This place is delicious! We came here 4 times on our trip. Very affordable and friendly staff. There’s a little bit of a wait when they’re busy but it’s definitely worth the wait. I recommend the Papaya salad with chicken satay, pad Thai, yellow curry and mango sticky rice. We tried many other places in the area and nothing compared to Noi!

Low key restaurant at the side of the main road. If you are looking for a tasty meal in a no frills environment, this is a great spot for you. All dishes we ordered were tasty. The staff was friendly and fast. Prices were good for what you get. A plus for families: There is a little kids corner with a few toys.

Family business restaurant with Authentic Thaï cuisine located along the Bangrak beach road. Tasty food and generous portion. From THB 80.- Some western food as well (salad, sandwiches, pasta). Try the green curry or Penang curry with rice and the fried cashew nuts, the Spicy minced salad. Tom Yam Khung, a typical south east dish, a must try! Easy access, you can park right in front. Small kids corner. Clean toilet.

Local Thai food doesn't get any better than this. Prices are great. Great with kids. (owner has a 4 year old age a kids corner set up). Delivery seems to be an option from the to go moped traffic.

I'm usually a huge MIT Samui fan, but as we were staying in Bangarak, this became our daily place. Specially the fresh summer rolls were divine. The banana in coconut with cashews hits the spot in the evenings and the mango sticky rice with homemade coconut ice cream was fantastic on hot days. They also deliver and you can take away no problem. Prices are very fair for the portions. Largest som tum portion I have received on the island. Both myself and my boyfriendly highly recommend this place.. We've had almost everything on the menu and nothing disappointed!! AROY!

Very friendly people and great (and cheap) Thai food. The best we had on Koh Samui! And they also have the best fruit shakes in town...

We happened to be walking past on a hot late morning and thought we'd just grab a drink and sit to rest. Got ourselves Mango shakes (as you do), then opened the menu out of curiosity and decided we order fried rice just for something to eat. The food and drink did not disappoint at all - we were so surprised at how well the fried rice was done and the how delicious the mango shake tasted. Everything was nicely served. So we decided to go back a couple of nights later for dinner. This time we ordered a little more and again we were not disappointed. The food was simply delicious. The pricing is good for the area where most restaurants are priced no different to any restaurant in a western country. While still slightly higher than “local pricing”, it is pretty inexpensive – really not bad for a tourist area. And the staff were also very friendly - One staff noticed me slap a mosquito and immediately opened up a brand new bottle of mosquito repellent for us; and one in particular was so sweet, we’d go back just because she is so nice.

My husband and I went here primarily for lunch and dinner. We enjoyed so much the local feeling of the ambiance; even though most of the staff don’t speak much English, it didn’t stop us to keep coming back and enjoy the foods they’re offering. We usually order: Pad Thai Chicken & Seafood Chicken Satay and Papaya Salad One time I ordered whole fried fish with papaya Salad (it was humongous fish 😅) Chicken Tempura with Salad Sticky Rice with Mango Green Curry Soup Fried Rice with Chicken It’s not that obvious we came here more than once 😅 Worth the visit if you want to experience the local foods and feel like being in the local area. We didn’t have any stomach issues, so all good ♥️🙏 Happy to recommend it, especially, if you’re around the area.

Don't be fooled by the humble ambience. The food here is top notch. The fried fish was so yummy so was the pineapple smoothie

The waitress was very friendly. Prices are relatively cheap. I tried red curry with tofu, but didn't like it - the tofu was jelly-y and cut in large dices. The next day I tried one of the recommended dishes, it was okay.

Really friendly restaurant like the name suggests! 😋 We went there three times when staying in the area, and were never disappointed by any of the Thai dishes we tried. They make great fruit shakes too, and staff were always nice!

Ordered red curry duck with steamed rice, papaya salad with chicken satay sticks, stir fry morning glory, coconut shake and lemon shake. Average 150 baht per meal. Really tasty, home style cooking with the right balance of flavours and doesn’t taste like it’s got MSG added. Fave was papaya salad, coconut shake and morning glory. Prob on the pricier side compared to places targeted to locals and the patrons are mostly foreigners. But still really tasty food - highly recommended!

Blink and you’ll miss this place. It’s just off the main road. We went here based on other reviews. It did not disappoint. We had the massaman and Yellow curry. Both were very good and reasonably priced! The owner came out and apologised for the wait, we did not feel we had waited long especially given there was no spare seats and people were waiting to come in. Great restaurant and super friendly staff:

The host is just that.. Friendly, Humble and Sweet.. The food is way too good for the no frills joint that Noi's Friendly is.. we avoided all the beach shacks to go here only for food.. A mut visit if you go to Koh Samui.. do not miss.. Do not miss Mango Sticky Rice!

Best value for money. Tasty local food, nice personnel. It's not fancy at all but it is a good thing if you don't look for any fancy stuff =) you just come here, enjoy your meal and leave - perfect. Try sweet and sour chicken or any kind of tempura - everything was good.

Fantastic food and very friendly atmosphere. Two professionally dressed female cooks in the big kitchen. A third very friendly lady (owner?) took our orders. Place was quite empty at 6pm. Very reasonable prices (Chang costs 60THB). All our three dishes were very tasteful. Didn't concern us, but they had a small slide and a few toys plus seats for children available.

We loved this Restaurant ♥️ Best food in Town. Everything was fresh prepared and served with love. The Menue Card is full of delicious Thai Specialities. The Owners are very cute and lovely. We have been there a couple times and found new good friends. On our next trip to Samui we will see them a 100% again ♥️♥️

We stayed this side of the island for the first time and decided to get take out. I walked down the road and saw Noi Friendly Restaurant. A make shift restaurant with lawn chairs and a congregated iron roof. What a lucky find. The red curries were amazing. You can request spicy or mild. If you have a taste for the spicy, I highly recommend the Tom Sum (Papaya Salad). Ask for it spicy, it is really hot but has great flavour. Mango shakes are also a must try. Staff are very friendly as most Thai people are. In total we ate there 4 times. One of our favourite places on the island. Go try it.

    - edited - After eating here 2 x lunch & 2 x dinners in a row I had to upgrade my review ... I need more stars!! I’m going to be bold here and say over all the BEST Thai food I’ve had ... the BEST massaman curry, Tom Yum, Penang curry & fried ice-cream!! We’ve already decided that we’re going to make the most of our time here and come back for every main meal to try to sample as much of the menu as possible. Highly recommended. - original review after 1 x meal - Good honest food & prices. No frills, casual, friendly, authentic. Good menu. Great specials daily. Cracking Thai fried rice & Tom Yum soup. Looking forward to trying more from the menu. Not pretentious. Really down to earth.
