It’s easy to believe that this is the only option but don’t be fooled. Continue walking round to the left and take a bus or hail a regular taxi. The price seemed ok for a shared shuttle service but bear in mind you’ll be waiting until they sell enough fares to run the shuttle in your direction We had to wait for another flight to land before we went anywhere. Not quite what we bargained for!

Walk an extra 100 metres to the taxi rank. I wanted to make sure that I got that in as the first line of my review so that it could not be missed. Honestly it was awful service from smack one. We chose the shuttle bus option and although they do mention that they want 5 tourists at a time to take, they really stretched it to the most ridiculous logical conclusion. There were 4 of us waiting for this 5 person shuttle bus, so you'd think that would be enough right? But no, we had to wait nearly 45minutes for a flight for Singapore to come in for the hope of 1 more tourist. Clearly they couldn't spend the petrol for the 30min round trip to our hotels (in zone 1, the closest area) for 4 people only... Then, when we were waiting for this 'final' person, we had to suffer the ignominy of being passed by about 7 other people who had arrived on the Singapore flight, all taking a single shuttle bus by themselves, simply as they paid more. Finally the magical 5th person arrived and we could finally leave, nearly 1 hour after buying our ticket. Not worth the 'saving' at all for the dreadful service and lack of logic.

KEEP WALKING! LYING COMPANY. Expensive and poor service AND extremely rude staff. They made around 15 people wait almost 30 minutes before a minivan came, which they called taxi. It was not a taxi. We waited so long by the queue after we paid at the desk. They didn't know that I speak Thai, so one lady (staff) said to her colleague in Thai "get all the customers/travelers, don't let anyone slip away. Get them all". I asked her why the taxi never came and why it took so long. Was it because they didn't have enough cars? She said yes! I told her that they made us wait even though they knew? She said yes. So me and others got angry because we had to wait for so long. I asked why didn't they tell by the counter that the waiting time was so long. She answered that the staff by the queue didn't have anything to do with the front desk... Is the same company! And they knew, they had walkie-talkies all of them, they were always communicating with each other. I said to her that this is bad business, bad communication with us and they kept lying about the transfers. They should have told us about the waiting time, so we could book another taxi down the road or use Grab (Uber) instead. She rudely said "well, you can ask for a refund at the desk then if you don't want to wait any longer". She didn't even care. We had waited so long that we didn't bother with the process of refund. Minivans came and the driver didn't want to drive us because it was closer than the other places. He then drove us to the hotel and the van couldn't even get up the little hill of 10 meters long in distance. So we had to drag our suitcases up ourselves only to find out that the driver dropped us off at the back side of the hotel. So we had to carry down the suitcases again to the main side. Worst company ever! DO NOT USE THEM! They are lying to tourists. I regret not taking a refund instead of using this nightmare company. Unprofessional!

very nice taxi driver, but service ladies at the airportcounter mostly unfriendly. i was shocked, so much unfriendlyness i never experienced in Koh Samui. so first time booking smack one was also my last one. i better refer again to taxi drivers waiting at the meeting point.

AVOID!!! Keep walking past their pushy sales desk, there is proper local taxis around the cor we.Very over priced, the counter pretend that there isn’t taxis at the airport. The first thing the driver did was ask where we were from to hand us the appropriate language card asking for a tip before we had even left- ridiculous. Drove a ridiculous uncomfortable route at speeds not commensurate with the conditions.

Ok, we should’ve ordered the limo from the hotel, yes, but we didn’t think smackone would be this bad and gave it a shot. We paid for the 1500 limo to Conrad koh samui, guess what showed up to take us there, it was a minivan meant for 10 people. Oh god, the ride was painful as the seats were just horrible. You’d think that if we paid for 2 man ride at 1500 baht they’d give us a more comfy ride like a SUV or something, not the case. I wanted to give it a 0 stars, but the driver was nice and friendly, he was also easy to communicate to and let us off at a 711 to grab some drinks and chips before we head to the hotel, so the 2 stars are given to the driver.

It charges you a standard rate with an upgraded car if you book directly at their website. I paid 400 from the airport to my hotel in Chaeng and 380 from fishermen's village back to the airport. Both on an SUV. It's a standard rate unless you make a good deal out of a bargain.

Keep walking, there are real taxis a two minute walk ahead. This company is a scam, I paid for a taxi, and there was none. They let me stand there until my hotel checkin closed, while there were actually taxis hidden just around the corner. I should get my money back.

Expensive. Unfriendly service. you show the ticket and get a "sit down" on a bench. nobody tells you what you are waiting for. We thought we paid a Taxi, ending up in a shuttle bus not leaving until it was full, waiting ages. thanks, never again!

When you land in Koh Samui, walk past the green shirts from SmackONE and just hail a regular taxi. Their staff and service is disgraceful to say the least. Waited over two hours for minivan transfer and got treated overly rude by the SmackONE staff at Koh Samui Airport. I recommend to avoid them.

Book the service in advance online. The price is standard for direct airport to hotel service. Can also use it for transfer to the pier. Which is good if you are pressed for time. Their customer service in whatsapp is also fast and friendly.

Did not use the service, but one of there drivers pulled up infront of me and a thai friend, then the driver started threatening us and tried to push us of the road with his smackone fortuner. After that he told us to follow him. Probably thought that we will get scared because of the shooting earlier at the airport. Will never use them in my life if that is how the company allow their drivers to drive.

Very expensive on Ko Samui and you wait over 60 Minutes for your Shuttlebus. Walking is quicker.

Good service and thanks for the help with finding my travel pillow that was left in the taxi. The price is reasonable, whatever people say. Have you tried to order taxi in Tokyo or Paris? Samui is not a cheap place, so please be ready to pay a bit more than 100THB guys ;) And ladies are very helpful and nice!

Avoid and walk outside the terminal building to the taxi stand. The company runs a monopoly for airport transfers at Samui Airport. Alternatives are hotel organized transfer or taking a public taxi which wait just a hundred meter further outside the terminal building. This of course is nowhere advertised. After having paid an overpriced 1600 baht for a transfer to zone 5, we had to wait forever because none of the drivers wanted to take us there. Gave it two stars because the van we finally got assigned to was rather new and clean.

The experience at the airport when we arrived wasn’t too bad. The driver was friendly and the van was comfortable for our party of 6. The price was half that quoted by our hotel at Chaweng so I was happy to pay. I tried to book a return journey through them only to find that they need more than 24 hours notice! There seemed to be no way online to check if they would do one. I plumped for Koh samui taxis for our return journey and they were significantly cheaper.

I was complaining waiting time (40min) for bus. And they asked me to cancel and refund. They don't have any responsibility?

Best taxi driver ever. He waited 30 minutes for me without any complaint. Sorry and Thanks!

Booked airport transfers to and from Samui airport and hotel and both times had a good experience. Cars were clean and drivers punctual and pleasant. Fares were also cheaper than those quoted by taxis at the airport and outside the hotel so good to book ahead.

It's a sharing van but it's very cheap. Booked 2days before arrival and everything was perfect. They were waiting me. Thank !

We asked for a taxi, were sat down for quite some time and then put into a line. I then we got put into a bus. Very expensive, staff is not friendly and we just felt like dollar bills.

  • 2/5 G O. 4 years ago on Google
200 baht per person for a 3.4km journey?? I recommend instead walking “to the bus station“ and hailing a regular cab. Car was quick to arrive and clean, so two stars for that.

Poor communication, long waits if you aren't going to super touristy area and even then they just tell you to wait. It took 45 minutes just to get a shuttle from the airport. Consider getting a private transport ahead of time if you're going anywhere less touristy (maenam in our case).
