Amazing place/food/customer service!! I’m going there regularly now and I’m always amazed at the food but not just the food, the main waitress/owner of the place. She and her mom (which is the cook) work very hard to make this place amazing and they have a lot of repeat customers. I’m just really thankful to have stumbled there because it’s what you can call a COMFORT PLACE. The food is fresh, not pricey, served with a big smile 😃. I have to say I really liked this traditional Thai food restaurant. Tasty food which was really flavourful and natural. Staff were really friendly and I loved the fact that it was an open kitchen so you could see your food being cooked.

Great, warm and welcoming service here. This is a family run business where the traditional Thai food is cooked by the owner, Thida’s own mum. Loved the mango and pineapple shakes here, as well as a the sukiyaki. I came here several times and would highly recommend making a visit. Very reasonably priced and Thida speaks very good English if you have any dietary requirements.

The food tastes good. I think it's suitable for foreigners. Because it's not spicy. Good atmosphere, comfortable seating. Friendly staff. Food is prepared quickly.

A famous place in Samui. All in Tom Yum style using lime juice. No umami taste as it has no MSG.

Best food I’ve had so far in Ko Samui

As you know Samui is a very expensive tourist destination, so everything including the normal “cheap” Thai food is quite pricey here. The owner and her daughter are very sweet and polite people but they took time to serve the food per plate a bit too long for us to like and the tasted was nothing special, if anything I was actually quite disappointed. 😕 I’d still give them a 4 star because we had a lovely chat with them minus -1 ⭐️ because of the price and tasted.

Have some good vegan options. Ordered the sweet & sour with two extra portions of tofu, which I can definitely recommend. It’s sometimes difficult to get a lot of protein as a vegan here — so having an extra portion of tofu for 20baht makes me happy

Fantastic! Our favorite restaurant on Koh Samui. Very cheap an absolutely delicious. The owner and the staff are so friendly. Our favorite papaya-salad, our favorite morning glory and so on. The seafood/pork soup is amazing. They speak very good english. I highly recommend it! Many vegetarian options on the menu, too! 😊

The best Thai food restaurant at Lamai. My husband and I have tried crab dumpling, deep fried samui bun, stir fried sukiyaki with seafood and pad thai with seafood and I really don’t know which dish I liked the most. Place looks really nice, the stuff is super friendly and the prices are reasonable. Also, we had great breakfast here for several times, it isn’t on the menu, but you can ask them to make you an eggs (with vegetables), bring you a toast with butter and jam. Their coffee and smoothies / fresh juices are delicious. All in all, after 2 weeks in Lamai, for me this restourant is one of the best here.

Ate here a few times now and plan to keep returning whilst I'm in Lamai. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, even remembering your name! Food is all so tasty and very well priced, 100% give this place a try if you're in the area.

Where do I even start; Dara Kitchen is probably one of my favourite restaurants in Thailand At one point we went 3 days in a row, and twice in one day! Food is top-notch and the custom service is legendary I hope I get to visit more in the future

The best place for having Thai food in Lamai! Everything is just delicious! They don't use MSG and serve preferably Thai food, which is cooked really good; seafood tastes very fresh and properly cooked. Spring rolls are just wonderful - they say that it's cooked following a traditional familiy recipe. Staff are very friendly and speak English very well. The place itself is clean and modern. I recommend to try the pancakes and variety of fresh juices and cocktails. Thank you Dara and the team!

Came on a rainy day ended up eating too much!!! The quality of their foods and services were liked 5 star hotel. Quite crowded even on rainy day. There's a cute big eye and friendly lady who can speak good english. Must try their deep fried samui bun and mix seafood & pork soup. And the best way to taste thai milk tea is with ice...No msg too...

Fresh pressed juices are the star of the show here, and a good deal if you buy two. The food is tasty and the owners are so sweet. I personally think the food is a bit overpriced but I keep going back for the friendly service.

We would recommend a visit to Dara Kitchen! We visited a couple of months back and then returned to samui and came back to Daras! The food is so delicious and we've been back numerous times!
