A very cool resort with a lot of potential. The resort is newly opened and is located not far from the airport, and on the sunrise side. The overall design is nice, modern and simple with a lot of bright colors. The lobby is a cool and simple lean space presenting you with the ocean view. We book the garden room, I think majority of the basic room design are the same with differences in the views. The garden view room is on the back of the hotel, so it is not connected to the main building and you can call buggy or walk a bit through the parking space to get to the lobby. They also have villa category. The resort overall ground is nice and kept clean, many resort usually will struggle with leaves falling etc, but the overall path to the restaurant or beach are nice and slow walking path. A lot of place to take cool photos because of the overall design. I love how they kept the old trees and built around them, which gives the property character. The room Is very nice, spacious and clean. I am not sure if it's just my room, but on the first day the air con was not working and it took a better half of a day for the room to cool down. The second issue I had was the hot water, having stayed in many hotels usually hot water are available almost immediately. I had to wait about a good 10-15 minutes for the water to be hot or it will be just barely warm, so this affect of course the bathtub experience which I skipped because I didn't want to keep running and wasting water. A small note is if you're driving they will valet your car. As they don't allow you to park on site even though there is a car park. We arrived midnight after a wedding party and there was no valet and no service or anyone at the lobby. While the two security that didn't speak English didn't allow us to park in the lobby and kept pointing out, which I assume I have to park outside the hotel? It took a while to sort out and I had to ask my partner to go to the room and rest while I sort out our car. I think management needs to make it clear for guests upon check-in on their policy and what happened when guests arrive outside service hour. Do also check with the beach staff before you swim in the ocean, as the day we are there we got advance warning of jellyfish which is good for the team and I saw they constantly clean the beach of debris and trash. Overall I had a great stay, and the property is beautiful, clean and very nice from design perspective. I wanted to love the resort. But I expected the same standard of Hyatt service that I usually experience. Hopefully they will get better with time.

The check in process at this hotel was disastrous. We got to the hotel at 8:30am and were told that our room was vacant and needed to be cleaned which left us hopeful and grateful that we might be able to check in early and get some much needed sleep, we left & got back to the hotel at 11:30am and were told the exact same thing so were made to sit around at reception watching other guests show up and get shown to their rooms. Breakfast is good and the plunge pool is nice and clean. The hotel is not located in a good area. The BIGGEST & most infuriating issue to deal with is the disgusting smell of sewage in our room (913). We complain about this daily and instead of explaining why or if the issue can be fixed, they constantly try to mask the smell by lighting oils / candles which makes the issue worse. The guys at reception appear to be very sympathetic and understanding of the issue when we complain yet they refuse to do anything about it. We paid more than £160 a night to stay at this hotel and it has proven to be the worst possible choice we could’ve made on this trip.

This is a newly hotel one branch of Hyatt just open during 2021 (COVID Pandemic). All staff meet Hyatt standard with fully service mind and hospitality. Food at Sesun Bar & Grill at night are over our expectation. It s was great and refined taste. You will have lots of facilities for your kids, we recommend family to spend time here. The room and their decoration style is so thoughtful. Last but not least the most loving part of this hotel for us is … all tree from the nature (especially Yang Na tree) which they have build it without feeling of any irritate to the tree. We can feel very green and fresh here !! Definitely we will comeback !!!

The hotel is promoted as a premium standard resort, at a premium rate. However the real-world experience is poor. The room that we had booked for our staff had a major ant problem that wasn't resolved, the breakfast experience lacked a comprehensive selection of food, and the foods available were not very fresh especially the western selection. The room came with 2 entrances however only 1 entrance could work with our key, the other was only locked from inside. Making it pointless to have that as a easy access to the beach as the door was unable to be locked after using. The payment setup was really limited and QR payment was only usable for local banks. The other payments were limited to credit card and not visa or master debit. Bank Transactions were also not possible. The mini bar fridge was not able to chill any of the things inside, the staff said that they are not sure why none of the fridges work. The showers didn't have consistent water temperatures; which made showering uncomfortable. All in all we felt the place was totally overpriced and they need to do a lot to get the place to a condition fit for the public.

