Absolutely the best Kobe beef I've ever had! High recommend this restaurant! We had the filet and sirloin from a champion Kobe cow, and it was well worth the money. They even gave us birth certificate with lineage and credentials. What a one of a kind experience. The meat melts in your mouth and is the best I've ever had. The service and atmosphere are exceptional. They prepare all the food exactly to your request and do so in a professional, friendly manner. All the ingredients are fresh and of high quality. We did not have reservations and had to wait about 20 mins. They are upstairs and have an elevator. This was the best Kobe I've had in all of Japan, I look forward to coming back and definitely recommend!

My review will be probably influenced by the fact I didn't enjoy the meat too much. But read on... This is supposed to be a historical steakhouse with deep roots in Kobe's wagyu farming. I have consumed A5+ wagyu on several occasions and from various Japanese regions and was in Kobe 6 years prior for Tajima beef. I cook A5+ Japanese wagyu at home on occasions (there is always a 500gr sirloin in my freezer!). This is just to say, I am no expert but no novice either. I was not impressed with Kobe's certified A5 sirloin. First of all I unfortunately couldn't notice much difference from other Tajima wagyu from the region (though it's clearly very different from other regions, ie: Takayama's apple flavored wagyu). And at double the price, It's a pity I couldn't really notice, but will take it on myself and also didn't have something to compare to right next to it. Then, a 170gr sirloin of Kobe's A5 was absolutely too much for me to bear without feeling nauseous. I am a grown meat lover and regularly BBQ 500-600gr of meat for myself, but the level of fat in the sirloin almost made me puke. Maybe because I had just landed, idk. So the above is absolutely very personal... From an atmosphere perspective, there wasn't a single japanese person in the room. Americans, French, Chinese... Not only it takes away from the atmosphere (but who am I to say, given I am also not Japanese?), but also makes you wonder if you paid the right price. I personally would take it off my bucket list. But please, go with a smaller sirloin or opt for filet. The fat will pump in your veins :)

This was by far the best restaurant we visited in Japan. Service is great there and we had our own chef. The chef was a very polite man and tried very hard to talk back in English. The food was very delicious. I've never had such delicious beef in my life! The beef just melts in your mouth. You'll get the best food experience here. Totally worth paying this price for the quality of food and fine service. I really recommend this place!

The great place to enjoy the Kobe-raised beef (A4-A5 grade) The staff and cook are nice and friendly. Great food and good atmosphere. The price is almost expensive but if compared to what you get. The price is not a problems! And do not forget to book the seat before you visit here

We went to a different branch down the street at opening (11am on a Saturday) without reservations. The wonderful host said we could come back at 11:45 to be seated. He proceeded to call over his mic to the other branches to ask if there was any seating available for 3. Then he escorted us down the street to this branch so we could eat right away. Wow. We ordered the 3 A5 Kobe beef lunch sets. They made it very clear that the other sets not labeled Kobe beef is not Kobe beef. Started off with a creamy potato soup and then a very fresh salad. The Kobe beef was just amazing. We had it cooked according to the chef's recommendation (medium & medium rare depending on the cut). He also suggested to us how to eat the beef (with salt, pepper, wasabi, or garlic). I thoroughly enjoyed everything. The chef also offered to take a picture of us. I was very impressed by the food and service. Kobe beef IS everything it's cracked up to be.

What’s a trip to Kobe without trying some delectable Kobe beef. There’s an abundance of Kobe beef restaurants to choose from. I think we chose this from reviews or maybe TripAdvisor. We weren’t disappointed. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, perhaps due to the pricing. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and the chef did an amazing job cooking everything in front of us. The food presented well. We went for the higher grade cut but I found it a little too high in fat content but still tasted fairly good.

