It is a well-designed hotel, beautiful, warm, according to the guidelines of this hotel in many places. Good service, polite staff, always enthusiastic about service. Although I feel that the lighting in this hotel is a little less, probably to create an atmosphere.

Our stay at the hotel “Antara Bophut Koh Samui Resort” was amazing. The staff was awesome and friendly, they treated us like family from the start to the end. I want to give a shout-out to Ploy who did everything to make our stay special. The room was comfy and neat, and the location was ideal for everything. The food was yummy, with a lot of choices and quality. The hotel also had a nice pool. I would totally suggest this hotel to anyone who wants to chill and have fun.

Amazing hotel. The garden view rooms on the ground floor are fantastic - leading out onto a fantastic water area with lily pads and frogs. We actually had the option of being in a sea view room and voluntarily 'downgraded' ourselves to a garden room. Pool and bar area are great. Stayed with family - kids aged 9 and 6, who loved it. Very good breakfast. Staff are very helpful.

The property which we stayed in was a pool villa. Everything from a buggy pick up to breakfast restaurant or staff curtesy and beach was so below average and unacceptable. We stayed in other Anantara properties both in Thailand and other countries and this was THE WORST! I am not recommending this property. There was molds everywhere in the pool area, door size was unbelievable small, so much so they were not able to pass a food tray through it. Breakfast was served in a very hot area exposed to sun and very limited number of fans. You would have get sick from heat after 30 minutes. Very limited options at the buffet. Their western staff were very flattering only when they were trying to force you to get to barbecue dinners otherwise you were ignored! Beach is a total coral wall which is the stall water stinking in most parts and a total eye sore. You can see that all the properties lack proper light and air circulation and we couldn’t black out our room for sleeping. You could wait 45 minutes for a buggy after calling twice only to find out that front desk forgot to organize it. Or the room service tray with foods left overs might take 48 hours to clear from your villa for no reason rather than being unprofessional and unorganized! This was a 2 star hotel quality and service for a five star plus charges which we never return to!

Simply wow. Gorgeous resort where I spent one week in a two bedroom suite with my family. The staff have been outstanding and interacting with them every day has been one of the highlights of our trip. Didn’t try the F&B options aside from breakfast which is a huge spread (including savoury Asian dishes too): delicious and recommended. The location on the island if great - family and couple centric and very very chill. Would absolutely return.

What a lovely hotel. Sufficiently far away from Fishermans village to have peace and quiet but close enough to pop in every evening for dinner or entertainment. The staff are fabulous and Will do anything possible to make your stay more enjoyable. Breakfast is a huge selection and there is enough to please anybody. We booked a garden room with a private pool. The only downside is that the hedge to give you privacy then affords you no view whatsoever, which is a shame because the gardens are absolutely beautiful. My tip is to take a room on the first floor or above and get a great view of the sea. The only downside is the cleanliness on the beach. Guests leave cigarette ends and food remnants in the sand. I really think the hotel should put a little more effort into ensuring the beach is clean. Having said that, it disgusts me that people leave their rubbish for others to clear up.

Breathtakingly beautiful hotel, great location just a couple minutes walk from the Fisherman's Village and tons of restaurants and massage places. The regular or deluxe rooms are not very big, and were very inconvenient with a baby especially because there's no real separation between the bathroom/shower and the rest of the room. Maybe ok as a couple but not really with a baby. After the first night they agreed to move us to the larger junior suite which was perfect. The breakfast was great but the restaurants and beach bar for lunch and dinner were underwhelming and pricey. As noted above there are tons of places a few minutes walk away so it's not too bad.

Loved our stay. Excellent location. Above and beyond service staff. Rooms are clean, but the bathroom moving wall was a little weird. Other than that it was a perfect stay. Expansive breakfast buffet offering western and traditional thai breakfast items. Full Moon restaurant was very nice too.

