Absolutely superb. The chefs speak English and advise what to order based on your preference and budget. They encourage videos/photos to make the meal a real experience. Kobe beef is delicious but the staff make the meal coke alive. This restaurant is not as pricey as others and the steak is top quality. There are limited spaces for seating and reservations are required for peak hours. If you are planning on spending the money to enjoy real Kobe beef, then why not enjoy the experience of being involved in the meal as well?

If you are a steak fan like me, then this is the place to go, as it's the holy grail of all beef. A5, BMS12 Kobe sirloin beef is a god sent meat. The sweetness, juiciness of the beef literally melts in your mouth. I don't know what other beef can top this one. However it's pricey, at 21k yen for the lunch set for 170gs. But this unforgettable experience is well worth it to me. However, if you are not a super steak fan, then there is no need to order the Kobe beef. We also ordered a non-Kobe A5 beef ribeye, and that was really good as well. For 8000yen, it's already the top of the line beef. One negative thing is that they served me spolit sour wine that was opened a day ago, which is pretty surprising given the price point. but they did change it for us. The garlic rice is divine, best we have had. Overall, definitely here to enjoy Love beef if you are a super beef lover.

Utter gastronomic experience. Many friends told me that I have to try Kobe beef at least once in my life and they are absolutely right. The melt in your mouth feeling is to die for. Easily the fattiest and juiciest beef I had in my life. Service was impeccable as well. The food was prepared in a teppanyaki style and the chef would explain what’s the best way and diffident combinations to pair your beef with. The vegetables were fresh and gorgeous too. The staff were all extremely attentive and provided an amazing service too. Definitely recommend making a reservation before coming as it gets real packed.

Outstanding... we chose the cheapest Kobe beef and still it was the best meat I've ever tasted in my life. Plus the whole experience with the chef making everything in front of us was great. He was friendly and made it sure to cook everything according to our preferences. We really appreciated it. Expensive but worth trying at least once in your life

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Reservation is a MUST.. there is not much room, and they are always busy. The experience is very personal, since there is not many seats. I love that the restaurant has an agreement with a certain farm, and sources their beef from real A5 Kobe Wagyu farms. While the sirloin was awesome.. the filet was just OUT OF THIS WORLD! The A5 Kobe Wagy filet is worth every $$$. Too many good things to say about this place.. it's a MUST!

You get a personal chef to cook the steak and vegetables for you and gives you recommendations as to how to try each bite. The eggplant and sweet potato they served was so good. Waiting staff was also very nice and attentive. Since its Kobe Beef its a bit pricy but as a one time experience, this is a great place to visit.

This will probably be the best beef you will ever taste. We had the Sirloin and Fillet, both set B and the second option in grams. Was it worth the price? To us it was an excellent choice. You get a really nice course, you get to taste two premium kobe steaks from different parts of beef. The chef will make everything (except the soup and appetizer) in front of you and you will be amazed by his skills! We had a true master in front of us and he adviced us how he suggested to prepare it (medium or rare etc.) And how it is best to start tasting the beef. He adviced us to eat it with a little wasabi, salt and the perfectly cooked garlic. Staff was great and +1 for the manager who kept an eye on everything including sending out very noisy tourists who did not have manners. This was a really good thing in my opinion. So be SURE to reserve a seat beforehand and be RESPECTFUL. This is not just some American grill place, it is a very special experience with Japanese customs. So please be respectful!

It’s one of the cheaper alternative for a delicious Kobe beef teppanyaki lunch! You can have a standard course with beef, rice, soup and a salad for a reasonable price, and the service and quality is great! I recommend the filet or rump. For normal western beef, the beef sirloin would be the tastiest but with wagyu the fat is a bit overwhelming. Less fatty cuts have more texture.

Went there without reservation. We ordered Kobe Beef Rib Eye Steak and Fillet Steak for dinner, both with Course B. Kobe Beef taste softer and lighter compare to normal fillet, but both still taste very good! Appetiser, soup and salad taste good too! Chef and staffs who serve us is very friendly, they explained the menu and part of beef for you to choose.

SO GOOD. Our chef Notani Kenji was so incredible - cooked each bite as we were eating so it was timed perfectly. All the food was excellent. We had the Kobe filet and sirloin and garlic rice - best meal of our lives. All reservations essentially have a private chef. This is VERY worth taking a trip from wherever you are and worth every penny!!!! You will not regret it!

Gave only 1 star because of sanitary issue. The chef used a spoon to take out garlic pieces and accidentally dropped the spoon on the floor. Instead of using a new one the chef picked up the spoon and used it again… very surprised by the unprofessionalism especially considering we are spending about $100 USD per person to dine here. I hope this does not happen to any other customers.

