We came there as highly recommended by a friend. The cocktails were quite good but pricey. The vegan plates served were however failed to meet our expectations. The plating was fine but the food was not tasty at all. The only things we liked were the fried sweet potato and stacked eggplants. The most disappointing was the gnocchi. Only eight small pieces for a main dish were ridiculous and mean. This restaurant was only good to impress friends for the ability to spend but nothing else.

We had a staycation here for 5 days before we decided to take the buzzling Bangkok and Chiangmai for the Yipeng and Krathong festival. And man twas the best decision we ever made. The views in this stay is so serene, so peaceful. It is a perfect place for getting away from the city and clearing off your mind. Not sure about the other room types but we stayed in a what seems like a big tent with ac and luxurious amenities, we were at the sunrise side so we would wake very early to catch it every single day. There's also a gym and a pool and night view from the pool is stunning. However, would note that u need to walk couple of blocks from your stay to the restaurant, and there are no nearby attractions or restaurants that you can go on foot. Need to rent a bike or car if you plan to explore the island. Although grab works, there is a feud with local taxis you would literally have a hard time booking on if coming from the town proper. so would recommend to do groceries beforehand to stack up your pantry in case u plan to just really hole up the entire stay like we did.

Incredible spot with outstanding views and beautiful decor. We stayed in the tent room and it was very private and peaceful. The customer service was wonderful and we were very well taken care of. The pool was very calm and the whole place had a relaxed chill vibe with lots of nature and comfy lounge spots. The best part was the food! Incredible vegan food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We would love to visit again. Thanks for an amazing trip!

Best views on the island with an incredible pool and lounge area. I stayed in one of their tents and was stunned by the beautiful views and overall set-up. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming that you feel like home immediately so that I extended my stay twice :) Thank you for the wonderful time!

I visited a few weeks ago and this place was perfect as I dont like large crowded resorts. Very good and personal service from the owners, felt like a family vacation. The food served was plant-based Sicilian/Asian dishes. I'm not vegan, but decided to have an open mind about it and actually really enjoyed it. Well cooked, really tasty and creative! The views from my tent were stunning. The early morning sunrise is worth waking up for. I learned quite a few lifestyle hacks from the owner and can honestly say it did improve how I felt day to day. If you're planning to stay here, I would suggest a few weeks or even a month to actually appreciate the place, the diet, the yoga and workouts, etc.

A really magical place from which you can enjoy one of the best view of Samui. The staff is very careful and friendly, always with a smile on their face. The tents are the ideal accommodation if you want to be surrounded by nature, but with all the comforts. Great wifi and fantastic vegan food make Kapuhala a fantastic place where I can't wait to be back.

Halapua by Kapuhala is a restaurant like no others. The food is vegan with an artistic touch, 3 course menu lunch by the pool and generous drinks, also the pool is included and you can eat amazing food and crash by the pool in a very club-style facility. Good job Kapuhala 🎉🎉❤️

The food at Kapuhala is amazing. Creative dishes with sensational tastes. Bring your non-veg friends and show them how good veg/vegan can be!

I had the chance to spend a weekend in the luxury tended villa. It was a beautiful experience. The tended villa is very well designed and has all comforts with private terrace where to enjoy a stunning view. At night you can enjoy moon and stars from your own private balcony. Such a luxury! The swimming pool is a gem and it is great to chill out with a cocktail from the bar Halapua. The restaurant carries the same name and it is a farm-to-table concept with unique dishes. Try polenta! Last but not least, walking around the farm in the morning it is a unique experience, the staff is helpful in providing explanations. The staff cal also organize tours and excursions to combine the Kapuhala experience with a taste of Koh Samui. I will be back soon!

Spectacular view, high confort and friendly service to feel in a special place but like at home. We finally found a place to have an overall experience, nice swimming pool to swim every morning, a very good gym and a restaurant to taste real food with first quality ingredients and creative dishes. Overall it is a unique experience to feel and share with your family or friends and socialise with other guests. We will come back!

As a long time vegan and someone who has been traveling on the Thailand islands for close to 20 years, I have come to expect very little when thinking about the food. While I was never going to starve (there was always fried rice or fruit or a Thai dish that could be easily veganised) it was always going to be a little repetitive (first world problems). However, a stay at Kapuhala made me realize just how incredible vegan food can be on the islands of Thailand. This restaurant (also a 11 room hotel) is situated up the side of a hill with an incredible view overlooking the sea is a must-visit for just a meal or a drink if you are vegan or just someone looking to experience thoughtfully put together and innovative food options. The restaurant and bar here is fully vegan and trying their best to make their food footprint as small as possible by using produce from their garden, reducing single-use plastics and paper as not having breakfast buffets to reduce food waste. The food is priced and served in a way that is in keeping with the hotel. Expect very high quality, higher prices to a more hole in the wall establishment. I have to say that while I saw an opinion on a review that the portions were small, I respectfully disagree. The sizes were hearty and very satisfying. The food features a vegan take on many dishes from all sorts of cuisines including Japanese, Italian, Tex Mex and so much more. Personally I loved the chef’s attempts at making delicious vegan cheeses (including delicious vegan queso which was on my hearty morning hash as well as their vegan cheese platter) and their menu items such as the chickpea pancake with mushrooms and kale. I would recommend a visit for sure and while you might not take a vegan’s word when it comes to food I did overhear a non-vegan visitor compliment the chef and say that after the meal she had she had been researching and looking in eating more vegan food because her experience there was so delicious. She didn;t realise that vegan food could be so good. The passion and enthusiasm by the whole Kapuhala team for this project is simply inspiring and you are sure to enjoy your experience whether for a stay or just for a meal or drink. Come for the food and stay for the view, hospitality and that incredible sea breeze.

We visited Kapuhala's plant based restaurant for dinner and it was incredible! The food was so delicious and filling - and my husband and I are big eaters! The staff were so lovely and welcoming, they took very good care of us. The location has beautiful views and the resort itself is amazing... We only wish were staying there too! Will definitely be back.

Food, view, staff, vibe - all AMAZING. I don't often leave reviews... and I eat plant based food even less! This is really worth it. The lifestyle is really worth a try. I don't do enough exercise, but the gym here screams - "Use me"! Wonderful open ocean view. Worth every dime.

Our stay in a tented villa at at Kapuhala Samui was nothing short of extraordinary. The view from our tent was simply breathtaking, and we couldn't imagine a better backdrop for our getaway. The resort was a paradise for couples, offering a serene and romantic atmosphere that set the stage for a truly memorable experience. The tented villa exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and provided glorious views. On hot days the tent remained cool and dry with air conditioning and a ceiling fan. On rainy nights, we enjoyed the soothing sound of raindrops on the tent, creating a unique and cozy atmosphere. Kapuhala Samui was not only a sanctuary for relaxation but also an ideal spot for remote working. The wifi connection was excellent, allowing us to seamlessly stay connected while enjoying the tranquility of the lush green surroundings. There were also opportunities for fitness and yoga with personalised instruction. Although we are not vegan, we decided to explore the vegan kitchen and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious Sicilian-inspired dishes. The Mushroom Garden was a tasty treat and the caponata was top! Overall, our experience was simply wonderful. From the stunning view to the comfortable accommodations, delightful vegan cuisine, friendly and accommodating staff and serene surroundings, this small resort in Koh Samui exceeded all our expectations. It's a place we would highly recommend to anyone seeking a blissful retreat. We'll certainly be back again (hopefully soon!)
