Because I am a muslim, I never knew how the "real ramen" taste like. This restaurant I think is the nearest with the authentic experience, and taste of Japanese ramen that I always thought. The halal label just so muslims can eat it. Other that that, this restaurant is the same with other ramen restaurant in Japan. From the technique of making, presenting even their occha is real Japanese style. It such a shame that their business was damaged heavily by covid19. The staff even said sometime they only got only one costumer. I guess locals probably wont visit it because the halal thing. Which actually doesn't have to bother them. It was only a sign that it was muslim can eat there. Their price is around 700-1200 yen for M to XL size ramen. There are shoyu, and miso ramen. The place is beautiful and relaxing. Wide with well decorated ornament. They also served other menus that you can check by yourselves by contact them. Hope they survive this pandemic. Totally gonna eat there when come back.

Only visit this place if you have no other option. Very disappointed to find that ramen outside Japan would taste so much better than ramen in Japan. The cost is higher than average due to the cost of halal ingredients. Please take note that they are using authentic halal ingredients with good quality. HOWEVER, they are not using any recipe that is Japanese. The soup can be compared to instant noodle flavours. The noodles had a good texture but, zero tastein the soup. Vegetable toppings were bland. Pickled menma was definitely pre made. The ramen egg was overcooked with a dry yolk. 1) The queue was very long. Waited 30 minutes. 2) After queueing for 30 minutes we were seated. We had to wait an additional 30 minutes- 1 hour before getting our food. 3) we ordered 3 different ramen dishes, all 3 we're badly seasoned and bland. 4) Missing items that the waiters forgot about. 5) The waiter brought another spicy one we did not order after we finished eating. 6) People who enjoyed eating at this establishment have not had any proper ramen and should not benchmark this as a good experience worth queuing for.

Another halal restaurant in Osaka! However this one was quite busy and getting a booking was hard but we managed to make a booking for dinner on a weekday. The restaurant has had a change to it's menu but the food was still amazing! We had the wagyu beef rice dish, fried chicken pieces and katsu chicken with rice. All the food was amazing and tasted so good. The portion size for the fried chicken was quite big! Staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a nice decor. Definitely recommend this place!

Delicious halal restaurant. Wagyu beef on rice and chicken with rice both delicious. Fried dumplings and fried chicken were better than any other halal restaurant we have had in Osaka. Super crazy busy so make a reservation and be patient while they serve you. Thank you.

Spacious halal restaurant that I have been to in Japan. Naniwaya special ramen - happy with taste. Put it in big bowl for medium, hence thought it was little. Spicy miso ramen - very spicy. Like Indomie pedas. Tried in Tokyo and Kyoto before and not this spicy. Inform the waiter for less spicy. Fried chicken - not juicy. Dry. Suggest not to order this. Wagyu slices - recommended. Good taste. Overall happy with this for its spacious place.

If you’re searching halal ramen in Osaka, search no more. Tasty, flavorful and perfectly portioned with great price. The staff can speak japanese, english & indonesian, so it’s foreigner friendly too, which kinda hard to find in Japan. A muslim prayer room is also available. We’ve tried their spicy miso ramen & miso ramen. The spicy miso ramen is quite spicy, so if you’re not used to eat spicy food, you better off with the normal miso ramen one. For us it was perfect though, so not really an issue. We also tried their gyoza (fried dumpling), it was handmade and was made with chicken meat. That was really important for us since almost every gyoza stand in Osaka sell gyoza with pork filling. The gyoza itself was tasty. Overall, we were satisfied with the food and the service. We will come back soon before we return to our country & also share this to our friends who are in search of halal ramen in Osaka.

The location is around 300 meters from Dotonbori. The place is quite large, there is a small prayer room. The staff are Indonesian, they are very friendly. There are also various menu choices, not only ramen. The two of us ate 2 servings of ramen, chicken and dumplings, around 4000-5000 yen total.

