If there is one culinary experience you should try in Japan, it's definitely this one. It is a pricey but I think the quality of service and food was worth it. Beef that melts in your mouth and combined with the best ingredients, there was subtle pleasure in every bite. The miso soup was also very comforting. Our chef Kitada was very friendly and shared with us about the origins of the different ingredients he used. I will recommend it for my fellow Muslim travellers who are willing to spend a little bit more for food experience.

The Kobe beef was out of this world! We were very excited to visit the restaurant of the "originators of teppenyaki" and they did not disappoint. The food was super delicious. The service was excellent. The view was great although we were too busy eating to really take it in. The coursed menu included appetizer pickles & a salad, grilled steak & veggies with rice, miso soup & dessert. Our meal also included a choice of a hot drink of coffee or Japanese tea at the end. Pricey for sure but well worth it for our first experience of Kobe beef!! 😋😋😋

Had to try this spot for authentic, highest quality Kobe Steak and as the originators of the teppenyaki grill. In business since 1945 for a reason - it did not disappoint. Very expense, but you get what you pay for - top quality beef. I've tried the Kobe beef, Wagyu sirloin and wagyu tenderloin. The garlic rice is amazing and a must. My favorite is honestly the wagyu tenderloin. The Kobe beef was delicious, but the wagyu tenderloin just melted in your mouth. Bean sprouts and vegetables roasted in the steak "juice" were also fantastic. One of the best meals I've ever had.

Unfortunately the experience for me did not live up to the expectation even though I had ordered the most expensive course on the menu. Including 2 flask of junmai daiginjyo the bill came up to 44k yen. It didn't taste bad but it didn't wow me too much for the price I paid for. The elder more experienced male chefs also looked like they had no interest in serving me when I first walked in. Was assigned a younger female chef with 0 social interaction for the entire night. Honestly I wouldn't be back. There are other restaurants serving teppan wagyu (maybe not Kobe beef) with similar quality and taste with a lower price point. I'd say if you have the money to spare you could visit and give it a try just for the sake of ticking the 'Kobe wagyu beef' off your try-list

Went here to try Kobe beef with a friend who has the restriction of eating Halal. Had an absolutely wonderful experience with an incredible chef that brought to us the joys of Halal A5 Kobe beef. Would absolutely recommend for anyone who wants a truly amazing experience trying Kobe beef - Halal or not. Definitely worth every penny!

Thank you chef Nagikawa who cooked our dishes so well. Kobe beef was highlight but A4 sirloin was vv good and more worthwhile esp if u do not like not too much marbling. Be prepared to pay top dollar for Kobe A5. Perhaps smaller portion of Kobe for tasting and rest sirloin good enough. A lot to eat even with al la carte order.

They have 3500yen lunch menu! 120g of Japanese beef. They said Kobe beef is just a brand like Hermès. Kobe beef lunch suddenly 20000yen lol. We changed rice to garlic rice for fee of 500yen. Good value ! No performance like they fire or throw something or paint with egg, and I liked it. Classic atmosphere. Good sightseeing lunch !

Tasty but bad value Solo diner on a Friday night: unfortunately disappointed, expecting a lot, to be fair. Service was tired, attentive (this is Japan after all), but somewhat apathetic. The 100g of Kobe beef was cooked a good medium rare but sliced and ends cooked. Ordered veggies and scallops. Big cringe when the beautiful scallops (2) were sliced in half and cooked more, but still turned out good (3 of 5 scallop rating). Overall great ingredients cooked simply and well made for a fine meal but $200 total with two $9 glasses of red wine and a side table without the amazing 8fl view made for a poor value from the place to have claimed inventing tepenyaki.

On a price value it was just not good. I went to a different steak restaurant on my first day and it was $50 for a lunch set. I decided to try this place for lunch as well and paid $160 for a lunch set. Comparing the two it was night and day. The steak here was not worth triple of what I initially paid for. Staff is nice and friendly. My personal opinion when it comes to price point there are better value somewhere else.

Misono was highly recommended by some YouTubers and it did not disappoint at all. Located on the 8th floor, the view during lunch time was not particularly nice. I can't tell for dinner time. The service staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The quality of food served here is great, especially the greens (and of course the meat). Perfectly cooked by the chef (who uses teppanyaki ustensils), the three course lunch was tasty and entertaining. Don't forget to choose how well you want your meat to be cooked. Little surprise is waiting at the end of your meal!

One of only two restaurants in Japan that serve halal Kobe steaks. The tasting menu was excellent albeit expensive. The chef respected all of the preparation guidelines for halal steaks. Excellent service and steak.

