We took the pool villa, At first everything look great. When we got to our villa there was no WiFi, then when we wanted to take a shower there was no hot water. We told the staff and one staff member came to fix it, but no luck. Before we know it we had 3 stuff members in our room trying to fix it for 30 minutes. They were laughing at us the whole time. Then we called the receptionist fully frustrated and he was doing us a favor by moving us a room when all we wanted was the shower fixed. He said nobody cares and he is just doing his job. The receptionist completely disrespected me and my husband and was really rude. When we told him we are paying a lot of money for the place, he told us:”that’s not a lot of money”. The experience here is really bad and we don’t recommend it. At all.

Didn’t really feel like the price justified the hotel. We got a room with a private pool, which was dirty and filled with all sorts - it got cleaned once which was on the last day. On the last night we had to move rooms as there was something scratching around our room above head level. Our door wasn’t fully connected to the wall, which lead to multiple mosquitos entering the room throughout the holiday - we received the most bites out of our whole Thailand stay whilst in Samui. We spoke to the manager as my partner had a bullseye bite mark and he laughed it off, suggesting the room all have “private security” and then said “all rooms have lizards eating the flies”. - not exactly what you want to hear. The hotel run a good motorbike rental service, which gives you access to driving around the island which is positive. The reception staff and security at night, were fantastic, and we couldn’t praise them enough. After seeing the photos of the hotel, we were really excited to come, but unfortunately it didn’t meet expectation.

It was perfect!! Affordable price and I got the whole canvas villa for myself. It had everything you need, excellent location just a 1 minute walk to the beach ! Love all the vibes. I would (love to) stay there again and recommend it to others 😆🤎🙏

I booked a one-bedroom suite with private pool. Since we arrived there were several significant shortcomings and issues with our accommodation which were the reason for a complaint and a request for a refund 1. Both floors of the villa were contaminated by cockroaches and in the first night I bought an insect spray (reception was closed) to eliminate at least the most obvious part of it under and in the sofa. The next day the whole dimension of the pest issue became visible when the sofa of the ground floor was removed due to my demand and dozens of cockroaches were underneath and behind it. This cost me half a night of disgust and cockroach spraying and two hours in the morning when the housekeeping did a major cleanup and we had to wait outside the villa. 2. I expected the resort to be located on the beach as it is shown on the map of Agoda and as the name “beach resort” implies. In the Agoda description of the resort the distance to the beach is indicated as 10 meters. None of this information is correct. The hotel is 2nd row behind another resort that is at the beach and the distance to the beach is about 90 meters. I did not get a beach resort as described. 3. There was no phone on the room 4. We had to walk to the reception three times to tell them that the pool pump did not work properly until it was fixed. 5. On our arrival there was no express-check in as shown in our booking. There was only one receptionist and we had to wait 30 minutes until we could check in. 6. There was no welcome drink as it is part of the booking 7. The overall cleanliness is not sufficient, especially in the bathrooms (pics) and the pool water. We were very dissatisfied with the false information of the resort on the Agoda page where we booked and the dirtiness of the villa with all the cockroaches as a unhygienic and disgusting add on.

Private pool villas very close to the beach, but watch your valuables! As you can read in other reviews, cash will disappear while you enjoy the beach or the pool. I counted my cash (THB 3500) in the early morning as I had a catamaran rental booked later in the day. Before I headed to the beach and pool, I locked up most valuables in the safe but left my cash in my pants in the room. Before I, depart I find that one 1000 THB bill went missing. Checked with the management for the CCTV to see who entered my villa - but the SD card was missing just for the time where I was out! Based on other reviews, the pattern appears to be: on the day of your departure, when most guests will be in a hurry and busy packing, 1 or 2 bills will disappear. Most people likely won't even notice, so we can assume this happens a lot. The pool villas themselves are fine. the beach isn't the best on the island but good enough for a stroll and a swim.

The most Idyllic resort in Samui ( at affordable price) !! You should book a canvas Villa , they are super confortable , cozy and beautifully furnished. The pool is amazing. The owner Patrick and his wife are warm and will make sure your stay is memorable. Thanks again !