The restaurant is located at 3rd floor now. The ground floor as per past photos is closed. Theres a signboard outside "Halal Wagyu Naritaya" which is actually the same restaurant. Go up the stairs. Opens from 12pm-3pm. But please come just after 12pm as theres not many seats. If come late after 1pm need to wait upstairs 4th floor. Big family may have problems to dine in. Not sure if 4th floor is opened for dining. Bringing Elderly with/without wheelchair not recommended as theres no elevator. Waiting time a bit long. Food..okay,i love the fried chickens. Ramen is pretty tasty too.

Delicious, fresh and full of flavour! I got the “B” special from the set menu. Naritaya Ramen set. It came with ramen in a bowl with chicken pieces, a boiled egg (to perfection) and also gave me a choice for fried chicken or dumplings. I got both (paid extra for the dumplings as it only comes with one or the other) but also got free ice cream as part of the set. A nice umami soup base, bouncy noodles and good flavour over all. Dumplings were great. Fried chicken was tasty but could have been fried a few minutes more. It was a tiny bit unfinished I felt. The chicken in the soup was good, boiled chicken flavour, but not bad. I would recommend and I would come back and try other dishes next time for more goodness. And Yeag best of all— it’s halal! The set was for 1900 and the extra fried dumplings were 350 for 3 pieces. 👍🏼

Alhamdulillah for a fully halal Japanese food (no alcohol or pork) restaurant in the heart of Dotonbori. The restaurant is clearly signed/marked and easy to find. We came around 5 minutes after its opening for dinner, on a weekday night, and there was already a crowd! So expect to wait a little. Food was a little slow (almost an hour). I would make a reservation if you have a large group. Taste wise - we had the Special Ramen Naniwaya Set, Curry Chicken & Rice, and Wagyu Yakiniku. 4/5 for taste, the wagyu could be more tender but the taste was good. A tiny bit disappointed that the matcha ice cream was vanilla ice cream powdered with a little matcha rather than mixed into the ice cream, but maybe that’s how it is here. The ramen is okay, but not amazing. The curry chicken was alright, could do with more flavour. Portion wise - Medium is for 1 person! I’d recommended getting one meal per person and if you’re hungry - upsize to a Large! Price wise - spent around ¥1900 each person. There is also a small prayer room with a small wudhu area for salah.

Food and presentation was good. There are not many Japanese menu Halal eateries around and I think this is one of the best I found in Osaka. The place may be a bit crowded during weekends especially if L4 was reserved and you have limited eating space.

Halal ramen shop in the center of Osaka. Located on the third floor, you have to climb up the stairs without the elevator. It can accommodate around twenty five people in one time. The price is quite high but reasonable due to its location. The taste is also good. It is advisable to reserve first because lots of tourists might visit.

Best Ramen I have tried in Japan! Very delicious meals . Friendly staff and talented chef ! Restaurant took into consideration our low-salt meal request which we deeply appreciated for the sake of my father's health condition. Thank you for the lovely dinner !

Wagyu is amazing with affordable price!! Order the set menu, Place a bit too small for the crowd but we always got our space, the key is do not come during lunch time, a bit late for lunch but not too crowded.. the best thing is they have mushala ( prayer room) but you need to prepare your own mukena ( for women )

Visited this halal restaurant at weekend for dinner. I tried their Special Naritaya Ramen Size L. Good quality of ramen, chicken was juicy, noodle was soft and a little bit chewy, and the soup was ok. The portion is so big, I think the normal size is enough lol. If you come to Osaka, I recommend this restaurant for muslim, so you can still experience the taste of Japanese ramen.

This place was well worth the wait! Got the wagyu dish set with fried chicken, dumplings and mango juice -- everything was perfect! Meat was super tender and fried dumplings and chicken super crispy. Owner and staff were all very kind and quick. Highly highly recommend if you're in the area.