Absolutely worth going to if you wish to try A5 grade Kobe beef in Kobe! Service was impeccable, the chef was very skilled and cooked the beef to perfection (they will ask what rarity you want). This place gets fully booked during the busy periods so either reserve in advance or arrive for a late lunch or early dinner. The two of us turned up at 5 ourselves on a Saturday without a booking and managed to get seated with the awareness that we'd have to leave by about 6.45 as they had a reservation at 7. Honestly 1.5hrs is more than enough to comfortably enjoy the food! Do be aware that this place is pricey though which you can see from the menu pictures others have posted.

We had a lovely dinner under the guidance of the waiters and the cook. It was the first time for us trying Kobe beef so we wanted to make it a special dinner. The food comes in set menus based on what you want to try. It was delicious.

5 star dining experience. We were a party of two and had the entire main dining area with a chef just for us. It was a very intimate dining experience. The food, service and experience was exceptional. Our chef took his time to cook us our meal and talked us through his process. He was brilliant. Service was attentive. Worth the time and money. Highly recommend.

Originally we went to the Kobe-Sannomiya branch on the 3F, but since we didn’t have any reservation & they were full, we were guided here to the 2F instead. (We were put in a private room so there is social distancing implemented here.) The waiter was kind & recommended the types of beef we could order to share & compare. The chef was also nice, recommending which seasoning we should try for each type of meat. The meal included salad, soup, rice (you can ask for more serving), and a cup of coffee or tea(紅茶) at the end. An expensive but worthwhile treat when in Kobe :)

Just amazing. Yes it is expensive but if you want an amazing dining experience then you must come here. Everyone from the waiter to the chef all speak English. Every dish was delicious. The beef was melt in your mouth and you'd wish you had eaten it more slowly so you could savour the moment more. When we left, the chef came out and thanked us personally, only leaving until the lift had closed. Amazing personal touch.

I had a little difficulty first making a reservation for the restaurant when I called but we eventually got one. There are many locations for this brand and I originally had wanted to go to the location that offered more casual dining. But when I booked, the man taking the reservation placed us in the “Royal” - it is more upmarket and that could have influenced the price, I don’t know as I haven’t seen the prices for the other locations but our prices were expensive. We ordered the “set menu B” for the rib eye and the sirloin. They were both great but I think the sirloin was best. Our chef was lovely. He was the older of the two and offered to take a photo of us, explained how to eat the meat and veg (add wasabi and salt or dip what items in the dipping sauces).

Absolutely fantastic Kobe beef restaurant with quiet ambience, lovely staff and amazing food. Kobe beef teppanyaki is one of the most expensive meals one can have so by nature restricted to very special and intimate occasions. This restaurant is certainly a good choice for these. Serving A5 Kobe beef, you can have a special date or business meal while your personal chef tells you about anything you want to know regarding the meats they serve. Highly recommended for very rare experiences!

4.8 - Wow! A5 BMS 12 Kobe beef, I will never forget about such taste, aroma and texture. Highly recommend this restaurant in term of food quality and chef cooking skills. If you are ready for spending some $$$ on the finest wagyu in Japan. Go for it. At least once in a lifetime.

Great place to try Kobe beef. Splurge a bit more for the A5, it’s totally worth it. Service was very kind. We went to another location at first with no reservation and the waiter called their other branches and personally walked us to this location. Super high quality ingredients, prepared to perfection by the chef. One of the better beef meals I’ve had. It’s a bit pricey ($100+), but you won’t be disappointed. You’re not just paying for the beef, but also the service and the preparation skills of the chef. I luled at the one-star reviews that mentioned the restaurant not showing certificates on demand. Me personally, I won’t believe the beef is truly A5 Kobe unless I get a kabuki-style show where the farmer brings out the cow before my very own eyes and Emperor Naruhito himself slaughters it with a 16th century samurai blade.

