Nice location and the cheese/meat plate is one of the best. But it’s the second time, I leave the restaurant because of Canabis smoking by other guests. I do not understand this policy…. There are young children, but it’s also against the law to smoke in public. So bad management and for me unacceptable.

A great, independent resort! We stayed for 3 nights during Songkran week, our rooms were very modern and well kept with good space too. Breakfast included was amazing along with the other food and drinks too. Pool area is a great place to relax with amazing views with the beach in front of you as well. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A few restaurants nearby and not far away from Fisherman’s village, a great place overall would highly recommend if staying there or just visiting for the day!

Stayed here two nights in August. It's right on the beach: stunning views, big infinity pool, great food, kind staff and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. And - for me this is the kicker - the restaurant serves world class coffee and properly authentic English breakfast. Top recommend!

I really want to like this place, especially for its' ambition and the fact that the more beach clubs and upscale restaurants, bars and boutique hotels in the Bangrak area of Koh SamuiI the better, but I can't. Whether its the cheap "IKEA" loungers, the vast void areas, the lack of finese or style, the awkward design of the swimming pool, the locked and unattended boutique, the tacky blue and neon lights that come out at night or the clumsy menu, it all makes it unlovable. But not unfixable Last February I walked in for late lunch at around 2.30pm, there was no one to greet me so I sat at a table in the restaurant area and got out some paperwork; When I finally got attention from the staff, a manger came over and said I could not sit at my table as it was for 6 people and I was only one person. I said "guys you have a completely empty restaurant and its 2.30pm, when are you expecting the rush? " The manger was adamant, so I prompty left and went elsewhere where I was made to feel more welcome. In December I arrived with a group of 12 for brunch, the staff arranged a bigger table quickly and gave us menus, there were another 3/4 tables occupied plus some people on loungers. After 20 minutes and no service, no order taken, no drinks we got up and left, I tried to persuade the group to wait, but they were hungry. The poor waiter was on his own serving the whole beach club alongside one barman. So to my latest attempt to love this place. I went to meet friends who had chosen Tembo . I ordered a beer which was swiftly brought to me by the barman along side a 250Baht (€7 bill) for a single beer, it was not necessarily the price, which is double that of local 5 star hotel prices on the island, it is that I am expected to pay a service charge for the dude pouring a beer and passing it across the counter i.e doing his job. Needless to say other than the excellent DJ the place was pretty empty again. I really hope these guys succeed, as it has all the potential to be great, but it seems they need some experienced operator/managers ASAP

This was a lovely place to sit and watch the sunset. It has a lovely surrounding and offers a peaceful place to grab a bite to eat or drink. The pool is nice but slight small, however this is due to the vast seating area. It also has a boutiquey little shop as well.

Totally agree with the other great reviews! Would give 6 stars if possible. Our bungalow was a dream, modern bathroom and the bed is just perfect. Everything is new, clean and well taken care of. Staff is absolutelt lovely and the chef makes great food. We extended our stay to an entire week as we enjoyed it so much. Did I mention the beautiful pool area and super comfy sunbeds already? This was easily the best stay in our 3 weeks holiday and actually even better than any other hotel we have ever been before. Thanks a lot and we are looking forward to returning asap. ❤️

Nice small hotel. There are 10 rooms but quality. more private. Breakfast is great. Staff are all excellent. great team. Love the decoration in the hotel room. Pool by the beach.

An interesting new addition to Bangrak and Samui as a whole. White, modern and tropical all seem like appropriate descriptors for Tembo. Lovely location with a large dining area, a huge bar area and a nice comfortable sized pool with plenty of loungers. The food is well priced and overall pretty tasty. The burger looked amazing, but was rather disappointing when it came to flavour. Everything else from the watermelon carpaccio to the tapas was flavourful. Pricing isn't cheap, but still reasonable taking the location into account. Service is excellent and very friendly. Overall would recommend giving it a go.

We have just returned from a glorious stay at Tembo, Koh Samui. First impressions of Tembo do not disappoint and we have had one of the most relaxing holidays in this beautiful beach resort. The staff, the management, the food, the drinks, the location and the facilities are all first class. We also were incredibly fortunate to meet the owners, who made us feel so welcome, which was the cherry on top of of one of best holidays we have ever had. Thank you Tembo……we will be back!

Stayed for 3 nights here. Very good room and comfy bed (really). Chilled atmosphere, amazingly friendly and responsive staff. Located next to several good restaurants, walking distance to Big Buddah. The sea was a bit dirty and the beach is extremely narrow, but they have a nice pool.

Such a beautiful place, brand new, really nicely done. Staff good as always, nice view, jazzusic at times, great food and cocktails / wine. We loved it.

Lovely host and chill atmosphere. Viki was amazing, she showed me the rooms when I arrived. The other host at the reception didn’t speak fluent English and cost me going to the wrong pier for my ferry. But overall the facility is amazing. Will come back.

We had a great time at Tembo. Team is extraordinary friendly, food is great and superb quality. Due to the fact that it has only 10 rooms it feels like an exclusive stay. Day guests for the restaurant or beach club are also very welcomed. Can totally recommend, 10/10

THE BEST food and service that we have found on Koh Samui during our 1 month stay. Seriously, everything was absolutely delicious, amazing manager, well trained staff. You have to try their Tom Yam cocktail too! Not to mention amazing views and a great design. Wish i would discover it sooner.