Yes credit card 👍 Great teppanyaki place. I dare say that A5 is just too much fat for me. And 200g of it is just....not fun. Stomach became funny afterwards, and even had to go to the toilet at 3 or 4 AM 🤫.... Anyway, if you want to try Kobe beef, you can try it here. Prepare to pay a hefty amount, but definitely you won't be able to find a better deal than in Kobe itself. From this experience though, I've decided that A5 Wagyu is just too much for myself. A4 is perfect. Still a bit meaty, yet still soft enough. I think A4 is their sirloin one. I don't know the difference between normal sirloin and special sirloin. We got the normal sirloin, they said it's A4, and it's really good already at less than half the price of the A5 Kobe beef.

Ordered Aus beef and Kobe beef. Was impressed by the quality of Kobe beef, really melts in the mouth. Aus beef, on the other hand was pretty tough and hard to chew. View was good!

It was such an awesome restaurant. They had the whole room booked for us. The meat was phenomenal and the service was just as phenomenal. We had such an amazing experience that the price was worth every ten we paid for it. Both the Kobe Beef and the Wagyu Beef were exquisite and mouth watering. The chef and the waitress were both great and friendly. I felt full after the full course meal. I would come again and would recommend anyone else to go there. The best part was that it was all Halal! Arrigato Misono Kobe!!!

High quality kobe beef and great atmosphere and view. Quality of the kobe beef is A4 (always good to ask) and you can really taste the marbling and fat with every bite. I ordered medium rare. Food is cooked in front of you teppanyaki style which is very enjoyable! My friend and I walked in at 5pm on a Friday and were able to be seated right away. Shortly the other seats were taken via reservation (saw a placard) so I’m not sure if we were lucky or if usually they have space right at opening. Minus one star because it is pretty expensive even for A4 and because a la carte was noticeably more pricey than the set menu which they seem to promote. I’d still go back but given it’s Kobe I’ll want to try multiple places first. Tip: Order a la carte if you don’t care for the other side courses considering you are in Kobe and might want to try other things :) the dessert shops nearby are amazing too!

Good meal, but disappointing experience for the price. We paid 515€/80000¥ for two people for one meal each and a couple normal drinks each. There were about 8-9 free seats next to the window that gave a very nice view of the Kobe streets, however we were not seated there but at a corner of the restaurant. Every single one of those seats stayed free during the entirety of our meal there yet the restaurant chose to place us in the less enjoyable corner, which is unjustifiable for a 250€/40000¥ per person course. Service was alright, waiters were few and often hard to reach but when they were there they were normal and polite i suppose. It was still nice overall but i do not understand why i would pay so much for an experience that cannot justify it. The meal itself was quite copious, the transition from one part to the other was too fast which made it hard to swallow, enjoy and digest everything before moving to the next part. Most things were really delicious obviously including the A4 Kobe meat which was the softest and best tasting we had ever eaten. Really nice tasting lobster, vegetables, some of the best rice i have ever eaten. The soy was alright. The dessert was disappointingly simple, just some sliced fruit neatly presented, zero cooking work on it and zero chef crafting, not what i would expect and accept for a 250€ per person course. Overall i would say that this NOT worth the try and the price. There are plenty of great experience to be had elsewhere and you are likely to feel disappointed like me in what you get for what you pay. I am always willing to put an extra to receive extra comfort but this is not what i got in this restaurant.

This is a must. Expect to spend a lot, but the experience and incredible taste is worth it.

Extremely overrated. Correct but cold and distant staff makes the experience even more awkward. Staff attends multiple tables at the same time making it less special than expected. It falls in the tourist trap spectrum. Kobe beef is really good but downgraded by the general vibe. Wine selection extremely limited. Vegetables quality and preparation was below average. Seafood was ordinary. Not even close to worth the price, I'd say it's a hard pass, even as a "once in a lifetime" experience. Had the Teppan course, JPY 26000.

The best restaurant for Kobe Beef in Kobe, excellent service and food. I can not recommend this enough

Unfortunately we started off the wrong foot. They didn’t want us to sit down although our hotel made a reservation in advance. They repeatedly told us they are completely booked out and it seemed strange as they were acting as they didn’t speak english (which afterwards they did very well). Same happened to guests who arrived later as well (also tourists with reservation). Kobe Beef was very good but not worth the hype. We had at least the same taste if not even better at regular waguy steak restaurants. What I didn’t like was that they gave us not two full steaks, it looked like they cut some pieces off from other steak’s (but that could be a common thing I honestly don’t know). For that the price point is way too high but still the food experience was good but this was definitely the first and last time overpaying that much for a brand/marketing name „Kobe“.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Everything was good - from appetisers to dessert. We ordered the grand lunch menu for 2. So in addition to the excellent kobe beef, we enjoyed the lobster too which was cooked perfectly. The remainder of the lobster was used in the miso soup which was great - so rich in flavour and yet not salty.

Best place for enjoying Kobe Beef. It's the original place of this restaurant. The staff and the chef at the Teppanyaki are very friendly and explain about the dishes.