Overall 9/10 They accepted a walk-in, luckily there was a group leaving and we waited only 20mins. Most of the cuts were already sold out but we got their premium a5 BMS15 champion? Anyways the course was great and the service was excellent! More @vin.foodjournal

A trip to Kobe is incomplete without trying the world renowned Kobe beef. I went with the Kobe ribeye Omakase, which included premium Kobe beef and vegetables, cooked teppanyaki style. The entire meal was a sort of dining experience, where we watched the chef delicately prepared, seasoned, and cooked our food. The meat was tender and exquisitely marbled, a beauty on its own as its flavor profile is unique in that the fat content wasn’t overwhelming as is typical of most Wagyu. My only gripe regarding the meal was the Kobe beef that arrived at our table needed to have the fatty pieces on the edges trimmed, which for the price, I assumed we would be paying for pre-trimmed meat. Additionally, there weren’t any fancy accompaniments to pair with the beef, as it only had salt and pepper, wasabi, and fried onions. Overall, I think Mouriya is worth visiting for those seeking to try Kobe beef for the first time.

Everything was excellent right from entering the building to leaving. They take your jacket, help push your seat in and you get your own chef. And of course, you can't go wrong with eating Kobe beef in one of the best restaurants in Kobe!

My partner and I throughly enjoyed our meal here during the summertime. Nakao Hiroshi was our chef and he expertly crafted a delicious teppanyaki meal. We splurged for the Kobe beef and it was absolute worth it.

Had the best kobe beef dining experience here. We ordered the lunch sets with sirloin and fillet cut. The lunch set includes soup, salad, veggies, rice and a drink to end the meal with. Food was amazingly delicious. The beef was so tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. Service was exceptional, from the host to the waiter and chef everyone was so friendly.

Visited this restaurant for lunch. They were able to find a seat for us without a reservation. Ordered the Kobe beef sirloin lunch! The lunch set comes with soup, salad, grilled vegetables and rice. You can upgrade the rice to fried rice with garlic for 1,000 yen. The sirloin was amazing!! Literally melts in your mouth. The chef was very friendly as well and explained how best to eat the beef (w salt, wasabi & garlic). Overall, highly recommended if you are visiting this area!

This Kobe beef restaurant is a few steps off the Train Station and one of the few that remains open after regular lunch hours. Once you order you'll get a cook just for your party. They have good options of Kobe beef that are more expensive than the other restaurants in the area. But if like me you are there when all the other restaurants close for a break between lunch and dinner, this will do. We ordered Fillet and A5 Waygu Sirloin. Both cuts were delicious, buttery and tender. This was served with a pumpkin cream, green salad your choice of bread or rice and grilled vegetables. At the end you can select between coffee or tea.

Had fillet wagyu and rump Kobe. Amazing,. Preferred the rump Kobe. Texture like fois gras. Taste excellent. Very popular, make sure to book well in advance. We could only get 11.30am booking through our guide/ driver who knew and recommended this place. Great experience.

One of the best Kobe beef teppanyaki restaurants in Kobe (if not the best). Definitely my favourite Kobe beef restaurant. Quality of the meats and dishes is outstanding. Great service with brilliant chefs (you can watch them cook and interact with them as they cook). This restaurant tends to be really popular and crowded so you will need to make reservations in advance. They may also refer you to their branches (2 of them) further down the same road at Sannomiya. Highly recommended.

Teppanyaki style of steak where they cook the food in front of you. The staff is nice and kindly shows and explains what they are about to cook. Have English menu and the staff can speak in English. The food was amazing, with a few selection of the cuts you can have. And if you have friends with you, chef can split the cuts equally so each of you can enjoy different cuts. Although it was quite expensive, 18500 yen for me, it was definitely worth having it at least once. The steak was really tender and just looking at the marbling on it was fascinating. It is the famous Kobe Beef after all.

Very nice experience in this restaurant! You have the possibility to choose between 3 menus, I truly recommend the third one with Kobe beef (12,000yen). The staff speaks English and Japanese so you can exchange with them. They explain you how to taste the meat and cook it in front of you!

Luckily we managed to get a seat without waiting. The service staff was amazing! We ordered the Kobe Sirloin each and were amazed by the quality. The beef was cooked by a chef in front of us together with vegetables. 10/10

Not the greatest meal I’ve ever had. Could make the exact same at home for cheaper. Chef was friendly and taught us steps to eat the beef. Also asked us how we liked our beef cooked. Other staff stood at the door just chatting to each other they looked lost. For the price I would have expected great service but was below par. The Kobe beef was alright wasn’t really melt in your mouth. Would give this a miss for the price definitely not worth it.

It was truly a lovely experience! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The Kobe beef was heavenly smooth and tasted like paradise. The complementary dishes worked very well with the star of this meal. I can really recommend this place for a great culinary experience!

Absolutely delicious. The Kobe beef just melts in your mouth. It's on the pricey side but was worth every penny. Everything in this meal was on point, from the starter to the soup. The smell and aroma of the beef cooking fills the entire restaurant The customer service was superb too, the chef was very attentive and prepared our food with great care and precision. The view is perfect from our seat and he really made an effort trying to start a conversation with us. I can see eating here again.

I got the 180 gram Kobe beef ribeye steak with three large beers for around $120. This was an awesome experience and the restaurant atmosphere was nice. The chef cooks your steak right in front of you and tells you how to enjoy it the most. We sat with a group of seven on the third floor and had the whole place to ourselves. I highly recommend you try Kobe beef if you get the chance, it melts in your mouth like butter and is worth every penny.
