In
short:
Very
damp
and
cold
rooms.
Staff
were
extremely
helpful
in
trying
to
find
solutions,
but
we
still
cancelled
our
8-night
stay.
We
walked
into
a
freezing
cold
and
DAMP
room.
The
walls
were
damp
and
the
sheets
and
blankets
as
well.
Terrible
conditions
for
sleeping.
The
room
was
extremely
small,
dark
from
tinted
windows
and
unwelcoming,
not
to
mention
the
pea-sized
balcony.
We
shut
the
air
conditioner
off.
We
came
back
a
few
hours
later
and
it
was
no
better.
The
room
had
no
chance
to
warm
up
or
to
dry
out.
It
felt
like
a
dark,
cold
cave.
We
brought
this
to
the
attention
of
the
staff.
They
showed
us
two
more
rooms,
and
they
were
the
same.
Damp
walls,
damp
bedding.
Ice
cold
air.
We
went
back
to
reception,
and
they
sent
a
mechanic
to
"take
a
look
at
the
air
conditioner".
We
then
were
suggested
to
set
it
to
28
degrees
celsius,
rather
than
the
standard
of
15
(WHAT??),
but
the
air
that
came
out
was
still
very
cold.
Shutting
it
off
didn't
prove
to
help
either
as
humidity
only
increased,
and
it
didn't
warm
up
anyway.
We
went
back
to
reception
the
next
morning.
They
offered
to
upgrade
us
to
a
sea-view
room.
It
was
bigger,
and
had
a
view,
but
it
was
damp
and
cold.
The
manager
was
kind
enough
to
meet
with
us
and
offer
us
a
50%
refund,
even
though
we
booked
through
agoda
under
a
non-refundable
policy.
(our
mistake,
and
our
loss).
The
staff
attended
to
our
requests
and
provided
different
solutions,
some
which
might
have
pleased
other
guests,
but
really
weren't
worth
it
for
us.
In
the
end,
we
are
relieved
that
we
could
get
a
partial
refund.
It's
a
shame
that
the
age
of
the
building
is
showing
like
it
is.
Also,
the
rooms
didn't
show
signs
of
mold,
they
might
have
all
been
painted
over.
--
But
all
over
the
rest
of
the
hotel,
there
are
massive,
growing
spots
of
black
and
green
mold
on
the
walls
and
ceilings.
The
staff
were
more
than
kind
and
helpful,
but
the
building
needs
a
lot
of
attention.
