Came there twice in last 3 months. Food is consistently amazing. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. I would say the overall experience is better than some Michelin star restaurants in Bangkok.

The complimentary soup was sooo good. Fish, foir gras and duck confit were great. Escargot was also good. Resonable price. Great services

Top-end french cuisine by an award-winning chef in a cozy, intimate location - ideal for a special occasion. Very attentive service and a good wine menu too. Do not miss the slow cooked beef cheek... it absolutely melts in your mouth!

Chez Francois is a true 5-star dining experience that rivals other restaurants we've dined at throughout the world. Located near the entrance to Fisherman's Village, Chez Francois is a Koh Samui gem. We opted for the 3 course Chef's menu (which includes an amuse bouche & then a sorbet between the 1st & 2nd courses) creating a traditional French-style service. Each option on the menu is thoughtfully prepared and presented. The 3rd course, Les Quatre Delices, is an amazing and delicious combination of miniature bites of heaven on a dessert plate. Pricing is very reasonably for the quality of food and level of service provided. Chef Francois and his team provide a truly memorable dining venue. Be sure to reserve in advance as it's a small restaurant that fills up quickly. Then be prepared to savor the experience that's waiting for you behind the blue front door.

For my personal experience of Michelin restaurants, cuisine is one star standard with no doubt. Scallops were delightful umami, same as the lobster tail. Fishes were fine for me, bread was great, really great. Already made another reservation for 3 ppl.

The place, the service, the food, were all divine. The herb crusted grouper with lemon butter in particular made me smile from ear to ear, in equal part for the joy of the food itself as well as in ponderance as to what skill the chef must have to be able to produce it. To come to Koh Samui and not experience this would be a mistake. Merci, Chef François!

Food is gorgeous. Food portion is generous. The five course tasting menu is enough for 2 of us, although we ordered an extra main course. Wine is reasonably priced as well. We will definitely come back before the chef retires as he is 82 now.

Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve had while in Asia. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients is noticeable. The owner is such a nice guy and loves to take care of his customers. This place is a MUST go in Samui!

Ex-Michelin Star Chef Francois retired to Koh Samui and decided to open the best French fine dining on the island. We had the full 5-course dinner and it was completely worth it. What a culinary journey. Every dish was so creatively invented and delicately prepared to perfection. Thank you for the wonderful meal! (Make sure you get a reservation in advance.)

We had a great meal here- food was excellent, beef cheek melts in your mouth and the lamb is so juicy and tender. Special thank you to Nan, superb service. The chef is lovely too!

One of the best French cuisine in Samui. Really hard to book, so if you’re planning to go, make advance reservation. Course meal were excellent and with super big portion, with a wonderful price. Food is a bit salty but it’s with strong taste of others as well. Appetizers were superb, carrot soup was way too delicious. Lamb was very well cooked as well as the fish. Foie gras dish is highly recommended. Chef was super friendly and service was excellent. If you’re in Samui, give it a try!

A lovely small, intimate restaurant with a some serious statement pieces of wood! The service team were wonderful - were prompt and attentive, friendly and explained the dishes very clearly. The food was fantastic! We had the 5 course meal and chose some wonderful dishes from escargot to the melt in your mouth beef cheek. Every dish was delicious, cooked to perfection, was not salty (which is often my complaint in Thailand) and timed perfectly. Chef Francois certainly delivers on his experience - but you better get in quick before he decides to permanently retire. Highly recommended for a great French meal!

What a fabulous little restaurant, the place is small but immaculate with a cosy atmosphere, the French onion and cheese soup is the best I have ever tasted. The rest of dishes where of top quality and fantastically presented with a service to match. All in all a 1st class dinning experience and definitely recommended

This experience was a once in a life time. The food from start to finish was amazing. We had the 5 course menu which started with a soup and salmon amuse bouche, this took me back to a childhood memory with the flavours. The next was escargot, which ive never tried before and to my excitement, were delicious and very flavorful. My partner had the scallops which he said were the best scallops he had in 30 years. The seafood trilogy was next including tuna fish and lobster tail which was also amazing, perfectly cooked and lots of flavour. Between starters and mains we were given a pallet cleanser of mango sorbet. For mains I had the braised Angus beef cheek, vegetables cooked perfectly with a red wine gravy which I often find over powering the dish but last night complemented every single aspect of the meal. My partner had the duck and steak which again, cooked perfectly (usually fussy with how they are both over cooked in other restaurants). And dessert just finished the night off perfectly with all being exquisitely presented and tasting even better. After filling out-selves up, we got to talk to the head chef and owner (which I've never had the pleasure of doing at such an incredible restaurant before) and he was so incredibly lovely. Definitely take some time and visit this establishment and get transported to France with your taste buds.

A very small french restaurant in the middle of Thailand. The food is really good. And the portions are big (way bigger than in fancy restaurants I've been to before). They have a nice wine menu as well. And mister François is in the kitchen to make sure everything is really good. And looking at the experience of François, you know it will be good. Please make sure you make a reservation a couple of days up front, it is small and many people want to go here.

Excellent dinner. The slow braised beef cheek was cooked to perfection. Good escargot and burrata salad. Fair selection of wines. Reservation is required a few weeks in advance.

If you’re in Samui and you want to feel something else then the rest of the restaurants chez Francois is the place. Starting from the staffs there’s a waiter for each table. The air conditioning inside is perfect. Not too hot not too cold. Music is perfect. And food is definitely 5 stars. Would definitely come again Yagel.

The best French cuisine in Samui, and always a wonderful experience eating here. You know you're in for a treat when you're served a delicious complimentary mushroom truffle soup to start. My absolute go to dish every time is the beef cheek, it just melts in your mouth. Highly recommend

To say TOP is to say nothing.Nsails, steak with truffles and foie gras is the best. Sugnature Foie Gras is just amazing, the best at my last 10 years and even in France 🇫🇷 you hardly find this kind of serving with a special touch of Chez Francois. All the health for many years, Maestro! Salut feom Karma!
