Welcoming staff and chef. Waited about 20 min for a seat with no reservation. Had the Kobe tenderloin and it was fantastic. Helpful suggestions about which sauce to dip, and the meal was paired with high quality seasonal sides. Expensive, but that’s to be expected

The food was amazing! The meat was very tender and juicy, delicious! Not only was the food great, but the service was also 10 out of 10! The staff was super friendly and kind and the whole place is very tourist friendly in case you can't speak Japanese.

Amazing Kobe beef - very much recommended! - everything was delicious though. Great service and impeccable presentation. Will definitely come again on our next visit.

A fantastic experience and worth the splurge on yourself if you are undecided about it. We actually didn’t realise they had another restaurant so close to the one we went to first which was fully booked then decided to walk down the street and thought we’d wing it choosing a place then saw the same name and we were able to enter instantly. We had the A5 110g set as we thought we wouldn’t go overboard on the splurge. The meal was a great set of food and we were more than satisfied with every part. We upgraded to garlic rice as it’s the best and the steak was softer than warm butter. Pretty satisfied for the quality, amazing service for the two of us with the bill equaling just over $180 AU. 100% recommended

Delicious Kobe beef. The chef and waiters are very nice and provide a great service. Having the menu is a good option, but you can find cheaper options for Kobe beef in the city.

Good food, good service. The beef was divine. Go for the lunch set to save some bucks if you can. But it's worth it none the less.

Fantastic Experience! Went in as a family with our 6-year old daughter. Exceptional steak, very friendly chefs that work the teppan expertly and offered great energy and conversation. Steak was cooked beautifully and their method is done such that it will be to your liking because of how they control the temperature. The other appetizers and accompaniments were equally as lovely.

We showed up without reservations and they were able to seat us after a few moments. They had an English menu to help us decide on what to order. Kotoha-san was very helpful in explaining the menu and options for any questions we had. Once we selected our choices, Hire-san provided a spectacular performance while he cooked our delicious beef. The taste of all the cuts were very delicious. If you decide to dine here, you will not regret it!

We happened to walk past and saw that it was 4.7 stars on google and decided to try our luck without reservation. We were lucky to get a seat at 7.30pm and the chef was able to speak english! She recommended us types of ways to enjoy Kobe Beef!! She was very skilful and put up a performance while preparing our meal. We ordered the Kobe Beef Rump and Sirloin! We actually enjoyed the rump more as it was more juicy but chewy. Do upgrade your rice to the garlic fried rice, you won’t regret!! The overall service was spectacular and we were super satisfied with our experience!! We were all smiles throughout the dinner 😄

An incredible that I booked on recommendation from a friend. The food, the service and the atmosphere are all impeccable. We went in a group of 9 (2 familes with 5 children aged from 12 to 17), and everyone had an amazing time. Definitely the best beef I've ever tasted, but all other parts of the meal were equally superb.

We had an amazing walk in experience! The tenderloin was the best meat i had my entire life, the chef made it so good in front of us and explained everything. The side dishes were on point and the ambience was cozy and dark although it was 1pm it felt like a dinner at primetime! 10/10 totally worth the 100€per person!

(Trip was made back then on 7 Dec 2019, 2 years before the Covid-19 Pandemic hit) For our 3rd and final Wagyu experience during our Kansai trip 2 years ago, we had Kobe Steak Ishida in Kobe, for the Kobe Wagyu. It was teppanyaki style similar to Matsukiya’s but had a better ambience from its warm decor. The dishes were presented well and the chef took great care in preparing the steak for us. Even though the Kobe Wagyu might not have been melt-in-your-mouth tender (when compared to the zoom Wagyu we had in Shiga Prefecture), it was still deliciously soft, juicy and had a subtle beefiness with every bite. The sirloin was a more flavourful cut than the tenderloin, while the tenderloin was more tender than the sirloin. Overall it was an enjoyable meal and a good experience.

Lunch set was delicious. A place to not miss! The food is cooked in front of you. English menu is available. The cooks also speak English and suggest how to eat the food. I would definitely come here again!

Don’t be like us and make reservations ahead of time. The Kobe beef was great. We ordered Kobe Beef Sirloin lunch set and Kobe Beef Tenderloin from A la carte menu for two people. It’s a process, don’t rush and have patience. Credit cards are accepted.