My go to when exploring Osaka due to its very convenient location in Namba as well as competitive pricing! I visited the established 3 out of my 7 evenings in Osaka, there’s usually a wait time outside which ranged from 10 minutes to 40 minutes due to space, and another wait time of 20-30 minutes to receive the food, Hence my 3 stars for both Service and Atmosphere. The food however is really good, I enjoyed the Spicy Miso Ramen 🍜 as well as the Fried Chicken , a 5/5 star experience of the Ramen experience here. InshaAllah they can improve the service by opening a chain of stores with all the business and support they receive every evening, as they’ve always been full weekday and weekend Alhamdulillah

This is the second halal restaurant this week that we tried in Osaka. The first is halal Chinese food. There's a queue here for around 30 minutes. Plus order food in about 20 minutes. We ordered chicken ramen and spicy miso ramen, topped with ice cream. The service is good and friendly, the meal is accompanied by Maher Zain's songs.

I got the ramen set but recommend the wagyu instead, it was worth it & the beef was delicious. The place was small and squeezey, we were seated at the window seat which was 0.5m near the next table’s seat! Guests from that table wanted to get up which meant I had to get up too while eating, to let them pass. The lighting in the eatery could also be brighter

Recommended halal food in Osaka. Taste was good and most importantly Halal Certified. Located in a small alley but it's easy to navigate. This restaurant is not big enough. Better to avoid dinner peak hours or come for an early dinner tho. You can enjoy your meal on an open kitchen. Will come back here.

There was a quite long line when we arrived. We waited for 15 minutes until one waitress came out and said that we had to write down our names until we asked him where the line. It took about 40 minutes for us to get seated. The taste of ramen was delicious, and i love the fried chicken. I think they need to have more waitress since the day i came it was quite chaotic, there were customers who asked for water, chopsticks and wanted to order but it took quite long time because the waitresses were so busy. Overall, the services needs to be improved and the foods were all good.

Super nice place to eat halal ramen in Osaka! Naritaya is already certified halal and (as far as I know) has several shops across Japan. The inside is quite loud with an open kitchen, music playing in the background, and the bright colors of the picture and posters of the special menus, polaroids of visitors and stuffs about Japan. My family and I are placed on the regular table, but you may also be placed on the table in front of the open kitchen and be able to see the chefs cook! The menu is quite simple but it's enough to cover what's needed (though I wished they would put details of the each dish on the menu). The taste of the food is pretty good and the noodles were quite a lot so I'm satisfied with it! The service was okay and they served the food pretty quickly (also you get free water as service!). Overall, this place is great for muslim visitors. It's also easy to navigate by foot since it's pretty close to the station (closest is Nagahoribashi Station) and it's also quite close from the city center of Dotonbori. Looking forward to eat there again^^

I'm not sure how the real ramen taste, I'm never taste it. But according to my Japanese friend this ramen more like Taiwanese ramen. It use clear broth with light taste. If you not familiar with Japanese taste, and more into spicy type of food you can try spicy meal in the menu. I prefer that one. There is prayer room but if you come with big number of family member, this restaurant can be really compact.

Enjoyed the food very much. Very homey restaurant in Osaka, Japan, glad we found it. Recommended if you around, of course many other places you may choose but then again individual are different taste bud. I might enjoyed it but not my parties. So it depends, hit or miss. Traveling is all about trying new stuff. Be open mind & just go with the flow. Think less and take it easy, you might find everything is ok and nice.

Dinner call ( walked over from Dotonburi area ) and we land at Ramen Naniwaya. Line as usual and we got to wait it out. Recommend to bring your portable sit down bench/stool in case standing it out is not your forte. Got to the table eventually after a long wait as they forgot to check that there were folks waiting outside which probably resulted in an extra 30 minutes ( dinged 2 stars for that while their service was great) of wait time for us. We got medium orders of Shoyu and Spicy Miso Ramen each. Along with that we got a small order of Deep fried chicken and Wagyu Yakiniku ( so good that we ended up repeating our order ) as well. It took another 25 minutes or more before we got our food on the table. The Ramen orders came out first and turned out to be just fine. The quantity of meat in the Ramen though could have been more as it came with a very small amount of it. Fried chicken was cooked to perfection and so was the case with Wagyu as well. Not many Halal Ramen options at this point in time and they are doing a great job by providing atleast one to three customers. Also when you get in there please do step in at your turn in line and asked to be seated as chances are that they might have forgotten that there would be a line out there that needs to be seated. Give them a try!!! PS: they do happen to have a prayer room as well just in case you happen to be in need of one.