My first Hyatt regency property stay and I was impressed. The open air lobby was stunning and gorgeous. Staff were friendly and helpful. I reached at 11 in the morning but was told that my room wasn't ready so I had a delicious lunch at their restaurant which faces the pool and ocean. The check in staff then came down to pass me my key once the room was ready! Make sure you book the ocean view room. It's worth the extra! Room was huge and super clean. The bathtub faces the window which was lovely. The whole resort was easily walkable. Breakfast was delicious with an amazing egg station, juices, Thai dishes as well as barista coffee and even Thai iced milk tea. There is also a cute affectionate ginger cat roaming around the resort!

This hotel is awesome! The view, the beach, the rooms, the pool & the service is excellent. Good to come with family or a romantic getaway. Hotel staffs are genuinely friendly & helpful, my requests were immediately attended to without reminders. Rooms & bathrooms are very clean & well maintained. Overall, it's a great place to spend a good vacation.

I am staying here for 8 days quarantined on the Sandbox program. I love my staying very much. Not crowded, quiet but entertaining. During my stay, they have an art gallery show which is very interesting. The whole hotel was built based on Art Inspiration. Customer service is excellent. Very Beautiful pools. The private beach is tricky though, it's not like you could swim. It's lots of rocks and wind. You could try. The central mall is 15 minutes away which is great. A lot of restaurants around but not within walking distance. The best transportation around the island if you are on a budget is a motorcycle. Rent a car for sure for the group. Overall, 5 stars, and I will recommend this place to my friends and family.

Clean, high end hotel, very good and polite service. Buffet food was not hot. Food cook to order is best temperature wise. Plenty of fresh fruit and salad mixed, and cereal and nuts. Fresh juice not from concentrate in the morning, but from concentrates in the evening. Thai deserts were just ok. Pricey bar menu to be expected. Ice cream by the a small scoop ( 90 B per scoop) with limited options. Coconut ice cream is uninspiring. Sunrise is located to the extreme left side of hotel, walk to beach and look to the left side. Small beach front with rocks and gravel mixed in sand. Activities: 2 or 3 two-people kayaks and paddle boards. Pretty pools for adults and kids, closing time: 7 PM, too early. Live music some nights: a very nice voice singer and a guitar player. There's a gym with moderate collection of equipments provided, a jug of cold water in room. It's situated and tugged away toward the inner part of hotel, would prefer if it has ocean view. It was not well lid up when we looked in there. Bring your own books, deck of cards or board games to pass the time if needed. The hotel do not have any on hand. No island tour transportations offered. You are on your own to venture outside of hotel. Be ware, taxis are very pricey, check with hotel concierges. Rent a car was recommended to be better option than taxis.

Hotel is amazing, however there were few things that forced me to provide a negative feedback: - food was not great. I also encountered an incident where a worm was found in my served plate. I got food poisoning which makes me doubt the hygiene of the prepared food. - beds are not comfortable nor pillows.

I stayed at the Hyatt with my family. The hotel is new and very modern. The staff is very friendly and very hard-working. It is always helped immediately and the staff tries to make the stay as pleasant as possible. (My daughter was always taken to the room in a golf cart because she had so much fun). I will definitely come back and I'm looking forward to it.

Amazing place. My wife and 3 kids stayed for 10 days and had the rooms with a private pool (highly recommended). The staff could not have been more professional! They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant. Pools are amazing only annoying thing was the other guests that would place belongings on sun beds for most of the day to reserve them, very frustrating when you have 3 kids and no shade. The beachside restaurant was our favourite spot for dinner. Overall I would give a 9/10. Only reason it’s not a 10/10 is because the beach isn’t world class but the hotel certainly is 😎

