Incredible. Our most favorite accommodation we’ve ever stayed at. This will be the highlight of our honeymoon trip. Bungalows are spacious and stunning. The private pool is so nice, directly outside of your room is a infinity pool looking out to some very beautiful sights of the gulf of Thailand. Pool seem to be chlorine free and extremely fresh. This is the one place where online photos don’t do it enough justice. Customer service was second to none and the food here is so so good. You’re lucky if you are able to stay here, do not miss out on this!

Amazing rooms and beautiful large terraces! I'm not easily impressed, but couldn't name anything to change about these villas. Each one comes with a good size private pool and some levels also have outdoor spas as well. The showers have hand held nozzles as well as multiple rain showers (an oversized tub as well).The staff is amazing and will take action to meet your personal needs.Your personal villa host can arrange reservations, transportation or anything else you might need. Their own private beach has free snorkel gear, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and even a hobycat, a beach bar and staff to keep you hydratedin the Thai sun. Breakfast was varied and of pretty good quality. Even includes some bubbles, which are a bit sweet but a nice touch! Definitely will return! Thank you for an amazing stay.

We had a great time at the Banyan tree Samui. The staff are very nice and helpful. The room was great and the in-villa pool was amazing with exceptional view. We got upgraded to the wellness villa which comes with a whirlpool in addition to the regular pool, and it was grand to have during the colder days.

Exceptional! Stunning views, the warmest people, delicious food, a beautiful private beach, and a villa that supersedes all expectations! We had the best time with my husband. The villa was amazing, the service just the best, the Standort was a bit not closed. To get to some locations/spots we needed to take a driver, but was still fine. Definitely the best hotel on the island.

The Banyan Tree Samui is a stunning 5* resort, which we enjoyed in the second week of our honeymoon in Thailand. The pool villas are outstanding and spacious with a large terrace, dining area, sunbathing area and large pool as well as all the modern amenities you would expect. The dining facilities are all superb, especially Saffron which is their fine dining, breakfast buffet was very good particularly the eggs benedict and pastries/cakes. The grounds and private beach are stunning and the views from our ocean view villa unforgettable, the wildlife and trees/plants on site are enchanting. I can also highly recommend the experiences (we had a celebratory beachside meal for 2) and the world class spa where we had multiple massages/facials. The only very slight blip was the service which was friendly & helpful but not quite at the same 5* deluxe level as other Banyan Tree properties and therefore a little reactive to guest needs, but there were still certain staff who exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended for a wonderful, top class holiday.

I recently stayed at this resort/ hotel and it was absolutely the best getaway experience I have ever had. The staff were very assisting and helpful, the environment is beautiful and well taken care of, and the beach and restaurants are amazing! I was very impressed!

This was our best experience ever in terms of resorts. I stayed here with my family and the service was oustanding. The villa was great and all facilities and amenities were wonderful. They treated everyone of us so special like we were the only guests. The staff was super friendly and they surprised us with special arrangements and a cake to my baby who was turning to 1 year old. All arrangements and the exceptional welcoming and hosting was done by "Nan" who was so great and words can not describe how wonderful she was.

The most stunning location set amongst a private cove. We went for a ‘partial sea view villa’ which included a large infinity pool. All of the staff were exceptional, especially the villa hosts. We highly recommend paying extra for a resort like this, as it’s SO unique.

A very rocky start… As part of the banyan tree private collection, we are fortunate to have visited and stayed at many banyan trees across the region. And I have to say the check in and reception we received at samui were really disappointing. We were initially assigned partial ocean view villa as the other categories were full at the time of booking. But upon arrival we asked if they still have ocean view/hill top villa available since the membership entitles you to a range of villa (<600usd) options. They suggested that there are rooms but we would need to pay extra for the upgrade. I tried to explain that we can choose from a range of villas and should not require a top up. And all of a sudden the ocean view villa became “unavailable”. We had to speak with the manager on duty and really wasted almost an hour of our time at check in. Eventually they managed to “find” a room for us but this experience is really quite appalling. From the up selling to no room to manage to find something. As a member you will think you are a valued customer but this experience begs to differ. It’s not pleasant and is not in line with the overall brand and level of service that banyan tree prides itself. I hope the stay will get better as we had high expectations for samui.

Excellent beach villas with the best of service and amenities. High tech television systems in each of the rooms in the villas, rain showers, mood lighting systems, around the clock concierge, privacy and plenty of space between each villa. Made to be enjoyed in villa and not easily walkable, call the concierge to come pick you up and drive you around. Little detailed touches includes personal new toiletries including toothbrushes, fresh fruit, mini bar with Expresso machine, indoor slippers, outdoor flipflops, robes, bath salt kits, umbrella for the rain, and work/desk station. Wifi is for work but fast enough to stream movies. TV channels are mostly Thai but has BBC and a few English channels. Basically you don't lift a finger here, they'll come and do everything for you but you'll have to wait about 5 min for them to drive the cart up to your villa.

