Loud.....way too loud. I will keep it simple and easy: - Rooms: Beautiful and clean - Staff: Nice and friendly - Activities: Plenty BUT: It is loud. And by loud I mean incredibly "you are not able to catch a good night sleep loud". Believe me, I never had big issues sleeping with a bit of noise but this hostel is completely crazy. - There is a construction site right next to this hotel which is basically 24/7 working. - You can hear the people in the next room TALKING. Not even screaming but just plain and simple talking. - The noise from the party main road goes on for almost the whole night. - People are often drunk and are super noisy in their room in every hour of the day. As much as I would love to give some better reviews, the aspect of the noise level is so unbelievable crazy that I can only give one star. It is not exaggeration by the people in the comments.....it does not matter in which room you are, it is unbelievable loud in this hostel.....and it does not matter how good everything else is, if you can not catch a good night sleep, everything else is worthless. A real pity, don't go here if you want to relax. Choose another hotel and come here for socializing.

A phenomenal stay at Lub D Samui! Visiting for the first time with my partner and friends. The rooms were incredibly spacious and level of amenities for the value. Great service from the staff who were always happy to provide suggestions of attractions and local food across the entire island. Perfectly located to be within walking distance of a high volume of street food & entertainment. Travel agencies also located in front of the building that will provide travel packages and bike rental at an affordable rate! We’re all really looking forward to coming back again real soon!

Very value for money with excellence service. I and my friend stayed in deluxe room. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Didnt expect budget hotel to come with comfy bed 🤣🤣. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They have daily actitivities that guests can join (with extra charge) The pool has pool bar that you can swim and enjoy the drink by the pool. Recommend for travellers who look for active and lively vibe. As location is in the Chaweng beach where you can go to any pubs and restaurants you want too. NB: Not recommend for very sensitive sleepers tho.

Don't trust the negative reviews and just do it! Lub d is an amazing hotel right at the beach and right in the center of Chaweng beach. We stayed in a king room in building 1 and loved it so much we're coming back in a couple of days. We were surprised by how 'quiet' it is there, chill house music at the pool starts at around 12 and around 4pm, the music gets a bit louder and a DJ starts to play. We thought that the party would go on much longer but they actually stop everything at around 11 or 12. In our room we didn't hear anything from the party street outside the hotel, there's a row of buildings in between. The construction next door did not go on all night we someone mentioned. The staff is super friendly, helpful and always makes sure you have the best time. Shoutout to Ollie, what a legend 🥳 Even though it's a bit more expensive compared to other places around the island it's so worth it!

Perfect place, very chill but also very social. Staff is really attentive, Mac and Ninja always remember your order which makes you feel like home and always happy to help with recommendations. Hostel is really clean and rooms are really big.

Lub D Hotel is truly a gem among accommodation options. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and friendly staff who greeted me with genuine smiles especially Ann, Wine and Saw! The level of hospitality here is exceptional, and they go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable and memorable. In summary, Lub D Hotel is an excellent choice for both solo travelers and groups. The friendly and accommodating staff, along with the hotel's modern amenities, make for a truly enjoyable stay. I honestly do not understand how this place has such high reviews. All the photos were probably taken years ago, the area by the pools is completely different and extremely dirty every morning full of teenagers in hangover. The sunbeds have no cushions on them and so are unusable. The bar prices for coffee are super expensive, not to mention the terrible value for money of the hotel in general. The rooms are so small with absolutely no space to store your things... I couldn't wait to leave. The only way you will enjoy this is you if you're a teenager looking to get drunk every night and fall asleep by the pool I guess. Otherwise stay away

Only one word for the property it's just WOW. It is just second to none in Koh Samui. A must stay place for all the party lovers whether you are solo traveller, couple or in a group you have all the activities to do. They have pool table, theme pool parties every day with breathtaking sea view from infinity pool. The best part I like was all day breakfast scheme so you don't have to get early after amazing night parties. Their hospitality is next level. I totally recommend this one in Koh Samui and ll visit soon.

A surprising party hostel with a great beach, bar, pool party’s and amaze staff. Located right in the central of everything with one of the best beach clubs. The staff will help with absolutely everything and you can find married couples, families and pensioners among the vast majority of young backpackers giving the place a great atmosphere.