We were delighted with the room we stayed in at this hotel. The private pool was a standout feature, providing a tranquil and indulgent retreat for us to relax. The bathroom came with a spacious shower that easily accommodated two people and a bathtub with a view of the pool. The separate toilette was a convenient touch. The bed area was ample and the bed itself was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Furthermore, the room's television was easily accessible for streaming music and movies, providing an additional source of enjoyment. All in all, the room was an excellent choice for a couple's stay, with its thoughtful amenities and comfortable layout. There were a few issues that detracted from the experience. Firstly, we were disappointed to find plastic in the private pool upon arrival, which we had to clean ourselves before using. Additionally, the tables in the restaurant were quite close together, which made for an uncomfortable atmosphere when other guests were eating loudly. The prices for food and drinks at the hotel were also quite high, roughly three times as expensive as in normal restaurants, especially considering the quality of the food offered. While we understand that prices may be higher in hotels due to the convenience and amenities offered, we felt that the costs were excessive and not in line with the value provided. One other issue we encountered was with the transfer from the hotel to the airport. Despite the short distance of just 3.5 kilometres and a travel time of only 5-8 minutes, the price was exorbitantly high at over five hundred baht. We were forced to use this service due to not having cash on hand and the fact that normal cabs do not accept cards, but we were extremely disappointed with the excessive cost.

Beautiful place and great for families with small kids. We had to go for the regency suite room because we have 3 kids, 6 yo, 3yo and 1yo. The benefit of the regency club that served drinks all day and the evening of light meals, desserts fruits. Movie night every night at 7pm. Large bed and the separate TV area is definitely a good option for the kids to roam wild in the rooms. That extra space around the bathroom and closest room was excellent. Love the slide, playground and the option to swim at any of the 3 pools. Lovely staff and lovely rooms. Saw some wild life and different bugs around. Kids loved that. There isnt anything outside of the hotel. Food and stores are up the road, but there's a taxi stand just outside. Short 5-10 minutes ride to go somewhere outside.

Amazing service! The hotel is very clean, individual and friendly approach of the entire staff. Daughter left the key ring in the restaurant and within half an hour they brought us to our room. Each case is handled immediately. Great for kids. The only negative for no elevator between level 0 and the lobby. In addition, only pluses, and we rarely evaluate a hotel in this way.

10/10 Reception team - made us feel welcome and took care of us as we were royalties. Can’t thank enough for checking the ferry timetable and changed pier without asking. You guys are amazing! 10/10 Our ocean view room (134) was clean, beautiful and everything promised. 10/10 The location by the sea. Such incredibly gorgeous place. 10/10 Restaurant Sesun. The food is good but the atmosphere and service is what this place is all about. Again we felt welcome and were taken care of most friendly manner. Only negative is breakfast service which is mixture of being serviced and self-service. I do not know what issue hotel is trying to solve by setting food so that even butter and jam needs to be asked for. If the counter is not manned every second of breakfast service (and it was not), it is more of inconveniencing customers to keep fruit, yogurt and such behind service counter. Hopefully this is solved before we return and return we shall. Thank you so much for this lovely experience!

Great relaxing and luxurious hotel. Staff were fantastic and some of them went to the trouble of remembering our names, a really nice touch. Bank, who worked in the restaurant, was very friendly. The place was clean spotless and had some great swimming pools and a private beachfront. Absolutely loved this place.

The hotel's rooms are spacious, like you'd expect from a five-star place, and there's a part of Rock Beach nearby. But, the waves there can get pretty wild, so swimming isn't a great idea. Plus, the pool water tastes salty, probably from folks coming in from the beach. Breakfast had plenty of choices, though. I'd say it's better to find a hotel with a nicer beach for swimming.

Overall great hotel - quiet side of the island. Great Thai restaurant on site. But a bit far like 10mins car ride to the town center or restaurants area.

We stay for 3 nights in the ocean view rooms in Sep23. The rooms are clean and spacious. The pool is lovely. The only down sides is the sands on the beach. It is very coarse and felt like mini rocks then sands. There are quite bit of steps to pool. The stars pool is really beautiful at night. There are only 4 parking lots, which is pretty ridiculous. If you’re late, you will need to park across the road in a ruin area. People plays an important part . We would like to compliment All the staff from the Breakfast Team! They make our day every morning! From all the Chefs to the Service staff they are all nice and friendly. I specially want Say Thank you to Ms Nong for her excellent service. She is smiling and are very attentive, thoughtful and very friendly. Thank you Ms Nong!

