It was quite an interesting experience, but it was ruined by pesky mosquitoes. It would be helpful if they could give a heads-up about this when making a reservation, or perhaps they could install mosquito nets or use mosquito coils. During our massage, the masseuses had to keep stopping to spray repellent, which only helped for a short while. Neither my husband nor I could relax, and for the entire 2.5 hours of the massage, we were constantly battling mosquitoes, which was quite stressful. I even asked the masseuse to remove a bowl of water and flowers from under the table because it was attracting mosquitoes, and they ended up biting my face. Unfortunately, my request was ignored. To make matters worse, the bowl had some garbage and someone's hair floating in it, and the flowers were wilted. The massage itself was good, so it was especially disappointing that we couldn't fully enjoy it. On the complex grounds, there are two steam saunas and three small pools with water that's supposed to be from natural springs. However, we were puzzled by the fact that this water had a strong chlorine-like smell. Shouldn't it be pure spring water? Also, when we made the reservation, they didn't inform us that we could arrive earlier than the designated time to enjoy the whole area. To avoid the same mistake, make sure to check in advance what time you can arrive and, if possible, schedule your massage during the dry season.

This is the most relaxing spa experience of my life. We booked this full knowing that it is much more expensive than any other Thai massage you can get. However, the experience itself was worth every bath and more. It’s more than just a simple a massage or spa experience. It’s a complete detachment from reality and absolute tranquility you have never experienced before. The massage was Devine and were completely lost in time completely tailored to our needs and preferences. We loved it so much, that we came back a second time. Thanks for taking such great care of us and making this to one of our most treasured experiences.

A beautiful spa with fresh water springs. Behind the main building is a welcoming collection of large natural rocks that the natural springd flow through. The spa has cold plunge pools and hot steam rooms cut into the rocks. There are a good selection of natural body scrub treatments to choose from. After the pool treatments you head up along picturesque walkways towards large open pavillions where you take your massage. I recommend the 2.5-hour Thai Yoga massage. The massures are experts. Probably the best massage I have ever had. The staff are very caring and it was a first class service. You must try this place if you visit the island.

Incredible cold plunge pools in giant granite rocks paired with 45°C steam caves, set in the Samui jungle. This is pure heaven. There's a quiet place for meditation and a body scrub station you can apply yourself and shower off. The vegetarian food is so delicious also. I had a facial and it was divine. Definitely recommend visiting the friendly team at Tamarind Springs!

Fantastic relaxing experience in natural setting. Very attentive service and great value for money. Perfect way to escape the afternoon heat.

Incredible place! In nature, between giant rocks, under the birds and trees, you’ll get the best massage of your life! We did 2 hours of pure relaxation. My husband and I both enjoyed it so much. The masseuses were absolute pros. The water springs between the rocks are soooo gorgeous! On a hot day enjoy the cool waters! They had tea and a snack and sweets for us after. It was lovely!

There are massages, and there ARE massages. This fall into the latter category. It's not so much a massage but rather the joruney starting from the steam room, the exfoliation, the natural dip pool and the finale - the massage. The steam rooms and dip pools are located amist a lush magical forest away from everything (wish I had one like it in my backyard). Highly recommended for couples! Tip - If you have a kid 9 years or older, the Tamarind staff is more than happy to watch over and feed them at the cafe. Just give the kiddo a book and ask them to stay put. Tip 2 - The 4 hour treatments are broken into 3 slots per day. Best to book early and indicate your preferred slot.

Best spa I've ever been to. The steam caves were so relaxing and the ponds were refreshing after the steam. I had the thai yoga massage, which I would have loved the oil massage after! The thai massage was lovely, just not what I'm used to in terms of a massage. The food is great, however there is a lot of Soy in it (tofu) and for someone with an allergy, I could not eat any of it. But I heard it was delicious.

The spa is one of it's own. The staff is super friendly and always there for you. The steam caves alone are a good reason to go there. The vegetarian snacks you get served while in the spa are delicious. Did I mention they also have coffee and cake?

