A really magical place from which you can enjoy one of the best view of Samui. The staff is very careful and friendly, always with a smile on their face. The tents are the ideal accommodation if you want to be surrounded by nature, but with all the comforts. Great wifi and fantastic vegan food make Kapuhala a fantastic place where I can't wait to be back.

Halapua by Kapuhala is a restaurant like no others. The food is vegan with an artistic touch, 3 course menu lunch by the pool and generous drinks, also the pool is included and you can eat amazing food and crash by the pool in a very club-style facility. Good job Kapuhala 🎉🎉❤️

The food at Kapuhala is amazing. Creative dishes with sensational tastes. Bring your non-veg friends and show them how good veg/vegan can be!

Spectacular view, high confort and friendly service to feel in a special place but like at home.
We finally found a place to have an overall experience, nice swimming pool to swim every morning, a very good gym and a restaurant to taste real food with first quality ingredients and creative dishes. Overall it is a unique experience to feel and share with your family or friends and socialise with other guests. We will come back!

Food, view, staff, vibe - all AMAZING. I don't often leave reviews... and I eat plant based food even less! This is really worth it. The lifestyle is really worth a try. I don't do enough exercise, but the gym here screams - "Use me"! Wonderful open ocean view.
Worth every dime.

As a long time vegan and someone who has been traveling on the Thailand islands for close to 20 years, I have come to expect very little when thinking about the food. While I was never going to starve (there was always fried rice or fruit or a Thai dish that could be easily veganised) it was always going to be a little repetitive (first world problems).
However, a stay at Kapuhala made me realize just how incredible vegan food can be on the islands of Thailand. This restaurant (also a 11 room hotel) is situated up the side of a hill with an incredible view overlooking the sea is a must-visit for just a meal or a drink if you are vegan or just someone looking to experience thoughtfully put together and innovative food options.
The restaurant and bar here is fully vegan and trying their best to make their food footprint as small as possible by using produce from their garden, reducing single-use plastics and paper as not having breakfast buffets to reduce food waste.
The food is priced and served in a way that is in keeping with the hotel. Expect very high quality, higher prices to a more hole in the wall establishment. I have to say that while I saw an opinion on a review that the portions were small, I respectfully disagree. The sizes were hearty and very satisfying.
The food features a vegan take on many dishes from all sorts of cuisines including Japanese, Italian, Tex Mex and so much more. Personally I loved the chef’s attempts at making delicious vegan cheeses (including delicious vegan queso which was on my hearty morning hash as well as their vegan cheese platter) and their menu items such as the chickpea pancake with mushrooms and kale.
I would recommend a visit for sure and while you might not take a vegan’s word when it comes to food I did overhear a non-vegan visitor compliment the chef and say that after the meal she had she had been researching and looking in eating more vegan food because her experience there was so delicious. She didn;t realise that vegan food could be so good.
The passion and enthusiasm by the whole Kapuhala team for this project is simply inspiring and you are sure to enjoy your experience whether for a stay or just for a meal or drink. Come for the food and stay for the view, hospitality and that incredible sea breeze.

We visited Kapuhala's plant based restaurant for dinner and it was incredible! The food was so delicious and filling - and my husband and I are big eaters! The staff were so lovely and welcoming, they took very good care of us. The location has beautiful views and the resort itself is amazing... We only wish were staying there too! Will definitely be back.

I had the chance to spend a weekend in the luxury tended villa. It was a beautiful experience. The tended villa is very well designed and has all comforts with private terrace where to enjoy a stunning view. At night you can enjoy moon and stars from your own private balcony. Such a luxury! The swimming pool is a gem and it is great to chill out with a cocktail from the bar Halapua. The restaurant carries the same name and it is a farm-to-table concept with unique dishes. Try polenta! Last but not least, walking around the farm in the morning it is a unique experience, the staff is helpful in providing explanations. The staff cal also organize tours and excursions to combine the Kapuhala experience with a taste of Koh Samui. I will be back soon!

We came there as highly recommended by a friend. The cocktails were quite good but pricey. The vegan plates served were however failed to meet our expectations. The plating was fine but the food was not tasty at all. The only things we liked were the fried sweet potato and stacked eggplants. The most disappointing was the gnocchi. Only eight small pieces for a main dish were ridiculous and mean.
This restaurant was only good to impress friends for the ability to spend but nothing else.
