Stayed here for 3 nights. It was excellent. The pool was gorgeous! The breakfast was really really good too. Really fresh good quality fruits and cooked food! Only slight problem was that the hotel can get damp when it rains, which it did while we were there. We had to confirm with reception that it was safe to breathe in as the smell was that bad, which they confirmed it was. They also sent up house keeping with extra candles and matches for the oil burner that’s in the bathroom. They did offer for us to change rooms, but we declined as we had already moved rooms that day due to extending our stay.

We were in Thailand for 14 days and stayed in 5 different hotels - but this was by far the best experience we've had. The beach, the pool, the staff, the location of the resort. Everything was perfect. We are vegetarians, and there were no options for us to eat except fruits. The staff noticed that we were having a tough time at breakfast so the next day chef came up front to ask us what can we eat and made a dish for us accordingly. This is a classic example of hospitality and I appreciate the hotel for this. The bathrooms were a bit small, but it does not affect my ratings. I usually don't write reviews but had to pen this down.

Firstly, the pools and beach are not on the hotel property, you have to exit the hotel, then walk across a busy road to get to the pools. This is not ideal nor mentioned anywhere. The beach is dirty and gross, nothing like the photos. You could not pay me to swim. There are no power points in the bathroom. Guests are allowed to SMOKE. And they do. In their rooms, on the balconies, at the pool....so if you want to be surrounded by smoke as if it is the 1970's, this is the place for you. The whole area is pretty gross and dirty,.....vacation elsewhere.

We stayed for a few nights leading up to Christmas. It was a great, quiet and relaxing experience. Breakfast was great! Edgewater restaurant and beach club was a great place to dine or relax by the pool. They also had many activites on offer, including stand-up paddling, kayaking and an amazing fire show! Rooms were fantastic and spacious. Staff were super helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay at Outrigger in Koh Samui. We stayed in the garden suite and had access to the club lounge - the garden suite is perfect for people who don’t want to talk a lot, everything was very close to our room. The club lounge was such a nice escape when the sun got too hot, you get drinks all day and afternoon tea and cocktails served at different times during the day. The staff were really friendly and helpful, my shower door was loose and it was fixed within the day I told the staff. They have an app where you can order toiletries, book resort activities and talk to the staff in any languages which was super useful. There are so many activities to do there, it makes you not want to leave! Would 100% go again, of course with club lounge access.

We visited outrigger last week, it was an amazing property, we had an extremely comfortable stay. The room size was good and the location is pretty good. The breakfast spread is very nice, we are pure vegetarians and requested for veg breakfast and they arranged a few dishes . Next day we wanted to eat something indian for breakfast, Mr Barnard was great so have us provide us Indian breakfast. Thank you for amazing hospitality. We will surely visit again.

A very nice and quiet place in Lamai. Unfortunately the rooms are on an other side of the resort. That means to honor the pool and beach you need to cross an road wich is highly used. There is dough an employee that stops the cars so you can go to the other side. That is why this hotel does not get 5 stars. Rooms are very good, the suite and the pool rooms are so nice. The suite is HUGE. The beach is not a real beach but you can walk and find other places to sit. Not so convenient if you are comfortable. Clean and nice people. The breakfast was also very good, with a live cook for egg station. And again the ladies that work there amazing😇thank you for the nice stay.

Great welcome to the hotel, and access to the lounge is a lovely if you have a suite. They have a cocktail hour with canapés which is a very nice touch. The “suites” are not exactly 5 star like most upmarket hotels. The air conditioning was terrible and constantly leaked for us. (Room 251). However, beds are comfortable and the place is clean. The pool area is nice. But the service around the bar and in the restaurant is terrible. You feel like you are being a nuisance just being there. Food is average. I would stay here again but don’t expect exceptional service and food from this place.

We stayed an enjoyable 4 nights. Very nice staff helped make our stay pleasant and relaxed. The view from the room didn't have a great outlook but the room itself was very comfortable and clean. Of particular note was the wonderful presentation of our room on arrival, recognising my wife's birthday - happy wife, happy life, as they say. I'd happily return.

