We didn’t do our research and didn’t manage to try Kobe beef steak during our trip to Kobe as we didn’t reserve any restaurants. We came across this restaurant and decided to try it because the design concept is really cool (check it out). Ordered the double cheese burger with Kobe beef patty, with an additional patty, cheese and egg. The food, service, music; everything was on point. Definitely coming back to this place again. Give it a try!

I went here to try Kobe beef for cheaper, and it was starred in lonely planet. The super Wanto Kobe beef burger with Kobe steak on top (3800¥) was tasty. The avocado burger was even tastier (probably because I'm a fan of mayo on burgers) and cheaper. The burger and fries portion are smaller than your normal burger place, but enough to feel full and not stuffed. I didn't know what to expect. I've had a tastier burger and tastier steak in other places, but perhaps I'm not that refined. I liked it, and I'm glad I tried it. I probably wouldn't shell out the big yen again until I went to an even fancier steakhouse.

The burger was very good! The staff is kind and helpful. You can choose between normal Wagyu burger variant or Kobe Beef when ordering.

You use a QR code to bring up the menu on your phone which made English translations easy.. I ordered the avocado burger and really liked its sauce. The "ketchup" they use is very marinara like for us Americans but I would return no doubt! Right around 2000¥ per person (drinking water) to upgrade to kobe beef on the burger.

Truly 100% beef patty which is SO hard to find in Japan. Most burgers have the consistency of meatloaf so I was happy to get an actual burger here. Be warned that they add wasabi to the patty, not enough to cause you any alarm but enough to make you wonder what is that taste that is coming from the burger. I chased that taste until the final bite before realizing what it was. And the pictures make the burger look larger then they really are. All in all I would eat here again.

Very good burgers in a old-diner-style location. Very friendly staff. Quick service. Credit card payment is possible.

Great burgers from a great restaurant. My son wanted to try a Wagyu Beef Burger, so a quick Google search pointed us towards Wanto Burger. I ordered the Blue Cheese Burger, and it was truly one of the best burgers I've ever had. The patty was medium rare, which is exactly as I ordered it. The Heartland Beer I had complemented the burger nicely. The fries were crispy, and there were just enough of them to be a side that wasn't too filling. My son had the Roast Beef Burger, and he too thoroughly enjoyed it. Love the styling of the restaurant. They even have a pirahna in a tank. Check out the washroom... it's a work of art. :) Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing burger joint. The interior decor is unique, it's more like something you would find in Ame-mura in Osaka instead of downtown Kobe. The server/chef was extremely welcoming and made every effort to introduce us to the menu and how to eat it. The real highlight of the restaurant are the actual burgers. We had the ultimate Wanto Burger, Avocado Burger and Cheeseburger and didn't regret any. Don't be offset by the price for the ultimate wanto Burger, it is absolutely worth the price tag. The Kobe beef slices are seared perfectly on the outside and rare on the inside. Obviously you aren't getting A5 beef but who cares when it's equally as tasty?

Succulent burger with a rustic American backdrop to boot. The aesthetics of both the burger and the setting cannot be beat. With authentic Kobe beef at a fair price, the sandwich is just delicious and unique with its wasabi condiment mix.

I've been to this place two times already, and both times I've been very satisfied! They have phenomenal burgers that have the option of being served with either Kobe Beef or Wagyu Beef. I've tried both options, and they are tasty with the Kobe Beef winning me over. The buns are made in-store and are fresh and delicious with the bottom bun toasted underneath as well to add in a bit of textural contrast. The decor and design of the store is reminiscent of an American diner, offering a vibe that's quite hard to find in Kobe (the washroom itself as a work of art!) My only gripe would be that the burgers are quite small for the price, and even though fries are served as a side, I was left feeling like I was still hungry, and the people I came with also felt the same. Overall a pretty good place to experience a nice burger in a cozy and familiar atmosphere, highly recommended albeit you should mind that the prices are on the expensive side and that the burgers are small.

A small burger joint serving Wagyu and Kobe beef that is somewhat representative of an American bar bistro. We got the avocado Kobe beef burger and the double cheeseburger with Kobe beef. While the service was good, unfortunately the food was only rather average in nature. Specifically, it could benefit from a lot more flavour and sauce, as we felt the flavour was somewhat lacking for the price we paid. Our overall opinion was that a whopper from Burger King/hungry Jacks would have tasted better than this burger we had here. The beef patty was cooked as we requested for medium rare, but it was difficult to appreciate the taste specifically in the burger. Overall, we would recommend that to truly appreciate the nature of Kobe beef, to try a restaurant that serves Kobe beef steak around Kobe.

Stopped here for a burger while waiting for laundry load to cycle around the corner. Great burger and very nice staff.

An American style burger restaurant holed away in the middle of Sannomiya. It has a very interesting style of a 50s American diner mixed with cool graffiti art strewn across the walls. The burgers were delicious, and there’s also an option for a Kobe beef patty. It’s around 3,200¥ for the patty, but for Kobe beef that’s pretty reasonable. Definitely recommend stopping by here if you want good burgers and a cheaper alternative to a Kobe beef restaurant

Simply the best burger we have had in 6 weeks in Japan. The piranha in the fish tank gives a very special atmosphere in this unique place.

Great burger experience, the owners are fantastic hosts. Had a nice chat with them, funky interiors made it very interesting together with their pet piraña.

So went for the SUPER WANTO!! $52AUD. Mouth melting beef. Kobe two ways. That's awesome., But felt it missed something. Was just a meaty feel. 5% of me feels that $52 is bit steep. Rest of me is like, well it's Japan haha. Decent joint to try! Wagyu Roast beef burger is ace 🤙🏼

Cool place with a friendly staff. The juicy burger was grilled to perfection! Be sure to say hello to the giant catfish, he is 15 years old!

Ordered a burger with fries, the burger was cooked perfectly and the portion sizes were just right to not still be hungry and not over full.

Really great burgers. The Kobe beef burger is good, but the Wagyu beef is just as good at 1000¥ less in price. Everything is home made and very fresh. This time I had the Triple Cheese Pine Burger. So good.

Really good Kobe beef hamburgers! 🍔👨‍🍳 Great ingredients, great staff, really good local place, not a tourist trap. Say hi to "Shogun" their 17 years old catfish 🐟

This little restaurant makes burgers with personality. The famous Wanto burger can be served as a double. Choices of Kobe or Wagyu for the patties are available for all menu items. The food was delicious. Service was amazing. Very clean and cool place with 70’s rock playing in the background.

👍 It is a long-established Sapporo beer hall in Kobe. It collapsed during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, but is now operating in a new building. The fried chicken is very delicious and famous. It's the perfect place to have a beer and talk with your friends.