So authentic. I came the following day and tried all type of rice menu (chicken rice, wagyu rice, and spicy chicken curry), and again.. all delicious.. there is no sign of which dish is recommended, because all are recommended.. 😄 Small Praying room also available..

Our visit here could have been so much better if - a waiter or someone had come to tell us how much wait there still was before we could have a table. We waited for more than an hour without anybody caring. That was a little frustrating. - people weren’t passing us saying they had a reservation even though I am not even sure we can make reservations in this restaurant, but the staff let them sit before us anyway. - there were more waiters/waitress to serve the customers. The waitress was serving, cleaning, washing the dishes and collecting money with the other waiter and we could clearly see a lack of staff. - there were more plates, bowls to serve the food as soon as it is ready instead of waiting too long for the cleaning. - the waiters didn’t bring my husband’s order way before mine, he had already finished when I started eating. 3 persons who sat before us were still waiting for their order. - the waiters didn’t forget our orders. We asked for 2 drinks and they didn’t come until we asked for them again after we had been served dinner. - the waiters weren’t overwhelmed by their job, they forgot to bring the drinks and they seem to lose their orders in the pile. - we weren’t served after a long wait even after sitting down. - the fried chicken was great, a lot of oil though and the Ramen was good but the chicken inside was overcooked. For the quantity, maybe there is a bit much, I saw that a lot of person didn’t finish there plates, me included even though I usually never waste. They were really nice though and the food is okay, it’s quiet, but I don’t think I would come back and wait 1h for food and service if it’s not just perfect.

This former ramen naniwaya restaurant, but now they renewed their taste and menu. Definitely different from the previous one. The taste is much better and I obviously will become reguler customer. They almost never run out the side dish menu like fried gyoza, karaage and spring roll. These side dish taste as good as the miso ramen. It takes time to serve the food because the restaurant is large and accept more people but still in reasonable time also worth the taste and price.

The best halal food I eat in Japan so far. I ordered their spicy chicken curry (M) and fried chicken (S). The spicy chicken curry is super delicious! Not too spicy for me. If you are Indonesian, I think you should add the spicy level. They have three size of curry and I chose the smallest one (M), but it's a lot too! I am so full. The chicken in curry also so good and tender. The fried chicken also in 3 size. The small one has 3 pieces. Crispy and juicy! I definitely will come back to try their ramen! P.S. - The place is so spacious, so I don't wait too long in line. - They have prayer room. - The toilet is clean enough. - They serve free water. - You can pay with cash or card.

I came here to try because of the halal status. One of halal ramen near namba. But very disappointed with the services. I have to wait 50 minutes to get my ramen and the ladies waitress too slow and a bit blur about what we ordered. We order drink but the drinks only came after we finished eating. For me the taste of the ramen not really good. Not 100% like Japanese ramen more like instant noodles. Chicken inside the ramen also not fully cooked. Price also a bit pricey.

A beautiful halal restaurant in Osaka and highly recommended. The waiter was very welcoming and spoke English, Indonesian and Japanese. Food didn't take long to serve. We ordered the ramen set and it was so delicious! The fried chicken was a nice appetiser although I would prefer if there was some sauce with it rather than powdered chilli. Great that we found a halal place which also had a prayer room. The interior was cosy, the restaurant was not big. There was one big table which can have 8 persons. Others can take a seat on the bar setting. The menu also had vegetarian options, not much but still do-able. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Only thing is that we had to wait for our food for some time. I had the vegetarian dish which tasted good but expected more fillings (veggies or other vegetarian add ons).

