Awesome place for Sukiyaki (or Shabu-Shabu or Udon). The staff was friendly despite us not understanding each other much and the Sukiyaki was amazing! Great experience as not a touristy place, beef quality was top notch, and a nice lady helped us cook the Sukiyaki to get it going. Wonderful cost environment and a really good experience! Costs about 50,000 yen per person but totally worth it. Would come back again.

Great place for traditional Shabu Shabu or Sukiyaki (japanese Hot Pot). Extremely warm-hearted service. Not cheap, but 5000yen p.P. is reasonable for the quality of food. No English-speaker but basic english menu available.

Wonderful shabu shabu restaurant! The beef was amazing, the ambience was cozy and private. Won't think twice about returning.

Really authentic restaurant on the 7th floor of an inconspicuous building on the main road. You will have to google translate the japanese advert on the sign board to confirm the right name on the sign board outside the lift. Once inside, you will be pleasantly surprised by the decor. The ladies are really friendly and will teach you or prepare the meal for you with no rushing. They try and explain in English as best as they can. The meat is real Kobe and not inferior quality. At the end of the cooking, ask for udon noodles to finish off the broth in the pot - you really get the taste until the end. Starters and ice cream sorbet was a bonus complimentary... not too expensive given the experience here...

Where do I even start. We tried to find the place, from another review we were told the Google address is wrong, so you must go to their website for the correct address which is what we did. Once you get there look for the Sinmichi Building. It is on the 7th floor. We got in and were seated in a very cozy, but modern Japanese style room by a few waitresses. It was a Thursday night on Halloween day at around 7:30pm and we could hear maybe only 2 other tables. We didnt have reservations. The waitresses didnt know too much English, but just enough to help and they had an english menu to aid that. There were 4 or 5 different sets you could order. We got the Sukiyaki set for 5000 yen each (8% tax + 10% tip is additonal). I'm normally a big eater, and my wife is a small eater, but this was enough to get me around 90% full since the food is eaten in a certain pace. There was a good variety of vegetables, and around 8 huge slices of premium Kobe beef on a separate plate. They cook it two different ways, one by grilling the beef by itself, and then inside the Sukiyaki broth. Oh, and by the way, you get your own personal waitress who cooks everything for you to serving it into your bowl so no need to touch anything except putting it into your mouth. The quality of the beef was amazing, so tender, supplemented by the broth and sugar they sprinkle on top. A good balance of sweet and salty to bring out the flavour of the beef. Vegetables were market fresh. This was by far the best meal we had in the Kansai area, and it cost only around 13000 yen after all was said and done.

Food is amazing! Great service. They only have 4 - 5 different sets on their menu - Shabu shabu, sukiyaki etc. The egg used for Sukiyaki is very fresh. Do note that the address on Google is wrong. Refer to their website instead.

Fantastic dinner at Komon. We had Kobe beef sukiyaki for two person and was served by a sweet lady for the entire meal. Each piece of meat was cooked beautifully and served to us, all we had to do was enjoy our meal fully. We will definitely revisit when we come to Kobe again, thank you for the top notch meal. It’s the best Kobe beef sukiyaki we have had!

There are english speaking staff available, not sure if its because we are foreigners they sent us a japanese staff which we couldnt communicate and she quickly cooked all the sukiyaki food including beef and vegetables in 30mins. Feels like they just wanna quickly get done with our meal. They asked us to add an udon for some carbs, we ordered one, the same staff just pour the udon into the sukiyaki bowl (fire was turned off already at the point) leaving it untouched for 5 mins, ive to go ask the staff to follow up what’s going on. Until then, they realize the fire was not on, so they light it up again. But after they light it up, they just left the room again and left the udon untouched and the pot is almost fully dried up already. Ive to ask the staff to turn off the fire twice now before they food is all dried up and burnt. The service doesnt add up to the value, im writing the review while eating because im really not satisfied with the service.

Sukiyaki Kobe Beef and A5, it's very delicious with warm and kind service. Note: it might hard to find restuarant as it's on 7 Floor.