We were there for the soft opening so was quiet. We stayed in a garden room. This meant we had a secluded garden with a table and chairs outside. The room was large and very comfortable, good facilities. Tea and coffee making items and bottles of water, replenished every day. The food was amazing. Especially the breakfast. Pools were clean and plenty of sunbeds and towels. The staff were amazing and attentive. The hotel uses an app so if there was anything you needed or wanted information about you sent a message and within a few minutes there was a reply. Location of hotel was great. Not in the middle of nowhere but quiet. You could walk to the local town, about a 15 minute walk, or grab a tuktuk for about 100 baht for 2 people. Thoroughly recommend

We've spent 10 nights at the resort and I gotta say we've had an amazing experience overall. The rooms were clean and well kept, the staff were very nice in all departments from room service to kitchen and reception. (Shout out to Norbert at reception who was an amazing guy and very helpful.) The location was perfect as well for us as it wasn't at the busiest area, but with a short walk you could reach anything you need. Private beach and pool area is spacious and comfortable also with a creative outlay. 10/10

Anyone who values first-class service, authenticity and good vibes has come to this place! Every single employee at Outrigger Samui always has a smile on their face and tries to make your vacation as nice as possible. We had 10 great and relaxing days as a family, with very good food and lots of relaxation. The rooms are beautiful designed and are huge. We will definitely come back. 5 stars deserved !

Definitely not a 5-Star hotel, at best would rate at 3. Small rooms with a tiny bathroom. Took them three days to get consistent hot water in our room. Touts it is "Set on the pristine shores of Lamai Beach" however you have to cross a busy road to access a small, unimpressive breach, though the pools are quite impressive. No rooms have direct ocean access. Food in restaurants was very average.

The staff is excellent and the place looks nice but the rooms smell funny. My wife and I booked a room here and were excited b/c it is right next to Carlson Gracie Jiu Jitsu and the beach but the smell of mildew in the rooms was too much. We switched rooms and it was the same story. We are actually searching for a new place to stay right now as the smell is just too much for us. Usually don't leave these types of reviews but just to save other travelers time if they are sensitive to smells.

Exquisitely stylish hotel matched with honeymooners. The location, the accommodation, various selection of breakfast and the service are on point🔝 One of the best hotel brands on Koh Samui, just walk across the small road, we can find the private sunbath area and swimming pool oriented to the beach. Gym is also nearby the pool as well. Impressive stay there!

The rooms are large and beautiful. Hotel is lovely. Pool is great and the staff are very quick to please. Breakfast is great with a wide variety The only draw back is the beach. It's dirty and I wouldn't swim there.

It has a classical look-- you half expect Humphrey Bogart to walk out the next room. The rooms and suites were excellent. Service was attentive and staff knew English. In booking tours, its important to make sure your guide also speaks your language. There are 2 pools and the beach, which was the setting for a fairy tale wedding.

A good resort in koh Samui. Good location- about a km from the night market. Rooms may be a little small and the view from the rooms is not great. However they hv 2 swimming pools and the one across the road on the beach is indeed beautiful. The restaurants are good and very reasonable. The breakfast spread is decent. The staff is extremely good. What they lack is d beach experience- it's dirty n not a stretch where you would like to be. Also their bar closes at 8 so u cant really sit n enjoy a late night drink by the seaside.

This resort has been a wonderful experience for us.Rooms are spacious and very clean.Quality of food served is excellent and presentation superb.Staff are very friendly and professional and take pride in their positions even addressing Guests by name. Location is right on the beach at Edgewater and a safe crossing of the road at the hotel entry is assured every time by day and night. We come to Thailand for a month every year and stay more often at Khao lak because the Robinson Club there is Top notch however, we have now found a resort which is definitely five star standard and is a credit to the Management and we have observed how well they interact not just with Guests but with the Staff also. The only downside is the Spa.We Ladies would normally spend well on pampering in our resort but it is obvious that the Spa is outsourced and a huge disappointment. There are however great massage and beauty salons just a short walk away.Thank you for making us feel welcome from Check in and nothing requested was a problem. We will be returning Guests.

Our stay at this hotel was great from start to finish. The location is perfect and is close to everything. Good for family’s but wouldn’t recommend as much for younger adults because of the amount of kids. Rooms were elite and the service was great. Staff service was also very good and accommodated to all of our needs. Would recommend 👍🏻

Very friendly staff. The manager and head chef arranged for Pure Veg and Jain food also. The breakfast spread was very good. The swimming pool is just next to the beach.

Great for families. The rooms are outstanding. The breakfast is good. The food is very very good, and reasonably priced. The childcare is a fantastic option for stressed parents who need a holiday, too. The pools are great. The only downsides are location and the beach, but if you're happy with staying just at the resort, then it's perfect.

