🫤 I wouldn't recommend it. A) the food was good but realistically average for what you pay. You CAN have better Kobe beef at other places. B) the service was terrible. I understand the place is a one-person show however the person was extremely rude with us and other customers. Fully acknowledge there... People often mention beef, Kobe, chef, experience, time, good, nice, price, meat, quality,

I understand the place is a one-person show however the person was extremely rude with us and other customers. Fully acknowledge there are different customs in different places but speaking with that tone and sentiment is not nice. We were honestly very close to just stand up and leave.

This was our first time eating Kobe beef. We found this place and the lunch corse online and thought the price was rather reasonable compared to other places so we made a reservation. The place holds only 6 guests and the food is prepared right in front of you, at the counter (no tables and chairs). Before entering there were lots of signs written by the owner, asking people to not come in without a reservation during the certain time period and to close the door behind when entering. Lots of people who came after us didn’t read any of them and kept being told off by the owner lol. I felt that he was sick of telling people the usual same old things. So when you come here, please do read those signs before even thinking of opening the door. :-p And better, make a reservation. The owner seemed very professional and he remembered about my allergy and served the food accordingly which I appreciated a lot. Each dish was magnificent and looked like an art. The beef melted in our mouth. We never tasted any meat better than what we had here and that was sensational. Although the lunch course was not so expensive (6000yen per person) we were served a generous amount of Kobe beef including diced stakes. We were absolutely happy about everything. The next time we go to Japan we will make sure to stop by again.

Overpriced theaterical show. The meat quality is decent but for over ¥20,000 per person, you are better off going to any yakiniku (烧肉) restaurants and buy the same at 1/3 the price. You do your own BBQ thou. But I guarantee you you get to try way way more variety at way way low price. Of course, if you prefer to watch someone cooking in front of you (i.e searing the meat), then why not. Ps: the quantity of beef in the photo is near ¥30,000, with a bowl of rice and soup.

Good experience and attentive chef Yasuda who explained how to use the different condiments for the kobe beef. It was a good teppanyaki experience for me. No doubt expensive.

Chanced across this place when looking for somewhere to try Kobe beef, and we were extremely fortunate to do so! It was already 21:30 by the time we got to this little 8-seat teppan restaurant, and we were the only people there. The chef was extremely friendly, explained about the food as he cooked in front of us, and cooked each bite perfectly. The pricing is what you might expect for such an intimate experience with choice ingredients, but absolutely worth it for the quality, and one of my best experiences dining out.

It was the first time we had Kobe beef and we were delighted. The quality of the meat is outstanding, it is so tender, flavorful, and it pleasantly melts in your mouth. The restaurant is small, cozy with a great atmosphere. The chef is very friendly and funny and he even asked to take pictures with us. The price varies depending upon what part of the cattle you go for, but prepare your pockets $$$$... We spent ~¥30,000, it was worth it every penny!

Chef appears seriously when taking orders and cooking. There is a do not disturb vibe. The cooking process itself is quite a show. Precision cuts of the ingredients, flipping of the beef on the sides to lock in the liquids. After the main cooking and completion of plating, the chef starts to relax and is able to smile while answers to our questions about himself and his shop, about the beef and etc. Is like a different person during cooking and off cooking. The food taste great. Beef is served around 40g each time, when you finish the 40g of beef, chef will proceed to cook another 40g. So depending on the amount of beef you ordered, the meat is cook and serve in intervals to keep the meat warm. My wife and I had the cut of the day which is around ¥6800+ for 80g, while our friends had the premium ones which cost alot more (¥30000+) Great for adults who enjoy the having nice food cook in front of you. Don't recommend for those with children as the hot plate is right front within reach. Chef and owner speaks some English and tried his best to communicate with us. By the way, the garlic fried rice taste great, do go for the fried rice upgrade

Delicious. Chef Hinokami took care of us. Fun photos, instagram, and good food. Ordered the rare part and fillet and he told us what part of the cow it came from! Only drawback is the price being on the higher end in comparison to restaurants I've seen nearby (the whole neighbourhood is filled with Kobe beef restaurants), but what you get is what you pay for. We went in around 15:00 and it was a nice ambience. Thank you for a great experience!

