👍👍 Amazing dinner with friendly staff. We had the select Kobe beef. Two of us split the tinder loin and the sirloin. Came with lots of extras, salad, soup, desert. We added on foie gras, which was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant. A little hard to find. It's on the corner on the third floor... Pretty amazing place to try out your first experience for Kobe beef. Price definitely is rocket. But. It matches the experience. We went in thinking to just go in a have a small dinner coz we are just selecting smaller portion of the beef - it turns out to be like 5 or 6 course dinner. (Not even exaggerating) I'm sorry if this becomes a spoiler for you but I hope this restaurant deserves more recognition as we're surprised there isn't much queue during this 2023 sakura season. We went on the peak of the bloom season and we are still able to walk in despite the signage outside says "Fully booked" , it could be that we went for an early dinner around 5pm+ Anyway thx for reading, and a shoutout to our chef - Okazaki-san!!

It was a great fine dining experience. The kobe beef was superb, tender and good quality. Ordered an A5 Kobe beef set (10400 yen) and a black beef set (3900). Reservation is needed to ensure a slot. We tried our luck to walk in, and we were pretty lucky to be able to book a slot for 2 hours later. Service is very good and staffs are very friendly. Highly recommended.

Had the A5 (150g) Kobe beef lunch set. Absolutely delicious. Both the chef and waiter was very friendly. Chef speaks some English and has tried to engage in a conversation with me. I recommend making a reservation. I didn't and luckily (as a party of 1) they has just one space for me. I saw multiple group getting turned away as there is no room for them.

Its very slightly upmarket feels to the place. On the pricier end but if you come to kobe for the beef you have come to the right place. Dress nicely unlike me a typical tourist coming in berms and tshirt. Overall i had e set meal which was great and very filling. Come during lunch as i heard is cheaper.

Amazing experience! Firstly, I recommend booking in advance as they get fully booked very quickly. Secondly, the staff are amazing, patient and polite. You get to see your meat cooked right in front of you and the kobe beef just melts in your mouth! Definitely recommend coming to this place if you want to have some of the best kobe beef you ever have. Be prepared to pay the price for it !

I believe Ishida is rated TOP 5 in Google search. The experience was great right from the start all the way to the end. The menu is generally set based where the options are the beef marbling and the size (grams). Food is really good and the service is attentive. This is basically a Teppanyaki fine dinning experience (well at least the price is). If you are the type that is willing to spend a little more on great food when on a holiday, this is the place to go for Kobe Beef when in Kobe

If you're a foodie, you can't visit Japan without trying Kobe beef, and one of the best places to enjoy it is at a Kobe beef steak restaurant The restaurant is small and cozy, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features a range of Kobe beef dishes, including the famous Kobe beef steak. The chefs take great care in selecting the highest quality beef and preparing it to perfection, ensuring that each bite is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The steak is cooked right in front of you on a hotplate, allowing you to see the skilled chefs at work. The presentation is also impressive, with each dish beautifully arranged and garnished with fresh herbs and vegetables. Aside from the Kobe beef, the restaurant also offers a range of other dishes, including seafood and vegetarian options. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, and they can recommend the perfect wine or sake pairing to complement your meal.

If you are visiting Kobe spend the extra bucks and visit this amazing establishment. I could cry the flavors were so amazing. We had the Sirloin and Tenderloin. The chefs had no problem with us sharing and spilt the cuts 50/50. It's all about the tenderloin in my opinion. The courses served before and after the main solidified the expierence.

The best part of the experience was trying to find the restaurant. There are 10 outlets in Kobe, all quite close proximity and finding the right one is a Treasure Hunt. We finally managed to find it, third time lucky and sat by the Teppanyaki counter. It was great quality beef and my parents who are usually quality agnostic between different beef qualities, could tell this was good beef. We all enjoyed this experience, just be prepared for a splurge for this experience. As they say, when in Kobe, eat as the Kobeians do. :)

Was really good, attentive service. I got the lunch special meal 130g and it came out to a little over 11,000¥ because of the tax. There was a decent amount of food, but not a lot of meat. If you don't eat that much then this meal is pretty filling. I would recommend getting the bigger size if you eat good American size portions. Check out my photos for an idea of what they give you in the meal I selected. I did eat some of my meat before I could remember to take a photo. Also the place is teppanyaki and they cook it in front of you. 😁 You might want to make a reservation if you are not going alone since they only offer 9 seats.

This was the best restaurant I have been to in a long time. If you want to experience a true Japanese beef experience this place is a must. The number of courses was amazing and the chef was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and where they came from. By the end I was so full I could barely walk.

Ishida Kobe has been one of my most popular wagyu recommendations in recent years. I have a tradition, if I’m in Osaka I’ll make a 45-minute train ride to Kobe for lunch. We ordered the A5 Kobe beef lunch 150g (8,800¥) and the Japanese black cattle lunch 120g (4,980¥). All lunch courses come with a salad, an appetizer, fried & pickled vegetables, miso soup, white or garlic (+500¥) rice, dessert (sherbet), and coffee or tea. The appetizer that day was roasted wagyu beef and rare seared wagyu. The chef asked if we wanted to split the beef so we can each try both cuts, we did. The seasoning provided with your beef includes, fried garlic chips, wasabi, pepper, 2 types of salt, soy sauce, and ponzu. They really covered all their bases. The A5 Kobe beef was amazing as always. The juices explode on every bite and the melt in your mouth texture is always exciting. It’s perfect with some ponzu or wasabi to really cut through that fattiness. While the black cattle steak has that bite of meatiness to it that gives you an extra few second to savor its presence on your palate before melting. I like to just eat it with a little salt or soy sauce to really bring out that extra flavor. My wife had white rice while I opted for garlic rice that’s fried in the trimmed & rendered wagyu fat. Yes, those meat pieces in the photo are wagyu fat. Worth the extra hour at the gym I guarantee it. Recommendation: Ishida has something for everyone, you can go affordable or splurge. Their lunch menu is fantastic for those who are looking to get the Kobe experience without break the bank. For me, my wife can’t eat too much wagyu because of the fattiness, can opt for the lower grade beef and still enjoy a great meal.

Having researched the most popular restaurants in Kobe to have Kobe beef specifically, this was the best, and I support all the positive things that have been said about it. There is a crazy amount of places that serve "Kobe beef" and a crazy amount of variation on the authenticity and quality, so I'd recommend this place if you want the best of both. It's pricey to be sure, but you get what you pay for here. You can have the steak a la carte but the meal options are a great way to get the full experience. Plan to spend about 60min for the meals if all you do is eat, as each next course is prepared in front of you as you finish the first. The weight of beef may seem small, but if you haven't had Kobe beef before be careful because it's extremely filling - 150g is about as much as the average person would likely comfortably fit. The staff were very kind and can provide service in English if needed - they have an English menu as well. Maybe there's some disconnect with reservations by phone though; I was told it was full but I walked there anyway and it was empty the whole time I was there, maybe don't bother with reservations and just risk the line. That was the only inconvenience in an otherwise great experience!

It’s an awesome restaurant where you can experience Kobe beef and the service is wonderful. I didn’t know that all good Kobe beef restaurant requires booking in advance and almost left Kobe without tasting Kobe beef. I tried my luck, walked in and asked if they can accommodate 1 pax. I was super lucky to secure a seat for later slot. The whole experience of dining is simply wonderful…! 😘

👍 It is a long-established Sapporo beer hall in Kobe. It collapsed during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, but is now operating in a new building. The fried chicken is very delicious and famous. It's the perfect place to have a beer and talk with your friends.
