They keep your passport to get money from you. They look for scratches on motorcycles and defects in rooms.

Please don't rent motorbike there, just look at the other experiences, she will very probably rip you off as well

I cant give this place 0 stars because its not possible. Looks like they take advantage from people who rent motocycles just to take more money from you

You must avoid this place if you don't want to get scammed. I rented a motorbike and used it for less than half an hour. Then when I gave it back, she charged me for scratches that were there before. DO NOT GIVE HER YOUR PASSPORT OR ANY OTHER KIND OF PERSONAL DOCUMENTS. She is gonna take advantage of it to ask you for the money.

The worst experience in my life. The owner scammed us with the prices of the rooms. We had to call the police to have our passports back. If you want to ruin your vacation, you should go there.

Worst experience ever. Upon checkout we were accused of having damaged the room and demanded to pay. The ownerโ€™s proof were years old photos of walls and bed, but it was clear the current state (stains, broken bed etc) were there already before we checked in. Avoid

The worst hotel, be careful to leave your passport with the woman witch. They will bend over backwards to charge you for anything. I called the police and I had all the evidence and even then the police couldn't do anything. I had to pay 3000 for a scratch that she did herself on a motorcycle

The cleanest hostel I have been to. The lady in the front desk is very kind and at the check out, she is very interested for ideas for improvement. Beds are comfy, and great ac and a fan. Also possible to rent a new good bike through them. Two min walk from the beach. Not many people because its a new hostel, but has a great potential.

Much, much, much cleaner than standard in Thailand, more like Japanese cleanliness and hospitality. Nee, the manager, is always happy, smiling and ready to help you. I rented a motorbike for a day, don't need to worry about getting scammed here. Beds in dorm are soft, private, and clean. Area is just a few minutes walk from the crazy center, and that is a good thing when it's time for bed as this place is very quiet in the evening. 300 baht is well worth it for the dorms.

Very clean and fresh. Absolutely lovely staff that will help you with everything. Big rooms (private double bed). In general just a great place to stay, motorbike rental and in a good location. Will stay again.

Nicest host ever, you could tell she puts her heart in this place. The room was super clean and the bed was amazing, I slept like a baby. Great location, 3 min walk to beit habad and chaweng beach. Down side is rooms are a little bit small, would work about perfect for solo travelers, but could definitely work for couples too.

This place is awful. Dirty rooms, hostile environment. Avoide this at all cost.

I came to this place in 2019 but still in refurbishment. Asked the lady Ms Nee to look inside n around the rooms. Get her contact details n go back. On 23rd Jan 2023, we come back to samui n stayed this time at Chaweng Best Hotel n Hostels. The rooms we booked were king size bed and shower room with heater. All I can say is, our stay for 2 nights was splendid and comfortable. The rooms are squeaky clean. Ants? NO ANTS. Donโ€™t believe other nonsense review bout the rooms. Furthermore, we are riders and we know how to settle in. We pay budgets, then expect budgets. We pay more, we get more. But with Chaweng Best, we are happy to rest our butts after long rides. As for the bike rentals, what do you expect from the old lady to supervise all bike fleets by herself. If you yourself have a business of bike rentals, of course you would be doing the same like that. To make sure whatโ€™s been rent out, return the same way. Itโ€™s good business strategy. Yet, she is alone. Document wise, all rental providers demand passports as guarantee that you wonโ€™t run away with the bikes to other place/district/country. Itโ€™s your choice. Travel with less headaches. We did our laundry with mommy as we call her. 50baht per kg. And they smell fresh n nice. Folded n ironed. Room=Clean=Good rest We are happy and would come again to rest our buttocks.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Lucky Mother is a totally underestimated and under appreciated gem. If you want to escape from the westernized party scene on Chaweng Beach for just a couple of hours, thereโ€™s no better place to be. โ€˜Aโ€™ runs the bar there in the off season and he is the most delightful, kindest and funniest local.