Had a fantastic experience and meal here! Didn’t have a reservation, arrived at 11.30am and they were kind enough to accommodate us before their lunch crowd. Chef cooked all our beef perfectly, and it was nice to watch him cook for us. Even made the mushrooms(usually not a big fan!) and eggplants sooooo delicious. Service here was good, a few staffs can communicate in English well. Meal did not feel rushed eventhough they had next booking at 1pm. By the time we left, the restaurant was full house! Definitely a big budget meal, but this was probably a once in a lifetime experience for us and it was worth it 😋

Great staff and chef. Overall a wonderful dining experience. We select the cut(s) and they present them to us, before cooking them in front of us on the hot plate. We managed to get a reservation through our hotel concierge for lunch on the same day. Don’t expect Keens steakhouse type steak but if you like buttery fatty steak that melts in your mouth, this would be your jam

We stumbled upon this place without a booking as soon as they opened and were so glad they were happy to accommodate the two of us for lunch seating. Service was exceptional, the chef was very friendly and the beef was hands down the best beef I had in Japan and Australia! We tried one A5 Kobe beef rib eye steak and one A5 Mouriya steak and both were amazing. Will have to come back to this restaurant again and Kobe in general to eat more beef!

Finally tried Kobe beef in Kobe. Ordered the Kobe sirloin - 17,200 JPY I feel that wagyu beef is still better than Kobe beef. But this beef is good! Service is also good! The parts with more fats are nicer.

First time trying Kobe beef and this restaurant did everything perfectly from the delicious food and the top notch service. All the staff were extremely friendly and could speak English. The Kobe striploin and filet were so delicious, cooked right in front of you teppanyaki style, definitely one of our top meals this trip. Only downside is the price, it's expensive but you get what you pay for to a certain extent.

Took a last minute day trip from Osaka to see what the hype is about Kobe beef and stumbled onto this restaurant early afternoon. Even though we did not have a reservation, they accommodated our party of 2 quickly. We ordered from the lunch menu: “kobe beef finest filet steak 120g” per person and it was exceptional. The professionalism of the chef cooking in front of us was impressive. For the filet and 3 glasses of beer, total came out to be about $330 and it was well worth it. Highly recommend for people wanting to try out kobe beef. (Visited 1st week of December 2023)

First Kobe beef experience and let me tell you what a blast it was; like a rollercoaster ride. Watching the chef cook the rest of your ingredients while getting a soft buttery flavour explosion in your mouth at the same time. Staff were friendly and hospitable. Don't think, just enjoy the whole experience.

The steak was amazing! The Mouriya selection was better than the Kobe steak in our opinion as it had more flavour. Both melted away in our mouth. Chef was friendly and explained to us the information about steak and how he did things. Worth a try or for a special occasion!

A nice place to visit if you want to try good quality Kobe beef, with nice atmosphere. Mouriya has a number of outlets in the area with different concepts but I chose this one as it has Private Rooms which I think my family would enjoy (all adults)! No minimum spending required, but of course, the food isn’t cheap either. Do remember to make a reservation in advance to secure the room :) I found this booking system better than some other popular joints as it didn’t require advance deposit or to choose my order in advance. Had a pleasant experience here. Private room that was pretty spacious. With a bigger group, they can remove the adjustable partitions between rooms. Each room has one chef to cook in front of you for the whole dining experience! Unfortunately, we can’t speak Japanese so could only stare at the chef while he cooks… Food here is good. Recommend to go for the more expensive cuts if you like beef with more fats or marble. I went for a less expensive one as I don’t like too much fats on my beef, but it was still good and to my liking. All dishes other than beef were good too! Also recommend to upgrade for the garlic rice because that’s really fragrant too~ Overall, a good experience here with good food and good service. A nice place to visit for a quality meal! Enjoyed!

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Our party of 4 had a wonderful lunch here. We did not have a reservation, but we were able to be seated within 30 minutes. All staff members spoke some level of English and were all very friendly. I shared the Kobe beef sirloin and rib eye with my aunt. The sirloin melted in my mouth, and the rib eye was super flavorful. Even the soup and salad were delicious. The meal was on the more pricy side, but definitely worth the price.

