Delightful Island that can be reached on a day trip longtail boat from Thong Krut pier in Taling Ngam village (Ban Thong Krut) for 2000baht for a 4-5 hours rent. The boat can bring over 10+ people and will stop at Koh Tean for some snorkeling too. They provide snorkeling equipment and water. They sell beer but it's expensive so bring your own with ice to chill their cooler boxes. These islands have really nice views, beaches and clear waters, it's definitely worth it. The sea can be rough on windy days so either plan with wind or bring medecine if you are sensitive to seasickness.

Well, a waste of time in my opinion. If you've never had contact with pigs, go to the countryside. Unfortunately, some pigs are overfed by tourists. Unfortunately, this is a very commercial place, it has nothing to do with the pictures from advertisements and catalogs that you know from promotional materials.

A truly amazing place to visit. Where else can get close & personal with a pig on a tropical beach? These pigs sure do have a great life.

Don't come to this tourist trap! The island is trashy, they throw the rubbish away to the island. Pigs are thirsty and overfeeded by stupid tourists. Avoid this place! Thailand shouldn't be using animals into this purpose and not keeping the island in good condition. I hope it will stop one day.

Great day out. The island it’s self is good with the pigs and the stunning beach. There is no snorkelling on this island, but they have a bar restaurant. Kayaking if it’s part of your tour. The pigs also are not originally wild, the story about how a local man saw them being mistreated at a market and rescued them is on a big sign near the toilets. Tour guide don’t really tell you any information, you just get on a boat taken out to snorkel at a different island (there is not much to see) they feed the fish so it attracts them but that’s it. It’s a great to get the ocean for a swim. Then you come here to pig island. Really chilled relaxing day. Enjoying the pigs running around and you can also buy food for 50Baht to feed the pigs. They have baby pigs and adults pigs. Overall highly recommended.

No, no, no. Definitely not worth the visit. You get there, see many pigs, are offered to buy pig food for 50 baht to feed them and that’s it. It doesn’t smell nice and the toilets are a no-go. Please, save yourself some time (and money). If you wanna see pigs go to a farm… Not worth the visit

Very nice little island. There is just one little bar where you can grab some drinks and also buy food for the pigs (50 Baht). At least 20+ pigs are running around including a couple of piglets. The pigs are very cute and always come to you to be cuddled.

One of the best day trip from Samui. Clean pristine beaches, real paradise. Funny interaction with pigs, dogs, chicken and other animals living on island. There is a small bar too.

Echt schade.

Ko Tan- Ko MadSum is a lovely Place!❤ Ko Tan Is just a small island Only a few hundred meters To the northwest of Koh Samui. Able to travel in by Rent a long tail boat from Koh Samui's embankment fishing village. There is a small local village on Ko Tan, but there are no roads or cars, it is a very beautiful island with peaceful nature. There are shallow coral reefs off the coast in some places. As you can see corals, shellfish and small fish. A little further south of Ko Tan is Ko Madsum. It takes about 30 minutes to get here. By long tail boat Long sandy beaches and coconut trees lined up. This place is very popular. Of Thai day tourists or overnight camping at the beach. Ko Tan and Ko Madsum😇❤❤ Right now is not much going on in The island, really want people to go see it before it changing to the Big Hotel! Sad Story but is true😭

The island looks pretty touristy. Many pigs on the island. People seem to just come here for photo purposes. There were many pigs all around, and they seem to be familiar with the vibe. Nothing much to do here except chilling and photographing. I think they do sell alcohol too.

Lovely island. Lots of litter. Pigs are cared for and although they get touched no one is allowed to pick them up. Boat tours are reasonable priced with good lunch included. Would reccomend a half day visit here

It's a lovely island well worth checking out for its beauty and vibes. Less pigs than I thought and they don't seem very keen on being active. So don't bank on it being piglets swimming in the water every time.