Truly cannot be missed. The staff were attentive and made sure everything was perfect. The setting and experience itself was absolutely magical - the pools and steam rooms are 10/10. The massage was relaxing and the masseuse was incredibly skilled.

I would say it is one of the nicest spas in Samui. The staff is very friendly and attentive; they always inquire about allergies or injuries before selecting the massage package. The territory is clean. Try their smoothies at the cafe; especially the Mango one. Oh, and their desserts… we devoured them in seconds. I would recommend trying the chocolate and coconut cakes. Both my husband and I enjoyed their massages and their specialists. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny. Make sure you book at least one session with them.

Probably one of the most relaxing sessions spas on the island. In a tropical paradise, you can a wide range of treatments in your own cabin in the jungle. Very private and secluded. Then have sauna in the steam cave(s) and swim in the jungle plunge pools. Staff are excellent, food and drink was excellent. A true hidden gem on this island. Book in advance as only limited people allowed on the spa at once. Best part of our holiday on this amazing island.

Amazing place, best massage we got in Koh Samui. It is a bit pricey. The sauna routine takes not longer than 1-2hrs as it is small (2 saunas), so not recommended to plan spending the day there. Restaurant food is delicious!

An exceptional beautiful and natural place to spend a couple of hours in the steam bath and enjoy the natural pools. All staff is very friendly and you get everything what you need. Towels, homemade scrub and an excellent vegetarian snack. It was a rainy day, we were alone and really enjoyed our time at this mystic place watching the monkeys in the trees.

Beautiful and quiet place. The 2,5 hour massage was amazing! The springs were also nice. 4 stars because there was no restaurant to order some food or something to drink. We did get a little snackbox because we booked a package.. but everything in there was made of tofu, and I don't like tofu :-).

This place is spectacular! Unique tropical Spa experience. From the two receptions to the secluded changing rooms it was lovely. The natural spring pools and steam rooms with a selection of home made scrubs was invigorating. The food was light and fresh with a selection of drinks. The treatment was high in the hills overlooking the jungle. Relax and enjoy the best treatments, listening to the sounds of nature. We loved it!

One of the best spas in the world. We chose the Dream On package, which is 5 hours of spa (2 hours steam & bath, 3 hrs of massage). It was incredibly relaxing, the environment allowed you to really enjoy the moment. The masseuse was professional and I felt completely zen after the spa. I will most definitely come back again, highly recommend to those who need a relaxing getaway/treat.

We had such a fabulous, romantic and relaxing time at this spa. Immersed in nature, even the steam rooms use the massive mountain side as walls. For an hour and a half all we did was steam, cold plunge, body scrub (self application station), shower and do it all over again. After a delicious vegetarian lunch provided by the spa, we had an hour and a half massage in a secluded mountain side cabana. Truly lost track of time and any worries while here. Would suggest going early as we didn't run into any one else for an hour. Would highly recommend to anyone, especially couples, looking for a relaxing and romantic spa experience.

Sadly it was not what I've expected. There was mould in one of the steam rooms and rubbish in another and we were there at 10am so it clearly hasn't been cleaned in the morning. Overall it was not very exciting or special. The staff was great though and issued us a full refund so dealt nicely with our issues. The snack was OK too

Had a really nice experience here. The prices are really quite high compared to general spas around Koh Samui but you’re paying for the incredible setting and the top quality experience. The grounds that this place are set on are absolutely stunning. Much more beautiful than I expected. I had a 2 hour massage and it was so relaxing in the outdoor setting and it wasn’t too hot because they did have a fan in and a nice breeze being quite up high. I had a highly professional and skilled masseuse who made me feel very comfortable and cared for and the rest of the staff were all really nice as well. I will note that the rock pools and steam rooms are not private which is what I had assumed. That’s a shared space so I actually ended up cancelling that part of my time there but I did get to see the area and again, absolutely stunning. So serene! After the massage, they provided some beautiful, freshly prepared food and drink as well as a drink before the massage. I will definitely be returning here next time I’m in Samui and bringing my partner as well so he can experience it too. Very special place!

We enjoyed our massage, steam rooms and pools. The grounds were beautiful and the extra attention to details was amazing!