This is a truly stunning hotel/resort both in terms of setting and location, and in terms of service. Nothing was too much trouble, and every detail was taken care of. The room (actually a villa) was amazing, and had everything you could possibly need, with stunning views, absolute privacy, a great sun deck, and fabulous private pool. We could have quite happily spent our entire time at the villa. The Saffron restaurant was top class, with the other places to eat of a very high standard. They also accommodated exceptionally well for my wife's gluten and lactose intolerances at every meal. We were there over the Christmas period and New Year, and attended the New Year gala dinner and celebrations, which were fabulous and highly recommended if you are there over that period. This is the first hotel/resort I've ever said I would go back to in a heart-beat. It has to experienced to really be appreciated what an amazing place it is to visit.

We stayed at Banyan Tree Ko Samui for 4 days as our second hotel for our Asian honeymoon. Each villa is private and the view from the balcony over the sea is just incredible. It’s on the hills (for the view) so you basically gotta use buggy service to move around this hotel. Spa was on of the best, attention to detail and the service was top notch. People here are naturally so friendly, makes us feel very welcomed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for exceptional time and services worth the money

The most amazing place I've been to. Exceptional service. The villa was spacious and all the services in it were of a high standard. We had a romantic dinner at the entrance to the hotel and also dinner in the villa. Both meals are excellent as well as the breakfast. We used the service of a yoga class and it was great.

This hotel is a 5* plus experience - From start to Finnish. We stayed for 6 days in an ocean pool villa and we had an amazing time! The staff is super friendly, the resort is absolutely beautiful and the service was amazing! Food is tasty and our villa host took extremely good care of us. Positive: - the entire Staff - Location - Food - Villa - Beach - Spa - Overall experience could be improved: - Gym could use an upgrade - Storage in the villa is limited Overall a clear recommendation!!!

Despite the fact that the resort is relatively large, depending on which villa you are staying in, it is not a problem to get around the resort by walk. We stayed in villa C02, which is right next to the hotel parking lot. Considering that we had borrowed a scooter, it was the best location for us. The villa is spacious, it was always clean and tidy. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The choice of food for breakfast was sufficient. The staff were friendly, always trying to fulfill our requests. Due to the fact that the hotel was probably fully booked, the service in the restaurants took quite a long time, especially during dinner. The host of the villa was accommodating and always tried to fulfill our requests. We would gladly return to the hotel in the future and recommend it to our friends.

A magical place indeed! Stayed there for three nights and really enjoyed every single night! We booked the Hill side villa and worth every penny spent! The service is exceptional and we had Beauty as our guest relation manager and she was just amazing. They have great attention to detail and I truly believe you can’t go wrong with this place. Few things that can be done better: Despite the villa and its location is just wow…the rooms do not feel warm and neither do they reflect the island vibe like the Four Seasons does for example. They feel more of a city like design which happens to sit on a cliff and a view of the sea and the little jungle. As for the breakfast, most options are Thai / Asian cuisine. While it is yummy, I do feel it can be seen as a heavy option for people coming from abroad from places outside of east and south east Asia. Therefore, a wider variety would have been nicer. Overall, great place and highly recommended!

We had an amazing experience at the Banyan Tree. The hotel views are stunning and the villas broke all our expectations. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, specially our villa host Abby, she was always happy to help. I can’t recommend the hotel more, it has a couple of small details to improve to take it to the level of a Four Seasons, but not even worth mentioning.

I have stayed at many places at Koh Samui. Banyan Tree is the best - it is absolutely beautiful. Modern rooms with a great layout on a single floor. Fantastic pool with jacuzzi and ocean views (I recommend getting a room with an ocean view). Lovely surrounding nature. Abby and the team were absolutely delightful.

We got the ocean view pool villa, the room was clean, the view was amazing, pool and balcony were super clean. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Beach and service at the beach as well as the restaurant were great! Location may seem far for those who like to explore the town, we stayed in the resort for the entire time and really enjoyed our time.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience! Everyone I've interacted at the resort was very caring and thoughtful! Had a great time on the beach with their complimentary snorkeling/kayak/paddle boat and also the spa experience was great! Special Thanks to my villa host Golf for making all of this happen!

We had the most relaxing and wonderful stay at the Banyan Tree Koh Samui for our honeymoon, we only wish we were there for longer! From the moment we stepped foot into the resort, we were immediately greeted with welcome drinks and the friendliest staff! Our villa host Gigi and the resort team always made sure we were taken care of, the service and hospitality was truly second to none. We had the partial ocean view villa and it had a beautiful view, was well-maintained, and extremely clean and comfortable. During our stay, we enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet and loved relaxing by the pool and beach and doing more active activities such as kayaking, snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding, and everything in between. The resort also has scheduled activities that you can partake in throughout the day, ranging from cooking classes to nature walks to the spa. We couldn’t be more happy to have chosen the Banyan Tree to celebrate our honeymoon. Thanks for the incredible memories, we already can’t wait to be back one day!