Very nice hotel in the Bophut area. The rooms are a bit outdated but in general very good and with a balcony facing the gardens. The scenery of the hotel is amazing ! The pool area is big and the pool is open until 9:00 pm (at Anantara Lawana is open until 7:00 pm). The pool/beach bar is very nice and offers happy our. The beach area is amazing, no rocks and very good for swimming. The pedestrian area as well as the fish/night market starts next to the hotel (2 min walk). You can find lots of restaurants and massage places. The staff is amazing and the buffet is very well served. The only negative point is the Spa, which has very high prices compared to other places in Thailand.

We were lucky enough to have an awesome 2 week stay here in May… From the moment we arrived at the hotel we felt like royalty. The welcoming treats in the rooms are a lovely gesture & the rooms are clean, bright & have everything you need & more. We were given a token to have a free meal in the hotel restaurant (how generous), traditional Thai food of a high quality & the service was amazing! I would highly recommend eating here as it was a wonderful experience. We went on day trips to The Elephant Sanctuary Spa & for a Jeep Safari, the staff teams were so friendly, plenty of cold water to drink & they supplied amazing traditional Thai food, it was delicious. We made some amazing memories. The hotel pool is beautiful & serve a delicious lunch to indulge, the beach is clean & again with everything you need. Fisherman’s Village starts from a five minute stroll from the hotel & offers lots of lovely restaurants, bars, shopping & other Thai treats. Every single staff member at the hotel were friendly, courteous, polite, generous & made our stay very welcoming. I would give each of them a 10 star rating if I could. On checking out day we were asked if we could complete an online survey to let them know were they could improve - in my opinion - it was simply PERFECT!! We left the Anantara Hotel - Bo Phut - Koh Samui rested & overwhelmed with their generosity.

Great resort. Stayed in their huge 2 bedroom suites. Very spacious, with a big balcony to enjoy the view equipped with sofas and day bed. The resort has a nice children's club and a couple of food outlets with decent pricing and options. Right next door to the Fishermen's Village is an added bonus. The staff were very eager to assist and were always prompt.

Beautiful property and good location with private beach and fabulous spa. Hotel staff is very warm and helps in everything. Spa is very good and the services are personalised. Beach is private. In all the feeling is free and peaceful.

Fantastic holidays! The villa is spacious and looks quite new. The staff was super attentive to every detail or request. The location is super good. Beautiful walks along the sea in the evening, plenty of restaurants and bars, night Market, few spa with good service and amazing view. Would definitely recommend the hotel!

Great hotel in a great location next to the fisherman village. Rooms are great, kids club is a bit outdated and the spa is outstanding! The breakfast is average and the service in general is good. In my opinion, a bit over priced for what you get.

Beyond 5 stars due to the staff! Beautiful and clean rooms, great location near Fisherman‘s village, out of this world spa, well-maintained garden and not to forget the well equiped gym! The spinning bike just made my day ;) Have been many times to Koh Samui and Anantara Bophut is for me by far the best hotel on the island!

Yeah it is a five + star for sure. The staff is well trained and super nice. We stay in a two bedroom suite with a sea view. Very nice room that we did not wanna go anywhere on the island. Breakfast is pretty good but thai selections are limited and the dimsum is sub par. The swimming pool is ok but the water is kinda murky. Also, the beach is not ideal as the sand is not as fine as in other beaches in Samui but the location is great near the fisherman village with so many dinning options. Our highlight is the street food on Monday and Wednesday. Great bbq pork neck, fried chicken, and fresh pasta. We did enjoy our stay here.

Having in mind high rank of the hotel I give it a 4* and not 5* as some things could be improved. But in that area of Koh Samui (Bophut, Chong Mon) it is prrety much the best you can get. It is a beautiful hotel surrounded by lush greenery right on the beach. Location is perfect. At the walking distance from Fisherman vilage but still very private. Swimming pool is superb with the ocean view with the great bar next to it (two happy hours 17-19 and 21-23h). Breakfast was great but coffee could be better. We had oceanfront villa so I can comment only on that room. The two terraces were huge with a perfect view. The bathroom lacks privacy as it is open space. AC wasn’t working properly during our stay though they tried to fix it.

