Lovely ambience, nice decor and layout, friendly staff, impressive menu and the food was some of the beat I’ve had in Samui!

Lovely decor. Very clean. Staff is professional and kind. I got wonton soup and it was so good I came back the next day. I also had a pineapple smoothie served in the cutest mini pitcher

If you're visiting Kawin's, definitely try any of the slow cooked lamb or beef dishes from their Specials menu. I also really loved their Thai Iced Tea.

Amazing food, especially the specials. The staff are very friendly and helpful We loved all the food we’ve tried here. The beef curry specials are amazing because the beef is so soft. We loved the beef panang curry. The calamari starter is also great. Most meals on the special board are about 250-300baht.

This is by far one of the best culinary experiences I have had in my life so far. The richness and beauty of Thai culture and traditions are expressed in these fantastic dishes, which take traditional Thai food and bring it to our times in an exciting fashion. A utter carnival of smells, tastes, and shapes, friendly to all types of diets, including vegetarians. The prices are too good to be true, and as if that were not enough, the place is served with all the friendliness that Thai people carry in their DNA. The restaurant is run by the chef and her sister, with family affection that brings each dish to life. A sweet and intense experience, like those who build lasting memories.

If you are on Koh Samui this place is where you want to eat! It's delicious and the staff is really friendly. We've been here three days in a row and every thing we chose from the menu was awesome. Probably the best food we had in Thailand so far.

Seriously good Thai food. I came here 3 times it is that good. The massamun curry, red beef curry and pork basil stir-fry are all superb.

I went there with my girlfriend after reading all the good reviews on Google and we have been so disappointed. I took the recommendation from the staff with the family recipy of the massaman beef (I was thinking It can not go wrong since Massaman is one of my favourite ones) and I got some belly beef literally swimming in one liter of oil. There was really little potatoes and you could not feel the nuts flavor. Furthermore the massaman was being destroyed by the oil :( so sad. My girlfriend had the duck breast and was not really happy neither, the part didn’t feel like being the breast at all. I put 2 stars because the staff was nice and polite. Considering we paid double than in the neighbouring restaurants (1180bahts) which deliver way higher value, I can not recommend this place or not for the massaman at least.

Great Thai food, in fact - I’d say that they’re one of the best on the island. The floor staffed constantly checked in on how the food tasted. That’s great that they take their product seriously. You’d also be asked how spicy you’d like your food to be - ranked 1-5, 5 being the spiciest. They’re on the pricier side, and their dish prices are priced like what the hotels in the area would charge for a meal. But being touristy Bo Phut, it is what it is.

Very good food! Prices are rather high but the quality of the food is 10/10, so it‘s worth it. Had one of the best Thai salads I‘ve ever tried in 25 years of traveling to Thailand!! Thai tea also extremely good and the main dish (garlic pepper/chicken) was also very very delicious. Will come back

Family dinner at 21pm during the week. Friendly staff who served us well. Very delicious Vietnamese spring rolls (summer rolls so not fried) with variety of two sauces Followed by two vegetarian dishes (one with and one without tofu). The location along the main street is not ideal but absolutely okay. Can definitely recommend!

I had a great experience here. The owners daughter is gluten free and so she had full knowledge of the gluten free diet for coeliac. She was able to recommend loads of meal choices and came to check up on me several times. My meal was too spicy for my liking so she took the food back without me asking to reduce the heat levels as she could see I was struggling lol. We will for sure be back for dinner to try something else. The beef massaman curry was to die for! Slow cooked. The beef just fell apart and pretty much just melts in your mouth. My husband just loved the sticky mango rice too!

I really enjoyed the food in this restaurant that I had to come back and eat there again. Don't miss out on the Som tam salad especially if you like peanuts, they serve the best Som Tam I had in Thailand! First night I was there ordered the Massaman curry with beef from the specials menu, it was delicious but a bit too spicy for me and was a bit pricey (550 baht). Second night I was there ordered the sweet and sour chicken with cashew and it was delicious, it was both crunchy and moist at the same time. This restaurant is a bit on the pricey side but still I highly recommend it.

If you want to try unique and traditional southern food, I recommend this place. It was very very good.

Thai food in gourmet quality, very unique. We got red thai curry chicken and were absolutely flabergasted. Prices are standard for Koh Samui, maybe a bit higher, but price/value is excellent. Service is also excellent. Definitely a recommendation, will come again.

MUST TRY in Samui if you’re staying near this part of the island. The portion sizes are very generous, and very high quality , flavourful food- we usually try to eat as ‘local’ as possible avoiding touristy hotspots, and I would say this is our #1 restaurant find across our time in Thailand. Great mix of vegan and non vegan dishes too with a focus on healthy dishes without compromise of classic Thai flavours

This restaurant is clean and modern. The food was amazing. Whilst it is Thai the chef really puts their own signature on it. We had chicken satay to start, then the seafood green curry which we asked for spicy number 4 and had a good assortment of seafood. Then from the specials board we had the fried beef with crispy basil, this was slow cooked tender beef brisket topped with crispy holy basil.

The juices alone are worth a visit. Super fresh, exactly the right consistency and most importantly: delicious. The food is outstanding, too. I went for the Massaman curry (which seems to be their signature dish) which was bursting with flavor. Portion sizes are super generous, too.

For the drinks alone you should visit this place. Amazing smoothies: can dearly recommend the Green Detox and Mango Sunrise. The food is delicious too. Kawin’s Kitchen takes Thai food to a whole other level. The Massaman curry had a deep rich flavor to it - and reminded me of a good boeuf bourgignon. The Pork Salad was just amazing: crunchy, filled with herbs, nice acidity, great textures and some fresh pineapple coming through… just wonderful The portion size is not small either. After the salad I was so full I couldn’t order another smoothie even if I wanted to. All in all, Kawin’s Kitchen shows incredible attention to detail. If you find yourself in Koh Samui, this one you cannot miss out on.

Really good, fresh food, service excellent and we were served our food quick. We had the som tam (papaya salad), yellow vegetarian curry, fried tofu, vegetable noodle soup and Vietnamese rolls. All delish! Slightly more expensive but worth it. Keep up the good work!

My wife and I were walking along the main road and spotted this very inviting restaurant. We decided to try it out! We were greeted immediately with smiles and shown to our table. The daily specials were explained. My wife had the Pad Thai and I had the Red Curry Fish Fillet daily special. We loved the presentation and obvious care that went into creating the dishes. Flavours were delicious. Too full too try the fried banana and ice cream but no problem as we are going back for more! See you very soon!

Really good thai food (probably the best I’ve tried in Koh Samui). Looking forward to come again. The service is really nice too. If you are looking for authentic thai delicious food, don’t even think about it.

Definitely worth a visit when in Koh Samui and further explore the area of Mae Nam. We will come again for breakfast/lunch or dinner when we are back on the island.