I got bit by a pig and had to get a tetanus and rabies shot. The piglets and puppies were cute but not worth wasting a day at the hospital for

The island itself is really nice to just chill out on, nice calm sea with white sandy beaches.. loads of pigs, piglets and puppies running around which is pretty fun.. it is also nice to see all the tourist giving the pigs bottles of water and feeding them.. would recommend visiting this island via Thong Krut Pier (longtail boat) managed to get there and back for 1000 baht for two people (joined another boat with two others) highly recommend visiting for a few hours

We went here via Thong Krut Pier where we paid 500 baht each to get on the boat, we were a group of 4. If you are less people then it will cost more but could probably bargain with them. The island itself is a nice little island and have to pay 50 baht each for maintenance, toilets etc. Pigs all looked healthy and well looked after. The sea was clear and nice and calm to swim in.

15 minutes from thong Krut pier. We say a pig family, coral beach, view point and beautiful beach. Forget pigs and go for the beach. There is a restaurant you can get food and chill n d beach. Coral island is beautiful with many washed corals white colour diff beautiful experience. You can spend up to 1 hour to whole day here.

Pig island experience was fun. Azure color ocean around the island to sunbathe and a small bar where you can order drinks and snacks. You can also buy dog and Pig food to fee the animals.

Cutest little island with puppies and pigs, good snorkel spots near the island too

Please bring water for the pigs and don't forget the little puppies and their mums. Everyone brought food but it soon became obvious that all the animals were really thirsty and didn't have any drinking water at the time. Other than that, the pigs were in good condition and the island is pretty. Worth a visit!

AVOID KOH SAMUI TOURS (tour done in early Jan 2024) Pretty awful experience, wasted afternoon, too expensive, very touristy. DO NOT RECOMMEND! I tried to leave a review on their website but they delete anything less than a 4* READ ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS!

Great experience to go and see pig Island. All the animals looked well fed and well looked after on our visit

Nothing special, pigs are cute and walk around the tables, but bar itself and the island are very neglected, the sand is littered with feces and there is nothing to do here. Unfortunately, this is a very commercial place, it has nothing to do with the pictures from advertisements and catalogs that you know from promotional materials.

We took a tour, booked on Koh Samui for 900 baht for the day where we visited multiple islands and snorkelled before travelling to this Pig Island, definitely worth the trip!

We arrived early and were the first for at least a full hour before other boats started arriving. The water is warm, and the sand is soft. 500 baht is to be paid at the bar. Bathrooms were simple, but they had soap to wash your hands and were clean. The piggies big and small were cute, of course, and pretty much mind their own business. The hoard of dogs, on the other hand, followed you everywhere and smelled, so I wished the people who run the island would call them back and keep them away from the guest who are trying to enjoy the beach without having them licking our legs and following everywhere. Also if they are charging to enter the island they should at least try and clean up some of the garbage and glass on the sand. I'd rater pay more that risk cutting myself and having to feel like I'm walking in a dump.

Not really very interesting although highly promoted on many tour itineraries. Pig Island is a very tourist overloaded trashy beach island off the south coast of Koh Samui. Not going there only means you won't see a dozen black-haired hogs of various sizes wandering around the shaded overcrowded dining area. If your tour includes snorkeling, this will be the highlight.

Total scam...the pigs were not orgi ally fro.the Island They were brought there by some one. Too many tourist over priced for what they offer. The snorkeling and kayaking was pitiful. Was about disappointed with the experience

[AKA Pig Island] Went as part of a tour. Nice enough for a couple of hours. Fun if you want to see the pigs. Water sports and food available.

So happy to visit a Pig island, nice and cleaned beaches. Love the nature here. Trekking to the viewpoint is nice too. Too easy to get there with local tour. People are so nice and warm welcome. I visited during Covid19, it was the quiet time in entire year.

The famous 'Pig island'. Not really worth your hard earned Bath for the pigs. The island though is nice, has a sandy beach and some insta friendly photo opportunities - if you're into that.