Not a 5 star standard for what they charge, so surprisingly disappointed overall. Expecting a much higher standard for the price 350€ night and the feeling was a vacation club. Coffee facilities in the room are same as a local B&B in Ko Samui, a kettle and 2 cups for instant coffee. Definitely not acceptable, sorry to say. Good location but need a lot to be done to be a 5star

Had a great stay at the Anantara Bophut resort. The location is great as well as the set up of the hotel. The service was perfect as well, with lots of smiles. The only negatives to mention is the lack of free drinking water for a hotel in such a warm climate. As well as the pricing of the hotels own food. Would have loved to enjoyed some of the Hotels food, however the pricing was just too high. However, still had a lovely stay at the hotel.

Amazing location right next to the boulevard of Fisherman’s village. The staff was great and I loved the rooms and the garden. The pool was great too! Would def come back again

We had a brilliant 1 week stay at the Anantara. We have been travelling Thailand for 3 weeks and the service here is the best we experienced out of the other hotels we have stayed at. The vibe here is good, it’s got a good mixture of liveliness and chill vibes when you need them. We visited the spa and I have to say it’s really worth the money. The spa is fantastic, it feels like you’re in a movie when you’re walking towards it! Definitely has the wow factor. Breakfast food in the morning is good, caters to all needs! Big shout out to my main man Yut and Cindy. They were really friendly and took care of both myself and my wife by the pool on our honeymoon. My only minor bit of criticism would be that the room we stayed in was nice (deluxe garden view room) but the bathroom felt maybe a bit tired and the weird swinging door caused some issues when trying to negotiate the shower and toilet!

Great stay at the resort. Staffs across all dept were excellent and attentive to our needs. Breakfast spread was good....variety of western and Thai selection. Clean beach and great pool. Highly recommended resort.

Anantara Bophut resort is an amazing resort to stay, from the moment you step inside the resort you know you are in a special place, the traditional Thai design of the hotel is amazing and you immediately feel in Thailand, the shared spaces are just amazing, with gardens, pools, and beach in the highest level of comfort and scenery. the Service of staff is also worth mentioning, we were received beautify with the "Anantara" special GONG and it was truly special. the breakfast was also very good, with a large variety of food to chose from, fresh juices - you name it it's there. also, the food at the pool was incredible, must be one of the best we had in all over Thailand. but very very expensive (to Thailand). I recommend that you at least once try the spa at the hotel as it's one of the best I have ever had and the place looks like heaven. the only drawback at the hotel from my point was the room we stayed in, which is a bit dated with the mattress well.. not the best I slept on. The shower and amenities were amazing though. but don't let it change your mind, I would go again and again...

A timeless resort with lots of story to tell. I love the garden and the overall design of the resort, the layout is also pretty simple that you don't get lost. The spa is the best I've tried so far on the island and it is a grand spa design, the coconut treatment and cannabis is a must try. Another good highlight of the resort is the breakfast overlooking the pool and the ocean, what a great way to start the day. And during the day or evening chill over drinks or pizza at A.Shore, a rustic beach bar that is Uber cool. The suite is spacious and you can opt for connecting room. I love the bathroom with double vanity and also bathtub. Last but not least is the friendly service members that makes your stay easy and comfortable.

I had a very memorable birthday celebration here in Anantara Koh Samui. They decorated my room villa so beautifully with many balloons and gave me a cake. The resort has a very nice beach with a good restaurant and fast service. The pool is big and the kids club is open. We like the room and they offer to clean twice a day and ask you if you need anything. We enjoyed our stay here.

Top notch experience. From the service, to the beach bar. Food is amazing, pool is amazing, staff is amazing. And cherry on top is the Spa, which is nothing I’ve seen before; architecturally and service-wise. Looking forward to visiting again.