Went to this establishment around dinnertime, staff accomodated me extremely well, even if I came alone. Staffs and chefs can speak and explain in English and were very helpful in detailing each dish and what works with it. I ordered Kobe Beef Sirloin 170g A (A is Beef and Vegetables while B is the full course) Chef has cooked each dish to perfection with the sauces/seasonings and vegetables complementing each other. Umami perfection. Eating Kobe Beef isn't simply just consuming it, it is an experience as well. And Kobe Beef Steak Restaurant Royal Mouriya deluvered it splendidly. Recommended for people who want to truly taste what experience is Kobe Beef

I write this review as a tourist from Germany. I ate the A5 Kobe Rip Eye steak in the big menu. It was okay. The beef was very tender and fatty. It tasted good. But I know better beef. With the price of 17500 yen I can eat 5x 300g steaks in my hometown in Germany with side orders and drinks and they are equally good if not better in regards of taste. The side orders here were okayish. Overall - for me - it was a bit disappointing. The fact that you can see the chef cooking in front of you is cool. The evening was okay, but I would never do this again. It is not worth the high price and I am not shy to pay good money for a good meal.

Best dine-in experience! Service and food was impeccable. All the ingredients were such high quality. The chef let us know to try the steak with each of the condiments, which included real Nagano wasabi. The garlic and pepper was my favourite. The sweet potato was also surprisingly really tasty, the best I've had by far.

Mouriya beef is a must try compared to kobe beef if you visit this branch. Mouriya and kobe are 2 different names and types of beef. Teppanyanki style, and we have a private room to ourselves. Ordered the ribeye and sirloin, and everything tasted excellent. This place must make reservations. They have other sisters branches near one another or in the same building, make sure you know which branch you are going to as it very confusing when all branches are in the same name located in that street. All are in rice set with salad, soup, and coffee/teas as ending. Downside - ventilation is not very good, it's get smoky when the chef is at work.

Kobe is only a 20-30 minute train ride away from Osaka. Definitely shouldn’t miss dining here if you’re in Osaka. I was able to dine in without an appointment. I went in around 4:30pm and asked how the walk in process worked and they told me they can seat me right when they open at 5pm for dinner. I’m so happy I came here. The chef was so delightful and provided recommendations on how to enjoy the meal. I recommend following chef’s instructions.

We arrived with no booking and they were able to squeeze us in. We ordered 2 types of beef, Kobe A5 and also Mouriya Selections. Both cuts were amazing but we prefer the least expensive type which was the Mouriya cut. The garlic friend rice is very nice but paying an extra 1000 yen for garlic is a bit over the top. Our chef was excellent and I would totally recommend anyone to visit here. Would I go back and pay the high prices? NO but it’s an experience.

This is a fantastic restaurant that cooks different cuts of Wagyu meat as well as other types of beef cuts that are not Wagyu. Honestly I was very impressed from start to end, they walked me through the menu, different cuts of meat and the lunch sets they had to offer. The menu itself explains it as well. If you are unsure what you want, ask them for their recommendations. I usually eat my steaks medium rare but I would suggest going rare as it melts in your mouth. The service was amazing and the staff were very accommodating to everything I asked of them. I would suggest to book in if you can as they can get booked out.

Mouriya honten head restaurant was full due to reservation. Was referred to this shop across the road. We were given choice of A4 or A5 Kobe beef from the lunch menu. The rest are not Kobe beef. Hence we tried the A5 and it was really soft and tender unlike any other beef we have ever tasted. Just be prepared to pay for the good quality. Of course there are cheaper options nearby...

The steak is as expected, really tasty and buttery. The place looks really cute, and you get a nice full course meal (soup, salad, veggies, coffee or tea afterward). But two things made it not reach 5 stars. 1) the staff was a lot less welcoming than all other restaurants we've eaten at (been here for 2 weeks) and 2) the cost. We got one Kobe beef fillet and one wagyu sirloin, and each one glass of wine. Came out to about 30000yen. Definitely worth trying out if you're a foodie / really into steak, but be prepared for a steep price.

