This is Merrit life Café, not the vegan life café Wanted to go to the next-door place after seeing those pictures on Google Maps, and accidentally came here instead because the name is so similar. I walked over to next-door afterwards to confirm my suspicion that I was at the wrong place, but it was too late I had already ordered food. The food wasn't terrible, but nothing that special, still a nice few, but I don't like that this place seems like they're taking advantage of the more popular Life café that was there first.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Merit Resort Samui and I have to say, it didn't disappoint. The location is ideal, nestled comfortably between Chaweng and Lamai beaches, making it a perfect spot for beach lovers. The view from the rooms and the on-site restaurant is nothing short of spectacular, giving you a real sense of being immersed in nature. Speaking of the rooms, they're quite snug and comfortable with a homey touch. They've got baths and terraces too, perfect for those late-night relaxation sessions or early morning coffee moments. I was pleasantly surprised to find the resort in good condition despite it not being the newest around, which says a lot about the management's dedication to maintenance. The Thai breakfasts served here are worth waking up early for. The flavors are authentic and are a great start to your day. I also enjoyed the fitness center and yoga room, both of which overlook the sea, giving you an inspiring backdrop for your workout. And let's not forget the clean, well-maintained pool - an ideal spot to cool off or unwind. Overall, it's a gem of a place to stay.

Ok situated. Maintanence not very good. Always something or the other... Sometimes no drinking water in room, sometimes no pool towels. Staff was more over friendly, but I didn't get the feeling that they were trying their best to make my stay comfortable. We tried to order dinner to the room, but the owner told us kitchen closes at 19:00 o'clock (!). Next door food (Vikasa) was truly great. Will probably not come back to Merit....

The view from the small and locally run cafe/restaurant/front desk is stunning. The staff are friendly, kind & accommodating. The rooms are a decent size, functional & you get two bottles of water every day. Main cons - a lot of steep stairs, which are hard to navigate in the rain & heat. But at least they are safe, compared to the neighbouring hotel Vikasa. The pool while large is cloudy at times. There's also a few areas of the hotel that are run down in parts and a bit of rubbish around. Although you have a gym which is nice. Decent air conditioning in the rooms & there's a small mini mart, bike rental & massage place across the road where you get decent & honest prices. There is a small beach, but it's mainly rocky, better to visit the beaches nearby if you want to swim. I'm thankful to the guys who helped me with my bags & the lovely staff who gave me an iced drink after navigating the stairs on a particularly hot & wet morning. Thank you.

Amazing noodles! In hard times as covid-19 putting many resorts on their knees, there are those who do the most of things and manage to adapt! With an impressive view, serving amazing noodles it's not surprising it's packed here every day for lunch. It's not every day you receive such a well displayed bowl of noodles and not have to add anything because it's perfect from the beginning. Highly recommended!

Awesome views. For a wellness cafe, the menu could have more healthy options. The food was tasty though. The service though was EXCELLENT - particularly at the end when after we paid the bill, a nice big storm arrived and we’d idiotically left our umbrellas in the car. The waiting staff, on seeing this was very kind to walk us to our car with umbrellas. Will definitely go back. 👏🏻