The most important first. The masseurs know what they are doing and the massages are excellent. The massage rooms are outdoors surrounded by the beauty of Samuis nature. Nice breeze from the fans so don't worry you won't be uncomfortable. The massage oils are OK... Could be better. The steam and plunge pool experience before can be touristy and a bit busy but see it as an added perk. Value for money is reasonable. If you are in a 5 star hotel skip the over priced spas there and head here.

They don't allow phones inside. We took only steam and dream package. Price is without VAT. They have 2 spas: 45 and 50 degrees. And there are scrubs near the second spa. Spa is in the cave. Very beautiful place. And we saw monkey on a tree near place where were snacks.

Amazing place. Staff were all so attentive and lovely and the whole place is very calm and relaxing. Had probably the best massage I've ever had here! We also visited on my birthday and had not told them in advance but when they found out they gave me free birthday cake with a candle which was a really lovely touch :) definitely recommend!

Highly recommend this gorgeous and relaxing place. I went with two of my girlfriends and we all had an amazing time. I went for a 2.5 hours pregnancy massage and I fell into such a deep sleep the 2.5 hours flew by. A tamarind welcome drink was served before the massage and ginger tea and vegetarian snacks were served after. If you need a great massage and a relaxing time this is the place to be.

Our hotel butler recommended this outdoor spa and overall it was a delightful experience. A free car was sent to pick us up at the hotel, upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely man name Pay. We were then ushered to reception/cafe area and given a bag each containing sarongs, towels and locker keys. We opted for the 1hr massage treatment followed by unlimited steam and dream experience. Everything was really good, absolutely loved massage and also the complimentary scrubs. The weather was too hot for the steam rooms so we skipped that. My only criticism would be there was a lot of walking and steps involved to get to massage point. Would have appreciated a heads up about it in the brochure. We were so hot and sweaty when we reached the top and massage started straight away. Would have liked some time to cool down and catch a breath. May not be an issue for a fitter person.

An amazing place for any nature lover who also loves a spa experience. A must for forest bathing, we thoroughly enjoyed our massages immersed in nature. A magical experience full of butterflies, dragonflies and birds, enormous granite tors and lush bamboo tropical forest. The light vegetarian lunch served as part of the package was delicious. The welcome was lovely, and all the staff were professional and friendly. Tip - Recommend booking in June 2021 for the special offer. Note - Probably not one for mobility impaired persons as there are many stairs.

The most special spa I have ever been in. We came to celebrate my husband birthday on our honeymoon and fell in love with the place. Very unique and magical spa with steam caves and natural hand made scrubs and very special massage treatments. You’re not allowed to have your phone or camera inside so the pictures just from the reception. Also the staff was super nice and they came to pick us up from our hotel and back. Very recommend!

Me and my partner had a great time at Tamarind. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a very relaxing experience from start to finish. It included some snacks and drinks. It is a little expensive but it felt worth it for a one off trip. We were disappointed that there was no availability to book a massage. It needs to be made more clear that slots are limited so people know to book in advance.

I’ve been to many spas and this has got to be my favorite one in the world. The natural, jungle environment with natural stone plunge pools, caved steam rooms, Beautiful landscapes, and natural pathways to each point with a stone staircase to the hilltop massage cabana is the ultimate.

  • 5/5 Stella G. 2 years ago on Google
Just beautiful!! It’s a little bubble.. gorgeous, cozy, peaceful, attention to detail… you get a lovely sarong, smells of herbs spices and nature, waterfall pools, home grounded herbs for exfoliation, a yummy healthy snack. And a fabulous no-phone policy which makes the experience just the way it should be -also means no photos of the inside-. I usually like to give constructive criticism, nothing to say today. If you are looking for a water park, this is not your thing.. if you want some cozy time for yourself, this is the place to go.

  • 4/5 Nick A. 4 years ago on Google
Very unique spa and steam experience amongst the jungle and mountain. The cave steaming and jungle pools were a real highlight. One of the best massages I've ever had if a little long at 2.5hours. Quite expensive but worth it. No photos as the spa confiscates your phone on booking your treatment 🤣