Overall the villa was ok. We got Duplex villa with private pool which was pretty big for 2 people. Comfortable bed but the AC seemed to be in wrong position (got blocked by closet) and with high ceiling .. the air was hot during day time and night time. For the price that they charged, we expected cleaner room and cleaner facilities in the room e.g microwave, sink, sofa etc. The smell of old/dry flowers that they decorate in a room kinda stinks my nose🤧 The reception was friendly and helpful on the first day.. on the last day we asked if we could rent a motorbike a bit longer (we’ll pay extra fee) but got no help or info for that only “No” with attitude then tryna be nice sugarcoated later when I’m not having it. Also food service took forever .. we ordered a drinks during happy hour it was not easy to communicate with some staffs in Thai (I’m Thai and thought they could speak/understand Thai) I switched into English and it was just fine. Yet got asked why I speak English 😑 it took roughly 30 minutes to get 2 drinks right. Mistakenly overcharged what I didn’t order exactly and said it’s the price on the menu (which has shake and smoothie .. different price) But it’s only small amount different so I leave it. The value of our stays weren’t that great compared to what we paid. You could find a better value stays somewhere else in Samui!

While the hotel premises are generally pleasant, my experience was far from satisfactory. We booked a villa with a pool, but issues arose from day one. The water in our entire villa turned brown on the first evening, and the sofa emitted a strong urine odor. Despite our complaints, no action was taken until we intervened the next day. We were then moved to a new villa, where the shower reeked of mold. After further complaints, they assured us a replacement villa, which finally met our expectations. Overall, the accommodations are well-located and visually appealing at first glance. However, a closer look reveals neglected maintenance, with numerous broken items (e.g., gate handles) and noticeable black discoloration in corners, particularly in the bathroom. As compensation, we received a complimentary 60-minute massage for the inconveniences. I would not consider booking a villa here again and do not recommend it. Despite the issues, the staff was understanding.

I recently stayed at a resort in Samui and had a great experience overall. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a beautiful pool and access to a stunning beach. The location was a bit far from the city, but it’s okay if you get a scooter bike or taxi. I recommend this resort for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Samui. The staff members were helpful and accommodating, and the overall experience was good. I would definitely consider returning in the future.

We had a couple of disappointing experiences, 1. We had to carry our luggage around the property by ourselves, no porter. 2. In our rooms, fans were not working, doors didn't have any locking mechanism, tents were not properly closed/maintenance was low. 3. The safe in the room was not working properly. 4. While having breakfast, you have cats around who lick down in your plates & staff doesn't let you take juice, they say outrightly in your face, sir we have already given you two glasses, wherein 2 of our friends didn't have their breakfast because there are no options in vegeterian food for breakfast. 5. Above all, ALERT - our money, about 16000 THB got stolen on our second day from the property while we out for a day at the beach, for which there was no reciprocal from the management team, especially Nadear, the receptionist for the day time, she had different stories to tell us, which didn't come out same in repeated conversations, plus they didn't even show the camera recordings to us, which is the best way to figure out things in such cases. Even when police came, they started to make a different situation wherein they wanted us to change our trip itinerary causing us more trouble to figure out the matter with police, only because someone is from another country, doesn't mean that they should not be of helping attitude, very unhappy with the experience & will not recommend anyone to stay at Khwan, beware of thieves inside the property. I am attaching a copy police complaint as well here for you all to take a look. Please check other reviews also, people have similar or unsatisfactory experiences. BEWARE!

Overall we had a great experience here. Staff are very friendly. The tent we stayed in was not only attractive and decorated perfectly, it was also very functional. We stayed cool with A/C and bug free. Lovely to shower outdoors too.! However, the landscape here is sparse and sad; not lush, colorful, or inspiring. Food service is a bit off tho quality and taste is solid. Beach nearby is not the kind of place you want to spend much time on (true for entire island tho). Apparently a new GM has been hired and I’m hopeful he can get this place up to its full potential.

Nice place to relax with lovely and helpful staff and a fantastic masseuse who really knows what she's doing (the best I've ever had - not too hard not to soft 👌). Pretty flowers around the grounds. Good air conditioning. Food pretty good - huge breakfast with lots of options and some tasty Thai dishes. They need to be more honest and careful with a couple of things on the menu, though - it claims the juice is fresh but it's out of a carton. The muesli also came with walnuts and traces of almond when the menu only mentioned hazelnuts - potentially fatal for anyone who's allergic (which my partner is). For a luxurious place, I was surprised they were playing pop music and hip hop by the pool and in the restaurant. Something sophisticated/cool/tasteful would have been much more relaxing. An easy thing to fix, though. Overall, we had a lovely stay.