Honestly not the best ramen ive ever had but it was pretty solid. It was the first clear broth ramen ive ever had actually, and it was nice and not as salty as most ramens tend to be despite the shoyu broth, bit of a nice mix. Apparently it was also halal so im not sure what the meat actually was. The meal was also misleading because they said XL was really huge, but it was just a really big, deep bowl. It was still a good portion size for 900 yen, and i mean, i was still filled up. Majority of the meal was just noodles and veggies. My partner's food was a bit too salty for her liking though The interiors and atmosphere was also good. We were seated on the bar which was nice, and I personally enjoyed seeing them make the food. They also have nice cosy seating arrangements.

For context, I'm an Indonesian, and there's a lot of delicious halal ramen restaurant in Indonesia. We arrived around 7 PM local time. Searched halal ramen in Osaka and found Naniwaya. Honestly unimpressed by what we got. Food: - Ordered Special Naniwaya Set - Ramen soup isn't that thick and not tasty. Had to add a lot of chili powder. Soup isn't that warm either. Just mild. At least the portion is big and the chicken slices are thigh. - Fried chicken is so delicious. - Ordered hot tea, got just a mild tea, not hot. Service: - Waited 20 minutes outside for the waiting list. Saw there were some tables empty. Wondered why we're not let inside. But then people were told to get in not by the waiting list. - Waited 15 minutes until we got served, and 30 minutes until our food arrived. People who came before us were served first, non-Indonesians (there were at least 4 Indonesian groups back then). One server, a guy, thin one, short hair, too focused on others, ignoring us even though we waved in front of his face. - We got our food only after another Indonesian group asked for it, because they were sitting besides us. Atmosphere: - No issue with this.

Food are delicious, recommended halal food at affordable price. Staff very friendly. It has prayer room, small and clean. We can order food for take away, like curry rice or fried chicken. So, we can still eat halal food at the hotel or in our way to other city.. Like it very much ????

Authentic Halal Japanese cuisine in Osaka. Best to make reservation for your lunch/dinner plans as the restaurant might get crowded. They have a cosy prayer room as well. Enjoy!

If you look for halal place to eat in Osaka, come to Naritaya. The prices range cover every budget, depending on what you eat.

Nice place though the space is quite compact. This is another option of halal food if you visit Osaka. It might be full if you come at dinner hour. The restaurant team also speak bahasa to help you with order.

Came at 1:45pm and they only had the set lunches and the main menu was only serving at 2pm but the chef was kind enough to make an exception and let us order from the main menu. I ordered the stewed beef ramen. It was a bit too sweet for my taste but overall it was good. Had the 3pc chicken and 3pc Gyoza. It wad nice but unfortunately the portions were too small. They have a chilli paste which taste great with the chicken and gyoza.

September 2022 For those who are wondering if this restaurant is open: YES, IT IS OPEN! The restaurant is at the 3rd floor, it doesn’t have any prayer room. This halal Japanese restaurant is located at the heart of Osaka, Shinsaibashi, only 10 minutes from the Glico Sign. One wagy don special set is ¥2,500 that contains wagyu don + fried chicken/gyoza + drink, which is a very good offer. You can opt for an ala carte dish too, and it’s of course cheaper. The taste is delicious! If you want to try an authentic Japanese cuisine, you should definitely go to this restaurant.

All menu is halal. Food is delicious with affordable price. Atmosphere is really good, but maybe it needs more space. Prayer room available. I hope the wudhu facility could be improved. Close to Daimaru and Parco. Overall, excellent experience. Thank you for providing Japanese ramen Muslims can enjoy safely.

We love the food here.Great value for money. It's muslim friendly, uses halal food and they dont sell alcohol. There was only one staff who attended to us at that time.He seemed to be doing everything ,from taking order, preparing food, maning counter etc.But he was very pleasant, doing everything with always a smile on his face.Kudos to him. Highly recommend the place. Will visit again.