Chef communicated how to eat the beef and it was a very pleasant experience. We bought the more expensive part and it was really delicious, chef would wait till you finish the serving before making a new one. A small and cozy restaurant! It may be hard to find but refer to my pictures!!

Amazing experience tonight! Best Kobe steak! Me and my boyfriend didn't make reservations but we walked in on a Sunday night at 6pm and it was empty even though we checked online that read there was no availability for that night. We had the Kobe steak set which consisted of raw steak, cooked, salad, dessert and garlic rice. Great chef, friendly and attentive. We loved it here! Prepare to pay a high price for a quality experience! Thank you from Canada!

We came here to try Kobe beef for the first time, it's a very impressive experience! The chef is quite friendly and communicate well. Each piece of meat was cooked with care, very delicious, worth the money. This small shop has a good vibe, modern but classy. The chef also know how to say thank you in Thai :)

This tiny store sits 7 in front of the chef, and he runs the entire shop solo (no waiters, not even a cash clerk). It’s an impressive undertaking as the service is as-much entertainment as it is about producing a delicious meal. The steak is incredible, kudos to the cows. The presentation is art, and the steak will be grilled at once and then slowly finished on the grill, 3 pieces at a time, so that it’s always perfectly heated as you eat. The smallest portion (80g) of prime sirloin is more than enough for lunch, and if you wallet is able, I’d upsize for dinner. We got the a-la-carte 80g sirloin, and it comes with rice/miso as it was lunch. Reservations are recommended, though I doubt you’ll come here off the street as a spur-of-the-moment decision. The Japanese reservation site is a bit of a hassle, but you can leave Google Translate on and make your way through the whole way. If you’re required to put your name down in Katakana, you can convert your name online to the right characters and copy it over. It still works and sounds correct too. The store is right on top of the subway: off the main street, you’ll find a corridor that leads into the building. A sign will point at the store. The corridor is a bit strange… it’s like an office, but outdoor. There will be a menu outside so you’ll know it when you get there. If you can afford it, highly, highly recommended.

It is a very delicious dinner with Kobe beef. The chef is very nice and professional. We are luckily be the only one table in that night, so the chef can very focus on us. Highly recommend!

It truly was a wonderful experience, it was my first time trying Kobe beef. The menu was thoughtfully put together and was super delicious. Regarding the beef, each piece was grilled ‘á la minute’ - perfect. The chef is very friendly and communicative - he responded immediately after my reservation with specifics to accommodate & we had a nice chat when I was there. The restaurant is very nice, modern-classic and cosy. Thank you again for this wonderful experience!!

We were the only customers. The chef served an excellent menu with all variations of Kobe beef. He explained every course and how to eat it. It was our first time and we were blown away by the taste. Each piece was cooked to perfection just in time to eat it.

Chance upon Kobe Tanryu thru recommendation thru YouTube. We are sceptical as the small Resturant was empty. Only about 10 seats. However after viewing the menu and the service was good. We went ahead with his recommendation of 2 set of A5 Kobe sirloin and prime beef. Reasonable price at 25850Yen for 2. We are indeed surprise by the quality. It was delicious. Highly recommend Chef Hinokami who is friendly & service oriented. We will be back again.

Loving and cherishing every single bites. Great experience through out the whole dining. Fresh and premium ingredient and attentive chief, must try the seasonal kobe beef shasimi when combination such as umi with kobe beef wrap with seaweed just bring in different taste. Lunch is always better than dinner when later impose 10% charges.

Very good Kobe beef, all the food and drinks were great and very nice service. We tried two different parts of the beef and both very good. Price is high but the quality is too. Recommended
