Unexpected surprise. A restaurant serving Asian fusion slider buns. Spacious. Hygienic. Friendly staff. We waited around 45mins for the ordered food to be served. Glad they were tasty. The buns were super soft and fluffy but in the size of a slider. It's easy to eat at least two per person. Love the sichuan eggplant. Hot and flavorful. Worth a try.

Asian fusion dishes. Great vibe with a green area at the back. The place is spacious with natural air. The foods are creative but the tastes are average. Infused water is what unique here. I parked in front of the place along the roadside but not sure whether they have any dedicated parking space.

Great food in a nice relaxed setting. When you want a bit of change from Thai food, this is a great place for some Baos and other dishes from SEA.

Amazing authentic place for modern pan Asian food with interesting mixes. The place based on Bao options but they have a great options for regular dishes. I decided to start with Green curry pumpkin soup and Eggplants tapas. Soup is great but quit hot in Thai style. Eggplants I didn’t like. But it’s personal opinion. Coffee were good and non-dairy milk options available. Next time would like to try their Bao.

Wow the food here is on the next level, best I have had in Thailand to date. Amazing array of comfy seating, spacious, a beautiful garden and excellent service complete with a service buzzer. Highly recommended!! We had a shared Bento bowl and were blown away.

Words can't describe how good. Shrimp mango is a must. Make sure to have plenty of time. Restaurant is a bit understaffed and food might take little bit of time.

Super tasty food, especially their signature Baos - mini buns with various filings. Also, great fresh (squeezed) juices. Very efficient staff and quick service. Their tablet - based menu shows pictures of all the dishes, and the actual food is really as in the picture.

Best fusion food place in Samui (...perhaps one of the best in TH?) Many creative bao/burger-bun to choose from. We teied the shrimp and chicken kimchi, love both! Dumlling and wonton are also good. Cold salad (sona+edamame) is great as well. Deep fried bao with ice cream is good choice as a dessert. (Sad that we missed the coffee... but next time in Samui, we'll try for sure!) The place has a feeling of cafeteria, very airy and quite big open-air with cieling fans (no air-con.) Staff is super nice and attentive. Price is right. Portion is not big. Must try place!

Beautiful restaurant with a wide variety of menu items. We tried a selection, and would recommend the dumplings, ribs, shrimp and mango bao and the soft shell crab bao especially.

Excellent food offering the favorite dishes that the French owners experienced on their travels around Asia, with an emphasis on Baos of course. Also offer high end cocktails - I enjoyed an excellent Japanese Ki No Bi Gin & Tonic with my meal. The manager was very nice and gracious, apologizing things took longer than usual as several staff were new that day - however we didn’t feel like we had to wait that long. Lovely atmosphere, with low key romantic lighting and a garden area - but didn’t go there in case mosquitos at night. I’d definitely go back. Add to your list if staying in the area.

Very delicious food and nice staff! Overall a very good concept, with everything freshly made. It’s worth the money and much more. The interior is also very nice.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The portions and item sizes seemed perfectly good to me. The flavours were well designed and the presentation too notch. Really good for something a bit different on Samui.

I already want to go back, the food was soooo good! We got the bento burger box with sweet potato fries (kinda wish we'd picked something different for the side but they weren't bad!) And then got the shrimp and mango bao, the kimchi and fried chicken bao, and the short rib small plate. Everything was delicious but my favorites were the short rib and the barbecue burger bao! I could eat those everyday for the rest of my life and be very happy! The owner and manager are both french and the manager spoke perfect English and was very friendly and helpful. I also had a ginger lime whiskey sour which was also delicious!

This Asian fusion restaurant is absolutely awesome! The bao burgers they serve are incredibly scrumptious, and their selection of yummy sherbets for dessert is simply delightful. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere that creates a cozy and inviting dining experience. Don't miss out on this fantastic spot if you're craving some mouthwatering Asian fusion cuisine!

I love the creativity to combine asian dish with other cusines. (You will love this restaurant if you like taking foodie photo) Using buns to as a burger buns instead gives new experience which you never knew before. However, the taste is so so.

Very nice layout of restaurant and the food is presented very well. Food was overall delicious, the only complaint is they just kept playing only 1 song inside the restaurant. Over and over again. Song is now stuck in my head for rest of the day 😂

10 stars! What an amazing little find a short walk from our hotel. We stopped in here to have a coffee and snack and we’re blown away by the amazing food & ambiance! Amazingly fresh, pillow soft & full of flavor boa (we had chicken, soft shell crab and pulled pork), fried wantons didn’t have a lot of filling but were crunchy and tasty. Iced coffee & iced caramel latte were both spot on and the banana smoothie was good (but lacking banana flavor). There is indoor & outdoor seating, free wifi and overall a very relaxed feel. To finish off the visit we had a refreshing ginger whisky sour that was quite refreshing. If you are in the area this place is worth a stop…you will not be disappointed!!

Absolutely great flavors - ordered the seared tuna pineapple mayonnaise bao and the fried shrimp mango bao. Green curry pumpkin soup was also very good. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great cafe in the Mae Nam area!

Excellent place to stay hungry while paying a lot. Looks fancy and clean inside, but got very upset since their meals are very tiny and you'd have to order a lot to get some satisfaction in your stomach. My soup did not even arrive on our table although it was my main goal of trying it there. Disappointed. On top of that, they only accept cash.

It feels almost impossible to describe the amazing experience we had at this restaurant. This was the first time we’ve taken our 7 week old baby out since his birth because of covid and we found the perfect place for him. Bao Bao Cafe has a great space and we were able to pick a table in the back to have plenty of room for a newborn and all the items they require. The food was next level; we are a family of vegans and omnivores and everyone was able to find many items in the menu they loved. And most importantly, the staff was very kind, open and accommodating— we felt so welcomed. We will certainly be back here and our only regret is not finding this gem sooner.

Very nice service. Very friendly and welcoming. Large space and well aired. Food is good. The wonton starter was great. Very good flavour. I would say the baos with fried chicken inside or fried prawn are best (the prawn with mango and the chicken kimchi). Flavour was great in both. (The Beef burger was ok and so was the chicken teriyaki). The lemonades are not so exciting. They are just flavoured water really. If you want to try it go for a regular size as the large size is a carafe. Or share a large size.

Wonderful ambiance and most excellent and creative dishes. The Bao Bao cocktails are delicious and made with proper quality spirits and mixing techniques. Large multi-level dining room. Offers group dinning or a quiet intimate table next to the stunning outdoor garden. Plenty of parking and easy to find in Maenam. On the main road, inland side just passed Family Mart.

We found this gem, completely by accident but it absolutely exceeded any expectations! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, staff is friendly and helpful but the food... the food is amazing!! We ordered 7 dishes + 2 desserts, because we thought the portions will be tapas size, but the portions were very generous for the price you pay! We are definitely coming back here and recommending it to anyone visiting Samui! Kudos to the owner on the menu, design and staff!!!