The stay has been excellent and has motivated me to leave a review even though I’m still here!! They are very accommodating and helpful and it has a very safe and secure feel with lots of friendly staff and security. The rooms feel like a 5 star hotel where you can meet likeminded people and everything is top quality. I love the bathrooms that are always clean, everything works and has all you need to be fresh for the beach and local party scene. I would 100% recommend this hotel/hostel as it literally has a bit of everything and a family vibe. You wont regret it. Great hostel/hotel in the center of the Chaweng Beach area. The rooms are modern and very clean. There are two very nice pools with floating bean bags, very fun! The cocktails at the pool bar are at a good price. There is a fire show on the beach most days of the week which you can watch before going to dinner. Totally worth it!

A really lovely Hostel in Koh Samui, even though it is social, you can’t hear it from the rooms and it is not forced upon you to have to be social if you do not want. 2 lovely swimming pools, games tables, absolutely delicious food options and nice drinks. The staff were very helpful and the location is perfect, right in the heart of Chaweng! One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in south east Asia!

Its the best hostel I've ever been.What a fantastic experienced we had. Me and my family rely enjoy the amenities and the pool. Very well recommended. The staff was very accommodating, the service is great the place is fantastic! the nearby restaurants are a perfect places too to enjoy.

The staffs are very friendly and well-trained. They will definitedly make you feel home. Various drinks with reasonable price. I loved the selection breakfast, both Thai and ABF were great! It was my first time trying paddle board and I enjoy it a lot.

Great hostel. Paid roughly £11 per night and it was great value for money. I stayed in a 8 bed mixed dorm for 10 nights. There’s two pools, it’s right on the beach, rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They printed off my TM7 form and did my photocopying for my visa extension (for free) for me too. There’s a washer and drier for clothes (40 baht to wash and 10 baht for every 10 mins of drying). You can buy washing detergent and drinks etc from the reception (which is 24hrs) as well as locks for the lockers in the dorms. There’s a restaurant/ bar which does decent food and drinks too. It’s a good location, beach, etc. I will be booking a stay in Lub d Cambodia Siem reap which I am excited for !

The only choice for hostel in Koh Samui. We stayed in a private room which over looked the pools and beach. Great facilities. Staff were very friendly. Night time atmosphere was very fun if you are looking to party!

I booked this stay almost 2 month before, but just before 2 days of my arrival, my stay got cancel without any notification or warning, after calling them they said due to some credit card issue. It was very stress full situation to find another stay and due to already travelling from long flight. When contacting Lub D some staff on call was helpful but other was very arrogant and I was asked for 2 times more money with current rate they told. I was agreed to pay more but I asked for pay on arrival because of already travel but it was impossible for them to hold booking without getting paid. I am more surprised of seeing advertisement of pay on arrival. This is very fake and disappointing. I was very frustrated with this issue just one day before arrival.

Good location right on the beach. Activities such as pool parties are offered every day, so you can definitely socialize. However, the price for a bed in the dorm is a bit high in my opinion. You also only get a towel as a blanket, I was freezing at night

Scam! False advertising. Gave us a nice pic of room so we booked one with king size bed as per the photo. I have copy of it on our confirmation but that is not the room they gave us. We are always very careful selecting bed size and paid extra for a room with king bed. They gave us room with single beds! That should be cheaper. They reduse to change room or give us refund. Not happy!! They said "just push the beds together." This is false advertising and bait and swith! Be careful. Once you pay there will be no refund.

We had such a great stay at Lub d the last week, I've stayed in their Patong and Siem Reap hostels as well and it always blows my mind how incredible the facilities and staff are for a hostel. It feels like a 4 star hotel. The other surprising thing was how busy the place was, if you're backpacking and looking to meet others, it's the perfect spot! We were offered a free mango daquiri at their welcome session which was so nice and the pools are amazing, right on the beach and they have a pool bar! Shout out to Ying who booked us on a safari jungle tour, definitely recommend!

Great beachfront hostel for Backpackers that also like to party from time to time! Located right next to the busy Chaweng Beach Rd. with all of it's bars, clubs and restaurants but still secluded enough not to be bothered by the noise. The rooms are perfectly clean and the service is great with a very friendly staff! The included restaurant and bar offer high quality food and drinks and you can spend your time there at the beach, in one of the two pools, playing ping pong, billard air hockey and a lot more. There is is a special program almost every day but it never gets annoying, you can join in the different activities or just relax, there is never any pressure. Really nice place for younger people or those that don't mind the occasional party noise (which really isn't that bad or often)!

The entire facility and the room were very nice and invited to chill. What must be clear is that this is also a very large hostel, in which not always the appropriate night's rest is observed by all.