I have a high expectation of kobe beef but this place just let me down. It is definitely overpriced cause two of us ordered two lunch set for a ribeye and a filet which costs almost 250USD. The lunch set was really simple which basically only the steak. The ribeye was sliced too thin for a good steak and the filet was just mehhh. I bought a similar A5 ribeye from Tokyo supermarket Ozeki for just 25USD and it tasted better than that. It just feel like a ripped off for going all the way to try kobe beef.

The meat with the savory meat was delicious, not only the lean meat but also the fat that was baked, and it was excellent with wine. Garlic chips go well with meat Just salt, wasabi and black pepper are enough. I suppose the sauce was ponzu and miso sauce. I finished eating without using it.

(Translated by Google) I used it several times for work and private. Compared to other stores in Moriya, it is possible to have a profound sense of luxury. There is also a private room, so it's suitable for entertainment that you can't miss. It's a coronary sword, and the Kobe beef price is broken now, so there is a good menu, but if you return to the original, it will be tough in private.

(Translated by Google) Over € 320 for 2 Kobe steaks in the menu variant? Can it be worth it? I say yes! A unique experience and so far by far the best steak that I have ever eaten. For the duration of the sequence of dishes, you will be faced with a friendly, assigned cook who never leaves his seat. So you have your own cook who celebrates cooking with such joy that it is really fun to watch. If you have some spare change, go to the Royal Mouriya and the Top Kobe Steak. You never forget that again. Sowas vergisst man nie wieder.

Just perfect! Perfect service, the perfect meat and the perfect cook! Very intimate place, where you will take the time and the pleasure to really taste kobe and other beef meat. Different pieces available, at different price. For 2 people, 120g meat each + rice/salad/soup/etc. 13,600 yens. Very amiable cook, religiously preparing your food in front of you! Kind of a dance or ceremony, we highly recommend!

(Translated by Google) I chose this from among the many Kobe beef restaurants. The reason is not only word-of-mouth but also the long-established store and the atmosphere of the store. The location was easy to understand and I was able to enter the store with confidence. I received the finest Kobe beef fillet, sirloin, and a lamp. I think the expression that melts anyway is the most correct. The amount of oil, the amount of chef's grilling, everything was great! It was a very meaningful and happy time for me to communicate with each other, not just to eat, because he talked to me while making it. I'm afraid I'm worried about eating out because of the corona sickness, but I was able to eat with peace of mind because the inside of the restaurant and every corner of the restaurant do not feel like a downtown area. I'm glad I was able to save the cow in Kobe as much as possible.

(Translated by Google) Wonderful experience. Eating fun and enjoyment. However, if you want to eat Jinto Exhaust Kobe beef, you have to pack 200,000 won. I ate the cheapest one, but I added a glass of beer, so I added a glass of beer for almost 80,000 won! Referee. It's not a lively teppan-yaki restaurant. It's a tourist's visit to the busy streets, but this concept has made it to the 4th shop.

This place made us feel incredibly welcome, the service was excellent and the Kobe beef was the genuine article. We had our own dedicated chef cooking our steak, and when asked to pick our cuts of meat, the wait staff suggested to us that if we're sharing (we were) we might like to pick cuts of meat that are further apart on the cow - menu came with a picture of the cow so we knew which cuts we were choosing, including a marbling and tenderness rating. We went for lunch and the meal is a set menu of salad, vegetables, bread/rice, beef, tea/coffee. The beef comes with accompaniments of salt, pepper, fried garlic, FRESH wasabi (had never had this before - was amazing!), and miso. Vegetables also come with a delicious dipping sauce. Overall, this was a super expensive lunch (approx AUD500), but we left feeling like we'd had a fantastic experience.