Amazing hotel, super friendly staff. Grocery store (Lotus Market) and local restaurants short taxi ride away. Wonderful breakfast with great view of the water and greenery. Rooms were great, cleaned twice a day. Great experience to have private pool. Has Kids club,can drop off kids.

Absolutely delighted to stay here😊😍☺️. One of the best view of the ocean from the room. Excellent villa with big personal pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast is one of the best buffet I have seen and experienced 😌😍🥰. The staffs are super friendly and the buggy staff are amazingly friendly too. Abby who assisted me the first day to enter our villa made our stay amazing by a lotus flower 🪷 ritual which I loved and the place itself out of this world. Must stay and we are looking forward to visit there soon 😌😍 All the staff are so so good. Even after our checkout we we’re hanging by the beach and lobby and they provided us with buggy service even . Even the staff from the beach cafe offered us ice cream and snacks what an amazing service. And honestly we were blown by this great hospitality 😍

Banyan Tree resort was amazing, their guest service was top notch. Gigi who was assigned to us as villa host was very attentive & took care of all our needs. Ride to each villa requires a golf cart which is an awesome ride by itself with many twist & turns on a winding roads as they go up to your villa. Beach is very private with options to snorkel, paddle board or kayak. They have a good restaurant on the beach to cater to your food needs as well. Room is fantastic with a great ocean view & an infinity pool, jacuzzi and areas with bean bag and sofas to watch sunrise and sunset.

This is an absolutely first-rate resort. The villas are amazing, and the setting is incredible, with views over the sea and luxurious touches everywhere. Special recognition goes to our villa host, Chan, who was so helpful with any request, and always did her best to make sure we had a great experience. She is a gem! We also enjoyed a dinner at Saffron, which was excellent, with a refined Thai tasting menu.

One of the best hotel I’ve ever visited. Staffs are very gentle and kind, they are all well trained and empathy that I can feel. Superb experience in this luxurous hotel. Amazing stay in the luxurious rooms with an amazing view to the sea. Rooms are very clean, the service of the hotel was spectacular. Negative points: check in is too long (aprox. 10-15min), you also have to do a quite long online check in online so at the end you spend double time than necessary. The rest was just spectacular.

Villa extremely good, you can stay in and don't go out. Spa, very good. Service, very prompt and friendly. The only thing that not ideal is food. Only 2 restaurants, the Saffron is good, but the other one so-so. But Atmosphere of all restaurants ate all good. So you eat the view rather than the food.

Service and experience of this place has been amazing! Staff is over the top friendly, rooms are clean, and the food and drinks are unbeatable. Might be overpriced when looking st other resorts in the area and kind of hard to get off property if looking to explore the town. Gated entrance and long road make it a requirement to call for rides and not easy to just walk out to explore. We were on our honeymoon so staying on resort was perfectly fine with us. + Good view on the villa. Spacious and bright. So green territories. - 1. Service. Service. Service. They allocated us on the villa A11 which is between two other villas which is under renovation and there was so noisy and no privacy as the workers was around all the time. 2. I was asking to get me a bike 🏍 but they said that we have to go and find ourselves. FYI to walk to the nearest bike rental shop is around 1km by the road. Outside +35 a bit hot actually. 3. Waiting time for the buggy car 10 minutes…. Seriously 😐 4. Staff speaking English so so bad. We tried to call to the reception with the purpose to ask them adjust the temperature in our pool. They tried to understand several times what do we need. In the end they sent two guys who completely don’t understand what to do. 5. Spa. Nice in general but overpriced for Thai. 9000 THB for two it’s a bit much for Thailand. 6. Beachfront a bit uncared. So many leaves 🍃 which not looks nice. In general the hotel is fine for few days but in my opinion not worth the price.

I am glad I picked this hotel. It just stood out. The hotel facility’s and staff were amazing. The guide of the hotel was incredible as he took us sight seeing around the island. The luxury villas were amazing and the views fascinating. It was the best choice I ever made booking here.

Took the chance to have a family ocean pool villa and was not disappointed. The place is quite frankly heaven. Tips. Take an east facing room to magical sunsets. Do use the free beach stuff inc paddle boards and a little boat. The place to spa is here. Although 20 percent more than anywhere else the quality and facilities are insane.

Our honeymoon stay here was absolute perfection. The villas were beautiful and the service was impeccable. What really blew us away was the beach though…it’s perfectly calm with no waves! We did not realize how relaxing that would be for swimming. We will absolutely be back.