Came here for dinner and it was mouth watering fantastic. The Kobe beef really does taste the best in Kobe, Japan. The chief was kind explained everything as he was preparing it. The Kobe steak literally fell apart in our mouth. Highly recommend.

Walked in with no reservation around 6PM - got full pretty quickly after we got in. The course was really well executed. Best steak I’ve ever had. 15000 Yen per person. Great staff and incredible all around

OMG, it's unbelievable how soft and tender true Kobe beef is really like. Many places say they offer Kobe beef, but until you've had it in an authentic place like Ishida, you don't really know what it's like. They serve a range of Kobe beef here, I recommend going for the A5 if it's your first time. It has the highest marble rating of BMS 12. The meal is pricey, but it's a full course meal. Not just the beef. The service is also good, although sometimes the chefs can be a bit serious. But chat with them a bit and they will be happy to converse back with you, especially about the food.

We were lucky to get seats without a reservation. I heard you should make a reservation normally. We had Kobe beef lunch, and it was a good set. Our chef was nice and even took a picture of us.

Wow, what an experience! Looking for a lifelong memory of enjoying world class beef? Then look no further. This is the place. The teppenyaki style with very experienced and professional chefs, super kind and beautiful waitresses is an experience in itself. The staff speaks good English and will make this a memorable experience for you! No need to talk about the meat, as it's in its own league. The pairings, sauces and sake are top class (don't miss ordering the sake for beef bonding!!!). Reservations are helpful, but if you drop by at opening time you'll likely find a spot as well. Overall a most pleasant experience!

Amazing Kobe beef steak, and a wonderful service experience. Moreover, it is a pleasure to watch the chef performing their awesome cooking skills.

We had lunch here. We ordered the Kobe A5 and A4 set for around 8000 and 6000 yen respectively. Service: good in general 4-4.5/5 Food: slightly disappointing, I had better Kobe beef before. The 'melt in your mouth sensation' really wasn't quite at the top level. 2-2.5/5 There was also a live worm in my salad! Although, I didn't take any points off for this as I understand that sometimes this happens. Price: our bill was around 18000 for 2 sets and 2 glasses of plum wine. Approximately what we expected. 3-3.5/5 Overall: ~3 stars. Will probably not come again. Feel slightly awful saying this though as the service was good...

Pricy kobe beef place. They hv lunch set menu which is still exp. And the beef is so so only. It is as per the wagyu and see no soo much of hype about kobe beef. The service is fairly good although compared to other Japanese restaurants. There's a few branch within walking distance. So you don't really have to book for seat. They also have other set menu like fish or hamburg set. Overall not bad but not a big hype

If you can afford it, it’s worth it. I’ve never tasted beef like this before, it’s truly a unique dining experience. We each got 130gr tenderloin, which was small but mighty. In addition to the Kobe beef they start off with 3 amuse bouche, then a soup, then an addictive salad, then the steak with veggies, then rice and bean sprouts. We left feeling full and 100% satisfied!!

A five star Teppanyaki dining experience where if one is willing to splurge, it is a worthy meal. Going to Kobe means it's a must to experience the quality of their famous beef. We tried the A4 Kobe Beef set and what is shown is a double portion of beef as I went there with my wife. The surroundings and environment were top notch as the care to detail and presentation were outstanding. The hot cooking panel was polished and shiny at every counter, which shows their pride in service. Water was also topped up frequently. There is no rush to finish your meal and the chef can either chat with you or leave you be, depending on your language and social capabilities. The beef itself was wonderfully tender and succulent. We went for rare as in my opinion, there is no other way to have it. The chef would cut portions of the beef to cook in various styles and intensity hence don't worry if you like it fully cooked. You will get some as that. The top up for the garlic rice is a must as its a great way to fill up at the end of the meal. Fragrant and well cooked right in front of us. There are branches of this place scattered around Kobe so try your luck if you didn't make any bookings as its probably required. We were lucky as walk in customers but people after us were turned away. Having Kobe Beef in Kobe is surely an extravagance but its a meal one must try.

👍 It is a long-established Sapporo beer hall in Kobe. It collapsed during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, but is now operating in a new building. The fried chicken is very delicious and famous. It's the perfect place to have a beer and talk with your friends.
