of Thai food. However forcing the guests to use their taxi service to get out of the resort (highly overpriced) is not ok for me.

The Restaurant was delightful. The two-room Villa with private pool was perfect with kids. The bathroom was huge. I really enjoyed the yoga classes.

We were in Melati for 3 days and it's a real paradise for children. There is a kids club where the staff really take care of children, my daughter didn’t want to leave there 🙈 Large swimming pools, a separate area for children and a paddling pool. The private pool in the room is a great solution for children. 😍 We ate floating breakfast for the first time and it was amazing. There was a lot of choice at breakfast, also for children. It was very green around, a lot of space to run for kids, nice and quiet neighborhood. Beach with a beautiful color of water, shallow water ideal for children, lots of sunbeds. Many attractions for children, workshops on making candles or pizza, a comfortable cot for children. I recommend especially to families.

Overall great experience. It was quite windy while we were there, with some rain, so it limited us a bit in our activities as we planned a trip to the marine park, but that was cancelled. Not the hotels fault. The staff were friendly, food was good, so was the spa. We loved the room with private pool. Would recommend, we certainly will come back.