We had worked with Tembo from when they were finishing construction. We booked our wedding ceremony there and worked with the Manager May and her Assistant Manager Vicki. We had regular video calls and updates on the completion of the venue, our decorations, food and external vendors. The communication was always good and when we arrived and saw the venue we were very impressed. They dealt with all our vendors and sent all the info we needed them to have. We had a tasting day a few days before the wedding where we were presented with all the food options for our wedding, they were all excellent and looked after us. On the day the staff were put in force to ensure the day went well, Vicki in particular was in 10 places at once ensuring that everyone was looked after, the timings for each part of the day was adhered to and my wife to be was kept from me until the last moment. The attention to detail and their attentiveness was amazing. Our honeymoon sweet was gorgeous and the use of the spa for the bride and bridesmaids was genius. All in all it was a great experience and we also wished we had booked at Tembo for the entirety of our wedding/mini moon. Excellent service

This place is so cool. On a busy street but you won’t see it from the street, hence location is convenient but it’s not noisy. Great for drinks & chilling at the poolside and live music at night I’d like to try the rooms on my next visit

We had a wonderful stay here, very clean place. I lost my AirPods there, and they did the extra service to sent it back to me to Denmark, such a helpful service.

Friendly staff, good food and nice pool and bar. This is not a hotel but a day club with some bungalows. When close to the road, bungalows are noisy also during the night. We were there when there was a private party and then you notice club guests are more important as hotel guests. Pool was completely full with drunken, smoking adults…. Hope they will be succesfull.

Didn't stay at the resort but the restaurant is a mostly undiscovered, modern beachfront restaurant with western and Thai dishes...more oriented toward western. We tried the burrata, fish and chips, corn soup, and the apple tart with ice cream...an excellent light finish to any meal here. Great service and reasonable prices. Does the "Beach Club" scare people away? We see more people in worse restaurants...wonder why?

Tempo is one of the best boutique hotels I've ever stayed at! It's absolutely stunning - the decor, architecture, perfectly maintained and situated at a truly gorgeous fine sand beach. You couldn't ask for a better view or nicer sunsets from the infinity pool! Everything is not just aesthetically pleasing, but also comfortable and practical. The staff is fantastic too and the food is surprisingly wonderful! (lots of vegan options too) They even have events, like Taco Tuesdays with a DJ and a guy who plays the bongo. The whole hotel is immaculately clean, the rooms are spacious and have everything one could need. You can just sense with how much love and attention to detail everything was created. The beds are also super comfy - 5-star hotel level. You're also so close to the pool and beach and it just feels so homey. Even the people who stay there are brilliant - I made genuine friendships there with some fantastic people from all over the world. Everything is AMAZING at Tembo. Don't hesitate to book this hotel. Even the location is perfect close to shops and restaurants.

We just checked in yesterday to this lovely resort and it is absolutely beautiful here! May, a manager, is a true professional and helped us so much. We are booked here for over a week and already we are so happy we decided to stay here. The food is delicious! The staff is attentive to your every need, they are sensitive to those with food allergies and the food and beverage manager is friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for a lovely holiday.

Dave the resort manager treated me and my family in a disrespectful ways, even called us “you people” as soon as he seen david shield on my chest he started to talk down at us and made us feel unwelcome. It’s my last visit here and Stay away

Had a fabulous first week awaiting to move to our apartment as we are now living here. Fabulous staff food venue and very comfy bed . The Duck is amazing and should never go off the special board. Josh is a lovely guy also Thanks again

We enjoyed our vacation so much. The resort is beautiful and very modern. The pool is great and the beach is right in front of it. You have a breathtaking sunset. Moreover, the staff is very friendly and always smiling. There is a lot of emphasis on making all guests feel comfortable. We would come back again and again. Stay as great as you are!🤍

Visited the beach club as a family and loved it each time. The staff here is great and will take good care of you. Food is also very good - so good we came back for their new year dinner!

Tembo you beautiful gem … what a fabulous new beach club/restaurant … Wonderful staff welcomed us on arrival… The wines are all beautifully selected and the food menu gave plenty of choices… catering for every taste... we choose from the tapas menu … and everything was delicious. There is also an absolutely gorgeous boutique shop where you can purchase a fabulous array of gifts and clothing... go check it out ♥️ I can’t recommend this classy venue highly enough.

Pretty cool place to hangout. Drinks is pretty great, especially the homemade G&T. Didn't get to check the boutique shop, but seems cool. Can't wait to comeback and check the pastry shop.

New Chic Beach Club in Koh Samui. We were there on the first day Tembo open its doors. So impressed with the warm welcome by Khun May and her team. The staff is very friendly and they are just there to facilitate your fab Tembo experience. We were very much enjoyed the food and drink, especially the cocktail TOM-YUM made from based ingredients from Thai herbs. The place is a stylish design with stunning views on Bangrak beach. Please don't miss to visit as you can gain a lot of Instagramable shots here!!! We will definitely go back and see you guys soon.

This is a great venue with a lot of care and consideration gone into its development. The location is first class as are the facilities. The service is good and also attentive. A great place to relax and unwind.