New Hotel of Samui, i stay in Villa which is really great esp the rainbow pool so cute. The decoration in villa is very detail esp in the blue toilet. The room is big and beach front, you can walk from the room to the beach easily. All the decoration in hotel is very photogenic, start from the signature lobby and all area is really colorful. In love with this place, wish to be back.

Stayed here for two nights in November. 5/5 all around. But here’s what we love the most. - huge shower area (though granted we were in the executive room) - sumptuous breakfast with a bit of everything and they did it so well: moo ping (pork on stick: combined with the sauce this was hands down the best i had), hummus, bread pudding, cold pressed juice, shakshuka - service: helpful, courteous staff, top notch care deserving of the five star hotel that they are What we wish they could have done - provide iced water and cold towels for guests at the day bed, beside handing out the beach bar menu - paddle board - this was not allowed on the day we were there on a calm sea day which was disappointing since we were looking forward to it. We did kayak instead which was also fun. Despite the fact that there were loads of kids at the resort who obviously were having a blast, we were not bothered since the resort had a few layers of pools which helped in separating them out. We went as a couple celebrating one of us’ birthday. We were grateful to be given a room upgrade and late check-out. We will definitely come back.

Extremely good stay at grand Hyatt. Lovely rooms, great staff, delicious food.the ocean view from rooms were good and especially the restaurant overlooking the swimming pool and beach was a great start to the day. Breakfast buffet had decent variety and tasted good as well. The camp Hyatt was great for family with small kids. The swimming pool was fantastic. Special mention to the staff, very accommodating and friendly. Made sure we had a comfortable stay. Always greeting and smiling. The only negative will be the beach. Koh Samui is filled with beautiful soft sand beaches but not the one in Hyatt. But all beaches are short drive only so we didn’t miss it that much.

A very new property managed by the Hyatt hotel group. This place is the most suitable and meant for family with young children with the kiddy pool and kids’ club in place. But if you choose the right time of the year, I’m sure you can enjoy the great view and the adult pools without the children screaming so much. The service from the staff member was excellent. Everyone was very nice, kind, and accommodating. They were also very open about outside options for local food and spa because the hotel’s spa and all the food services aren’t open to their full capacity yet. Overall, very satisfied with the hotel and their services, despite the hotel not being 100% opened.

Absolutely beautiful premises, all modern and new. If you can get access to the Regency Club, your stay will be even more enjoyable. Happy hour with complementary beer and wine and an array of authentic Thai dishes. Staff are extremely helpful and kind. Thank you ka!!

Lots of food to eat at breakfast for example there is a noodle 🍜 and egg 🍳counter. There are three pools that are all brilliant. The largest pool has a standing platform but it’s the busiest pool and the water was foggy at times. There was a pool that had the best water slide 🛝in a hotel I had been to it and was the second busiest pool. The last pool was the adult pool. You could go kayaking 🚣🏾‍♀️ but there is only two kayaks. At night, there is a amazing, free fire show 🔥.

Lovely resort. Brand new, breakfast choices were awesome, great hospitality by staff. Pool was great, kids enjoyed it fully, Famil friendly. We took normal room and facilities in room were excellent. We had dinner at Sesun restaurant first day with Fire show, it was great. The food was good but expensive for the quality and quantity served. Beach is there but very small. Spa could be added.

We had a great stay during 4 days, the hotel is very beautiful, rooms were great with a nice coach. We were impressed by the staff who is really friendly and nice. The hotel is well located in a small cove for those who like nice landscape but it is not so suitable for swimming in the sea as there are quite a lot of rocks.

  • 3/5 B L. 1 year ago on Google
just came by to get food/drinks by the pool. not impressed. Drinks were small, poor quality, and expensive. The hotel was impressive, but didn't have much character. Lousy beach. It felt like we were stuck their with people who didn't want to go elsewhere because the taxis were so expensive. You can do way better if you just explore a little bit. Won't be visually stunning, but better on balance.
