the food is very good here. I can not understand that the people go to the expensive local if there is delicious food.

another case of you get what you pay for.. cheap prices but the tomato sauce on my (remarkably enough, fresh) pizza was most likely ketchup or some other sweetened tomato sauce. fresh tomatoes and alright cheese and herbs though.

Absolutely delicious. My partner and I came to eat here by chance and we were delighted! I’m actually surprised they don’t have a higher rating. My boyfriend ordered the duck green curry and it was the BEST he’s had since travelling Thailand (for the past 7 months)! It came in a coconut. I had the chicken sukiyaki; such a generous portion that I couldn’t even finish it!! The prices are fair especially considering the portions. We came in the evening and the atmosphere was lovely since there is free entertainment (singer with a guitarist)!

Super cool atmosphere! Great live music every night. Delicious food (it's not fancy/posh but its really good price and it's tasty). And most importantly, the staff and the musicians are really cool, friendly and kind people! One of few restaurants in Koh Samui where I went more nights in a row and I have been happy to spend my money here :)

Good food and good prices. One of the most economic places on the island. (Cheapest meals around 60 baht). Their pad thai is good. The noodle soup was okay. They often have live music in the evenings with a band thats pretty good and is clearly enjoying themselves. Their beach location has slightly higher prices.

Love this place. My go to in Central Chaweng. reasonable drinks. decent food. Always service with a smile.

Really delicious food for a more than fair price! Highly recommend! And they have about 400 different meals. You will find something for sure.

Our favourite place to eat breakfast/lunch. Good food at a great price and the staff were so lovely. Loved the chicken fried rice and the chicken yellow noodle soup.

Chaweng (and Koh Samui in general) is full of tourist trap restaurants and they charge ridiculous prices for average food. It really hurts to be dissatisfied, and to have been made a fool of, after paying through your nose - for eg we shelled out a 100 usd for two at a so called high end Italian restaurant which was so ordinary and pretentious, it was infuriating. Given this context, I really appreciate Lipsmacker which serves no nonsense and basic Thai food for cheap! Our generous meal was under 16 usd for two, but that meal could easily have fed three people. We had over ordered. MY RECOMMENDATION: stick to Thai basics and you wont be disappointed. Ask for spice level of your preference- if you like Thai spicy, then ask for it or you’ll get tourist spicy (according to a review here). Make sure the waiter understands your order- things can get lost in translation! we asked for ‘just prawn /rather than seafood’ and he thought ‘no prawn in seafood’. MY EXPERIENCE: We ended up here reluctantly as there was nothing else open at 1030 pm. We were happy to be seated outdoors, in the al fresco area by the street, which was charming and there was a gentle breeze blowing at night. We ordered a pad thai which was just 60 baht, two types of prawn stir fry which had atleast 10-12 medium large prawns (quite generous) for 150 baht, an incredible samui coconut for 60 bht (cheaper than anywhere else), stir fried morning glory (at 60 baht). We asked for Thai spicy, which can be a bit much for some, but we love that. We also got one disappointing dish- mango sticky rice, as the mango wasnt ripe enough. All in all our bill was around 600 bht and we ate to our hearts content and then some. For this price, I dont mind some misses in mostly hits.

Cute little restaurant/bar with good food and drinks at very low prices! We were surprised about the quality of the food in comparison to other places in that price range. Definitely back for more over the next few weeks.

Big disappointment. I ordered roasted duck curry. There was 2 small (2by2cm) pieces of duck, very hard and tasteless. Mostly vegetables: tomato, pine apple and etc for 160 baht

Nice little bar / restaurant friendly service and good food.

Mostly dialed down Thai dishes (far less spicy then traditional Thai). The food was tasty, particularly for those who like a little less spice. Service was okay as well. Hard to tell what this place/area was like before Covid, a little depressing in March 2022.

I'm sure the drinks are fine here but we made the mistake of going for food and regretted it. The vegetarian dish had chicken in it and the other two meals were just not nice. Wouldn't come again sorry.

Great place to eat for budget travellers. From cheap eggs on toast to pizza on toast this is perfect for saving a few bhat. Pictured is fried omelette on rice which for such a bland sounding dish was actually very flavoured. Staff very polite too.
