Great place to discover when visiting Kobe. Lots of food stores near the port. Unfortunately, the Kobe Tower is being repaired now. I recommend you visit in the evening so that you can enjoy the beautiful scenery when the lights are on. No ticket is needed. If you have more time, you also can enjoy Kobe scenery from above by using the Port Line going from China Town to Port Terminal.

This is a lovely place to walk around on a lovely day. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to visit, most of which is high quality. Though it’s beautiful to come during the day, you must visit at night as well. You can see all of the buildings along the coast light up at night. It is a spectacle that you cannot miss while visiting Kobe!

A peaceful harbor with shopping mall and food restaurants nearby. Popular to the tourist and locals, the Kobe tower is under renovation. Great night view from the opposite side of mosaic. Great place to stroll after a long day.

A very large mall and outdoor space to enjoy a family day or date. The location has lots of attractions and shops for you to explore and enjoy. They have cruises, amusement and novelty stores alike. If you park below the umie mall you make sure to bring you card with you and give it to the shop clerk after you buy something because parking fee will be free or deducted. I also suggest downloading the umie app when shopping around as it gives you points and coupons.

Nice place to see if visiting Kobe especially at night. Nice restaurants around that you can taste local cuisine as well as international cuisines but a bit pricey. Cheaper and satisfactory options can be found alongside rail track though.

It has a unique atmosphere that can only be found here in Kansai, and it's especially beautiful at night, making it my favorite place.

Undoubtedly one of the must-see places in Kobe City. This bustling center has shopping centers right next to each other and you can enjoy the view while having a coffee or eating lunch/dinner. Right now the Kobe Tower is under renovation. Too bad I wasn't able to see it. But I'm looking forward to its reopening and will be definitely be back here to see it with my own eyes. Still, it's still worth visiting because there are a lot of things to do in this place: rides at the amusement park, strolling, basking in the sun by the shore, etc

Famous for its luscious beef and crisp, pure sake, the Japanese port of Kobe is a thriving metropolitan city with an international feel. The sake-brewing season runs from October through April, and that's the best time to take a tour of a kura (the Japanese word for brewery). Visit the Hakutsure Sake Brewery Museum year-round. Naturally, the nightlife here is prime perfection.Checking out the night sights Kobe's central location between the mountains and the sea offers you an eclectic collection of sightseeing and day trip opportunities. If you are interested in getting a different perspective on the city, you can scale Kobe Port Tower , a 108-meter-high observation tower located on the city's waterfront between the Kobe Harborland entertainment and shopping district and Meriken Park . You can also take in what many consider Japan's best nighttime view by swinging up the Kobe-Nunobiki Ropeway , which scales the side of the Rokko mountain chain, to a breathtaking panorama of the city lights at night. For a completely different view of the city, there's also lunch and dinner cruises that launch from Nakatottei Chuo Terminal on the bay. Scenic walks and seaside parks Kobe also boasts a number of impressive parks and waterfront hotspots. Check out the famous Sorakuen Garden , a traditional Japanese landscape garden in the middle of the city, or consider a 40-minute hike from Shin-Kobe Station up to the Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden, passing Nunobiki Falls along the way. Chinatown Kobe is home to Nankinmachi , one of Japan's three main Chinatown districts, which offers plenty of street food and bubble tea. It is about a 5-minute walk from JR Motomachi Station.

Such a beautiful harbour port and it's stunning to be there when weather was lovely. The mall near by was huge as usual, yet not as busy as Tokyo or Osaka, which was really enjoyable. A great day trip if you're in Osaka. Oh, Kobe beef would be amazing only if you are ready to spent US$200 on it.

A beautiful harbour, well designed and maintained, which was nice to visit on a sunny 😎 and windy🍃 winter morning. Ferris wheel 🎡, port tower🗼 and harbour ferries ⛴️ are all iconic elements that represent Kobe as a port city. The museum, art exhibits and various shopping malls like Mosaic, North mall and South mall right here will ensure that you'll put aside at least half a day to properly browse the place. Ample parking is available in the vicinity.

The beef hotpot here is very delicious, the spring rolls are soft and delicious. Buffer should eat and drink comfortably. Beef dipped in sauce with super delicious mushrooms and vegetables. There are many types of beer and wine drinks to choose from. Especially, there is super delicious fresh ice cream for dessert

A natural meal for vegans. It's voluminous and satisfying. It will fill you up, but it will leave you feeling just right without feeling sluggish. The scenery overlooking the mountains of Ikoma and the variety of seasonings make for a very delicious meal.

I arrived late on a weekday afternoon and had a night view and dinner. September is also hot during the day, so it is best to visit in the evening. I like the scene of the cruise ship coming, the Ferris wheel, and the streets and lights at night.

Huge shopping district with lots to see and do. Was very packed on the day as they had a car show aka the Delorean from back to the future and a fair by the harbour. Lots of fun for the family plus a bit of shopping.

Great shopping area, and atmosphere. This shopping center has pretty much everything you need, from groceries, retail fashion and restaurants. Perfect location to spend the day by yourself or friends!

It's one of the most convenient hotels in Kobe, with quick underground access to JR Kobe Station and city bus terminal. Rooms are a bit larger than typical business hotels. Rooms are clean but pillows could be softer. Good views of the city from the restaurant on the 17th floor. The teppanyaki part of the restaurant is private and gourmet style so be prepared to pay 20,000 yen per person. Breakfast and regular dinner are more affordable. You can also walk over to the Harborland Mall or go to the underground shops by the station for food too. This trip was a solo business trip but I bring student groups here every two years so it is a good area for families too.

Kind of shopping district and some playground in Kobe area. They have several seat in some places so you can enjoy the surrounding while sitting. It was very huge area and it is recommended to ask the information center or look at the map so you might not get lost. Very recommended place to go with family and friends.

Pleasant area by the sea in Kobe with plenty of shopping and entertainment options. Highlight for me was the Ferris wheel which gives a panoramic view of the coastal Kobe area. Easy to get to - short walk from Kobe station.

A big mall and watery place that you can walk to the upper deck to overlook the harbour of Kobe. Lots of restaurants for you to try and enjoy the local cuisine. Also a children fun park like flying wheel and other ride that children can spend time with. A big shopping mall linked to it that you can go and shop for your daily stuffs like clothing and necessities !