The hotel is not small and not too big. Lots of trees make all around the hotel shady and looks fresh and greenery. Room is large and comfortable. Good decorations and functions. Service is very good. Breakfast also good. Overall is really great hotel, just only one star deducted because the noise from somewhere like there is nearby room under renovation/construction. Also a lot of mosquitoes in the morning and evening. The beach is not clean and the sea is not clear from October to December due to the weather. Should avoid this period.

  • 5/5 Rob T. 1 year ago on Google
An exception stay, the rooms were clean & cool plus the food amazing! The hotel grounds are well maintained and look beautiful during the day but more exotic and extraordinary at night time. As always it’s worth highlighting the staff who enhanced the stay with their quality of service, friendly nature and professionalism, they are Joe, Siva, Charlie. And then there is Lily, a stand out! She was fantastic, friendly, warm and welcoming, a true asset to the Anantara team, I will happily return again based on how wonderful she was, thank you Lily you are the best.

Excellent hotel right on the beach. Fishermans Village can be reached on foot in a few minutes along the promenade. No traffic noise. Very nice pool with sea views. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Extremely friendly, professional and helpful staff. Would book this hotel again at any time.

Love it here. Thai contemporary design, a lot of tree with beautiful sea, nice breakfast with some food rotation and good service. Next to the beach and Fisherman walking street where I can enjoy day and night activities. Also, easy to get a taxi and local transportation.

Literally no privacy at all. I mean there are no locks in the room, the room is compact, the glass door isn't held in place and either the shower or bathroom is exposed - literally no privacy and it's a pain to move the thingie each time. Such a weird hotel and it's a shame because it's located in a very nice area with nice beaches and their food is decent as well.

  • 3/5 jahnavi g. 1 year ago on Google
Overall stay was not too bad, let down by the quality of food. Breakfast was nothing great, cocktails very average. Housekeeping was also quite average with the cleanliness. Staff is friendly and helpful. What i found absolutely weird is room service shuts at 10pm and there’s no availability to order anything post. Overpriced food and spa services.

I did not stay here, just went in for a walk and we were just STUNNED by how magnificently and gorgeously this place was designed. Just as you enter, there was lotus ponds on both sides along with huge trees and the air just feels fresh suddenly. As we walked in, there were oil candles burning on both sides and a temple that had incenses burning. The whole atmosphere was magical and very calming. As we reached the main entrance, we were stunned by the chandeliers here and crossed over to again see an entirely new experience with a entire pond of lotus with a canoe in the middle. Seating areas with boho lamps. My words cannot capture the feeling of this place. You just have to experience it.

7 days in heaven. The hotel and the surrounding areas are breathtaking and well preserved, the atmosphere is great. and the staff was very helpful and willing to help. The fisherman's village (Bophut) is much quiet than Chaweng area. The beach was clean and the pool is very big. The best breakfast we had ever... The spa and the massage are marvelous and must do in the hotel. We loved it and can't wait to come back. Thanks to the staff that made our stay unforgettable.

The Anantara Bophut staff are absolutely incredible and looked after us so well for the duration of our 8 night stay. We absolutely loved our room and all the beautiful resort facilities - which are exceptional. Breakfast is out of this world and caters to almost every cuisine and dietary requirement. This was our third time back to stay at this resort and can't wait to return for our 4th visit. Thank you for all your kindness Anantara Bophut ❤️

Loved our stay! Right on the beach and so convenient to walk to fisherman’s village and a popular beach club. Beautiful garden with a big lotus pond between the lobby and the beach restaurant. Food is very good could have more variety. The lovely staff made us feel welcomed. The guest rooms are very comfortable. Thank you for a breakfast in room on the last day for me before checking out as I was unwell from too much sun and they brought breakfast with a smile. Happy!

👍👍 A touristy place with many restaurants and eateries. Best to visit on Monday, Wednesday or Friday night when the night Market is operating. The night Market has a variety of street food and touristy stuff. Interesting to visit but not a very big place. Nice beach ambience when walk along the street...