we stayed there good 5 days and I would say that the resort is just great, really first class experience from the beginning to the end. Very personalized service there, you choose different breakfast that is prepared specially for you daily , nice service, we were in 1 bedroom tented villa and it was a truly unique cool experience, the environment surrounding the resort is so exotic and tropical, being waked every morning from the song of tropical birds and animals, having an amazing garden near the tent with a nice swing and also lounge chairs outside as well amazing bath tube and rain shower just outside under the sky... combined with a comfortable big bed and AC+fan inside the tent, minibar and fridge, fee water bottles daily and cleaning.... the pool is big and nice as well. I would not recommend the restaurant but the refreshments (cocktails) are good and enough for us. By booking from their web-page we had included free massage for me and my wife which was 1 hour long professional and cool- performed on the beach(by our choice)! really enjoyed it. the are is nice because it is more with locals and not tourists as in the southern part of the island. There is a parking area and security as well which is a plus for us. We would definitely come back there !

Super cute and comfortable glamping resort, well built and decorated, staffs are welcoming and attentive. The tent is not sound proof, so if you have loud neighbors you definitely can hear them well.

We really loved the hotel! If we came back to Koh samui, we will definitely come back! The staff is awesome and kind! And the manager is a really cool dude! The location is also good!

The staff and owner were amazing and helpful. The owner actually drove us to another resort when we’re done with our stay with them. The rooms were modern and comfortable. The resort is less than 50 yards from the beach. It was amazing to get a massage while watching the ocean right on the beach, I would recommend this resort.

We booked two nights on a luxury villa with private pool and got upgraded to a two bedroom villa (3 people) and it couldn’t have been better! The villa was beautiful, everything very clean and the staff was super helpful and friendly! We arrived before the room was ready and changed and stayed by the pool and enjoyed a few drinks on the pool bar. Everything was perfect!

Good location to the beach, around a 50 meter walk. We booked a room with a private pool which was great to jump into after a long day. Rooms are medium sized, good air conditioning and there are safes in the room. 2 bottles of water are provided each day, there is a mini bar in the room. The reception team were very helpful, they book a lot of activities for you, taxis, there is also a nice restaurant on site and they do offer room service.

Stayed in the tented villa, which was beautiful from the inside, loved the bathroom and interior and extremely comfy bed. Sadly, the other tents are so close that you hear the guests talking or whatever else they are doing. Didn't have one good night sleep because we are a bit of light sleepers. The tent also leaked a little when it rained. The pool was a but knackered, and the music played by the pool was pretty awful as it was a YouTube playlist, incl ad breaks. Staff was very friendly and Antoine very helpful with places where to eat and go which were all great

This property left me speechless when I first arrived! I had a two storey villa with private pool and it was just stunning! Huge living area, kitchen, two showers and toilets, gorgeous bedroom upstairs with a balcony and views over the pool. The private pool was the perfect addition and a great size! Outside sun loungers, an umbrella and beanbags too. And a stunning communal pool area, restaurant and bar. I can not speak more highly of the owner and her staff, they were just so helpful and friendly. Absolutely stunning accommodation right near the beach!

Beautiful and original place to stay in Koh Samui! Unfortunately, the lack of communication / coordination within the staff of the hotel - restaurant results in poor services and customer experience. Not matching with our expectations.

One of my favourite places I stayed in thailand! I love quirky places and this was comfortable and cosy too. Highly recommended for something different but still amazing standard.

Tent was good and beautiful, breakfast was bad, just 2 choices: thai breakfast or American. The beach near the resort is not that beautiful.

We spent a few days at the resort and we could've definitely stayed longer. The resort was amazing, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area looked great and all of the staff were very friendly. A special mention should go to Nadear. She was amazing! She helped us booking everything and even made our stay extra special by inviting us to make lanterns with her for Loy Krathong. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel but the food was terrible, a la carte breakfast was cold and swimming pool dirty

  • 4/5 Ros C. 1 year ago on Google
The room was clean and no cockroaches, Its not by the beach but tuck in a feeling of tropical jungle, near the pier for speed boat. The tent room gave me a feeling of camping yet more secure from natural elements, it was raining too. Love the small touches of flower decorarions, bath tub is quite nice they provided a bath salt and with head rest! the semi outdoor bath yet still with a lot of privacy. Their food is not good though. Better of ordering somewhere.

The place was good, however, too many insects and a bit isolated. Food options were limited, overpriced and not good at all.

Its a one of a kind place and experience, the staff are friendly and can speak English. The room set up is good and decently clean . However if you have a noisy neighbors like we had and couldn’t sleep at night because of that, if only they can have some sort of isolation.