We stayed for 7 nights and had a really good experience, we loved this hotel. The staff were very attentive and super helpful when needed. The rooms and beds were comfortable, great pillows and linen. It had a colonial vibe, clean and breezy. The beach is across the road, with the main pool overlooking the shore line. The beach is not suitable for swimming, it’s slushy. But the pools make up for it, and they had good tunes on the stereo, which was a plus! I want to really commend the staff for action taken with an injury that my friend had. He trod on coral at The Pig Island, and needed a doctor asap, who came to the hotel within half an hour to literally do surgery on his foot. The staff were really swift with their actions, caring and efficient. They even let us have our special package dinner in the room, as my friend couldn’t walk. Thank you so much, we had such a wonderful stay and hope to come back one day!

My family and I (With two kids) spent our Christmas holiday at the resort. We had a great time there specially because the arrival of Santa Claus and free gifts for kids was organized by hotel. It was a big surprise to all kids. My kids loved it! Many thanks to the hotel manager Mrs Leah for organizing that. She and her staff were hospitable, friendly and responsive, Everything was perfect at the Christmas buffet lunch. The buffet was extensive, there were verity of choices. Food was flavorsome and tasty (Compliment to the Chef) dishes were being refilled quickly and dessert options were homemade baked which were delicious. In overall, everything was perfect and our kids truly enjoyed their time. Thank you. Michael

I really have nothing to say but that the WHOLE OUTRIGGER TEAM, will give you an outrageous GREAT service. They are super kind and that’s what a top tier hospitality will feel like if you stay at their hotel. No matter how inconvenient you wish is they will get it done for you. The rooms are super clean and the bed is comfortable. The food at edgewater is great and the service even better 😍 thank you guys so much for the great time! Definitely coming back!!!

Noisy - right on a busy main road which you have to cross to get to the noisy pool. Beach is very narrow and dirty.Unfriendly staff and sterile unwelcoming atmosphere. Room was okay - but much smaller than the photos. Really regret booking this hotel.

Room and staff are fantastic. Pool on the main property is a bit oversold in the photo on the website. It's rather small, with only a few chairs available. However, the pool across the street (still part of the Manathai Resort complex) is gorgeous, with plenty of seating/umbrellas and a bar. There is direct access to the beach from the pool area, with hammocks.

Me and my boyfriend are traveling around Thailand and for the Koh Samui island we chose the Ourigger resort. It was an excellent choice. The design of the hotel really impressed us. The interior and exterior of the hotel was in perfect condition, everything clean and fine-tuned to perfection. Beautiful swimming pools, fitness center and a great range of accompanying program. We took advantage of the yoga, meditation and thai boxing classes. The breakfasts were excellent and rich in variety. The staff was very nice. Of you looking for a special place to stay on your vacay, you find the one. Thank you Outrigger for the wonderful memories that will always be associated with this magical island.

We normally go to a sea side resort at least once a year. We are extremely happy at our current vacation, at the Outrigger Resort @ Koh Samui. The location, service, food, the pool, gym etc are outstanding. The service can not be more friendly. We recommend this resort to other couples & families. The F & B team was exceptional, they even produced a dish ( a delicious sea food pasta) just for us. F & B Director, Bernard & his team deserves comendation.

A gem in Koh Samui. The Architecture & Design in our room, hotel facilities and beach club are pure class. We didn’t want to leave the resort except for 1/2 day shopping in Central. It’s so nice and worth staying in a brand new refurb resort with their team always smiling and making sure our island holiday is as memorable and fun as we had. Will be terribly missed and will be back! 🏝🧞‍♀️

The hotel has been totally refurbished and rooms are brand new. The new American Managment takes care a lot about the customers offering a 5* service trough the whole day. We have been there 20 days with my family at Xmas/New Year time. Not a single failure. What to know: The property is near the beach. Not beach front in the reality. There s a road separating the main complex from the beach club. Nothing serious as there are guards guaranteeing you an easy and safe street crossing. The beach club and pool is ... wow. Kids enjoyed the pools, the slide and the food there. The beach is not the best as the Hotel is the last before a small island and a small fishermen's Harbour. But ... this is not the hotel fault for sure. Service and staff... Professional and Friendly. Big thank you to Norbert and Leah for helping us out with every request.