If you are looking for a fun time and good sleep Lub D is literally the place to be. Translated it actually means good sleep. Haven‘t been so experienced by hostel so far I could tell Lub D is a special place. I enjoyed every bits of it. Starting from the food, to its great common area, they even even let me do the fire show. The beach view from the pool is so amazing and the staff Mina, Saw and New were super welcoming to us. They even joined us on the pub crawl which you should definitely join aswell. Everybody had a blast and we got to know so many people. I will never forget Lub D and if I get the chance I come back for sure!

Good social hostel, in a great location, just off the strip. Friendly staff (if a little young looking, and sometimes lacking in English). Prices for food/drink are slightly inflated, but compensated by the pools, and free towels. Would be nice if water was available to refill bottles or if a welcome drink had been thrown in.

This is a nice quality hostel with a definite party vibe. The hostel has a DJ in the evenings who plays loud music at the pool and near the beach that goes on late into the night. Because of this, the hostel is more suited to a crowd who enjoys partying. The location of the hostel is very beautiful and convenient with direct access to Chaweng Beach. There are two swimming pools, outdoor seating, indoor seating, a pool table, an air hockey table, and a ping pong table in the recreation area of the hostel. In addition, there are other services including a full bar with a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and protein shakes, a restaurant with a good selection, and stand up paddle board rentals. The staff were kind and courteous, but not overly helpful. My private room was very spacious and clean, with a very nice waterfall shower, but the dorm room I was first placed into smelled strongly of mold (I decided to upgrade to a private room due to this). Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.

We booked a hostel room as a couple because we thought the private rooms were a little steep (150 I think I remember seeing) for being a hostel. Mind you they are well maintained it’s an elevated hostel and honestly more like a hotel since it allows all ages. Kind of weird mix because it is fairly loud with music until 1am. If you’re in building 1 or 2 it probably won’t be as loud. We read a review about bed bugs back in March and were nervous for our stay since we just notice a day before. We checked the beds and they were fine and looked clean. Good for a short stay but would be too overstimulating for anything more than that if you’re not into partying. Quick note to a previous reviewer if you’re worried the photos are fairly accurate to what the resort looks like. 2 pools and 1 bar. Lots of seating and some loungers on the beach. There isn’t any mesh nets to lounge in by the pool outlooking the ocean. It’s now a little bar top with seating

I love this hostel! This is my second time staying here and it is definitely my favorite hostel by far that I've ever stayed at (and I've stayed at over 50 hostels worldwide). You can't go wrong here..it's a little more expensive than other places but well worth the value! Clean facilities, great staff, beachfront, two pools, swim up bar, daily fun activities, and just an overall good vibe! Even if you don't stay here just stop by for a visit and you'll see what I mean. I highly recommend and will be returning whenever I'm back in Thailand! Don't forget to take the RIP shot and rep for your country! Thank me later!

As for the room is clean and it is excellent, surprisingly comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others having a holiday trip.

Lub D Koh Samui a perfect mix of hostel/hotel and beach club. We have been to many hostels on our trip and I can say Lub D is different and probably one of the best accommodation if you are looking for great people to have an even better time with. But first let‘s start with the property and location. The hostel is located in a vibrant area directly at Chaweng Beach. There are three buildings, we stayed at the first one with an incredible view to the sea. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and could have been cleaned everyday on request. Beside of the rooms Lub D offers great possibilities to socialize. They had a ping pong table, beer pong tables, air hockey and a pool table. In addition there are two swimming pools and many cool events everyday. We can totally recommend in joining the pub crawl! All these points were one of the reasons how we ended up enjoying and extending our stay at Lub D. One could have literally stayed all day at the pool, sip a cocktail and order some food. The staff was also super helpful, good mooded and friendly. To sum it up if you ever come to Samui check out this place.

I loved every aspect of this hostel! It’s really clean and very well maintained, the aesthetic is vibrant and inviting and the best part has to be to awesome social vibe, with activities to meet & drink with new people nightly! The location is perfect as well as the bar and pool area back straight onto the beach! A brilliant stay that I would highly recommend to anyone passing through Koh Samui. 5/5 from me.

Good hostel or hotel with pool. Quite new but very expensive compared to other hostels in the area. The beach area is very nice for young people. I would not recommend a family holiday in this hotel. Staff very friendly.

No complaints one of the best hostel I have stayed at. Rooms are cleaned daily, there are three showers per gender on each floor so there is never a need to wait around for you turn. If you are here for a long time the also have washing machines and dryers on the bottom floor

Gorgeous, fun place to stay right on the beach. The dorms have comfy beds and are very private! Shared bathrooms are great. Staff is very fun and friendly. Our server Joe was very attentive and kind :)
