Be ready to walk a lot - this place is huge. It’s also quite out of the way, as it takes a bus ride to get here if you don’t have a car. That being said, this place has great walking trails among all kinds of plants, trees, and flowers. There are also picnic tables, so it’s easy to bring a lunch and spend a full day here! The arboretum is especially popular in Spring during cherry blossoms season, and Autumn when the leaves change. The scene around the pond is especially beautiful!

Big park with nice scenery and views. Definitely coming here again :) Parking is kinda overpriced, its 500 yen!

Within this vast botanical garden, covering over 142 hectares and showcasing the best of Mt. Rokko's nature, you can experience beautiful forests and flora from all corners of the globe, including North America, Europe, Asia and more. Pride of place may go to the spectacular array of 50,000 or so hydrangea plants - the flower of Kobe and famed nationwide within this arboretum when in bloom. Other highlights include fresh greenery, azaleas, rhododendron, red leaves, leafy strolls and much more.

Great walk, even in December, the end of maple leaves and hydrangeas, but even without much in bloom, still a pretty place.

Absolutely beautiful park with gorgeous colours during autumn. Large variety of trees and flowers with beautiful gardens for picnics and kids to explore. Probably a good idea to drive to the park since public transportation is not ideal. Highly recommended.

Lovely place esp in fall. A must see in kobe. If you're going by train, there is a bus that directly goes to thepark from sannomiya. Be careful since Saturday is full and commuting is a bit difficult. It's very big and beautiful. The kids' area is awesome. Highly recommend.

This is a very nice place to watch cherry blossom and spend a whole day in. It has spaces for small children and toddlers to play, but they can’t bring in their bicycles or other equipment. We found a part of a huge tree that was brought in from the USA. It was mentioned that its age goes back to the time when Christ (PBUH) was born. There is a small restaurant inside, but it closes early in the evening so we couldn’t have dinner there. There is a fee to enter this park and to park your car, but it worth paying for.

Great park to visit. All trees has tags with names. Various habitat sections. Natural grass large play areas. Many covered places to rest or eat. Easy access. Parking on site.

I visited on 22/11/2023. There is the free shuttle bus at Kitasuzurandai station. The bus was punctual, and it wasn't crowded. The natural surroundings and scenery were beautiful, offering a relaxing experience as I walked around and enjoyed the views.

A beautiful, park-like botanical garden with many interesting plants, almost a "must" for a (hobby) biologist when you are in Hyogo. Most explanations are in Japanese, rarely in English. Highly recommended for a day trip, unfortunately somewhat awkward to reach from downtown Kobe without a car (at least 1 hour from Sannomiya).

It is large area to explore and relax, Not much variety of flowers to see when i went in second week of June. Its Cozy and relaxing to see greenary and pleasant atmosphere. there is food court and washroom. food court has limited option of meal. There is separate Icecream shop too inside the Arboretum. The entry fees is 500¥ per person including parking. I think its a good rate for what you get to see and explore unique plants, flowers and wildlife.

Green space for people who love nature. My purpose was watching ajisai flower, so this place is under expectation. Not many as I hoped, flowers'size was small (2020.6.21) (Maybe it depends on time) Enchance Fee: 300jyp. Take about 40mins by bus from Sannomiya Kobe station.

Wonderful park and gardens. Plenty of parking and large enough to absorb lots of people. Marvellous selection of plants but I particularly enjoyed some of the magnificent trees. Worth a visit.
